Bagatelle No. 25 in A minor for solo piano, commonly known as "Für Elise" is one of Ludwig van Beethoven's most popular compositions. In general, Beethoven's strength was not so much in composing memorable melodies, but more in creating grand musical forms and concepts. However, this simple melody has endeared listeners all over the world and has become one of the most popular classical tunes ever. It was not published during his lifetime, only being discovered forty years after his death, and may be termed either a Bagatelle or an Albumblatt.
In performance of classical as well as original music, Danish concert pianist and composer Werner Elmker emphasizes the importance of improvisation as the main source of all great music. Improvised music is 'fresh' music created in the moment, and often gives a stronger experience than music notated on paper. Most of the great composers used improvisation during recitals and composing. Like the classical masters, Dr. Elmker improvises in his own tonal language which finds its origin in previous styles of classical music. He utilizes free improvisation, improvisation on original melodies, classical themes, folksongs, and film music. Through performances, CDs, radio programs and education, he seeks to reinvigorate the lost art of classical improvisation.

Very beautiful. I like the slow version better.
Mee too
🤝 true beauty comes when elise is played slow
Try adjusting the video speed.
Yeah so much more calming
Me too
So often this beautiful piece is ruined by people trying to show off their brilliance through fast playing. This version is so meaningful. Thank you.
A brilliant interpretation.
I love Für Elise played slow. I feel so much more emotion coming from the piece. Because of the reason why Beethoven wrote the piece, I feel like his longing is more dramatic when conveyed slower. I think it's sadder and easier to connect with in my opinion. Well played Sir!
💯
Definitely 👍
Much more sensitive, deep and emotional. Thanks for this wonderful version !
💯💯
I remember when I was a child I had a clock and a dancing couple attached to it...whenever that couple dance this song used to play...as I grew up..I forget about that clock but sometimes I remember this sound....one day in 2020 one of my friend send me a video of this music and I searched it on youtube...I am very happy after founding this song....also thank you rahul...
Ikr! There was a blue jirraf doll I once owned when I was a kid and when you hug it it was plays this song and we even called her the doll elie lol... pure nostalgia
I think I had something like that. I searched high and low to find this piece (it’s hard to find music when there’s no lyrics) and I finally found it and was so excited… it’s very relaxing
Similarly , one of a gift I got had a couple statue inside a glass ball filled with glitters , it played this song.
Well well… in the 90’s we had this instrument playing this music which we would put near the telephone as a hold music. Searched for this music for so many years
i like this slow version better , so relaxing and romantic
I've always liked the slow version of fur Elise sine i was a kid
Yessss still takes me back, I used to rush home from school in grade 3 to listen to Fur Elise, I was always searching for the slowed version at that time (2005), but now I've found it.
This is soo beautiful, could sleep off while listening and not because it’s boring but because it’s soothing to hear at this tempo
This is the best version for a piano beginner. I started 3 months ago all by myself from knowing absolutely 0 about piano nor any instrument. I followed many other videos but none of them really helped as much as this one. Beautiful and slow for a beginner to follow. I listened almost everyday in past 3 month before I started to practice. 3 months later, finally i could play the whole song. Just want to say thank you for play this so beautifully and motivated a beginner to complete the whole piece. The best thing I have learned during pandemic work from home time.
send us a link of a video where you play piano. im curious to see how much progress one has made in something less than a year ?
The serenity in this is incomparable .......
Great thanks to Bethoven for writing the song and all artists who played it. Fur Elise is one of my few memoris about my grandmother, it means a lot to me.
🤩
I had a jewellery box that played this tune that i inherited from my grandmother, I miss that time of life immensely . .
The shifting tempo adds so much more to an already beautiful work of art. My favorite adaptation of this piece so far.
This is how I remembered the song growing up. I only discovered the original was really fast paced when I tried to learn it
Slow sounds good... NOT the fast one... fast one sounds funny like Charlie Chaplin drama music
This slowed version feels intense and calming at the same time...
There is absolutely no need to deactiveate the like / dislikes because the way you play this beautiful song can only be liked. otherwise i cant explain why someone hate it, i REALLY dont know how.
There are trolls who randomly dislike everything without hearing or viewing it. Pay them no attention. This is a heavenly interpretation of this gorgeous piece.
Absolutely beautifully played. Thank you.
This is lovely I want to listen to it forever
This slow version brings out so many different emotions , I hope to have this one played at my funeral ,,,,, a lot of years from now . Beautifully played music .
I was very little when i had that casio on which this tune was preloaded, from them i love this. Now today, when i wanted it to listen, it still sounded the same and pleasing
This beautiful rendition is played as the composer meant it to be. He had soul, and this piece has meaning and mood - it reflects that exactly. You do Beethoven proud @WernerElmker. Thank you.
This is TRULY my favorite piece. A beautiful arrangement. My grandmother played and taught piano as I was growing up. The young ladies that she taught would play in churches in the area, school functions, and concerts. Thanks for this rendition 🎹
He makes it look so easy
I had a teddy bear as a kid that played this song never knew the name 16 years later I finally find the song
♥️🥺This piano makes me cry
This version always reminds me of tossing flowers into a loved one's grave. Almost like a connection to the other side.
I’m in tears I just got my first piano and I’m so excited to learn this truly a master piece 🔥😭
That's just how i felt when i got my own first piano...over 60 years ago. how are you doing? are you enjoying playing this beautiful classic?🎹

Lovely. Such an emotional piece of music. Thank you.
Thank you I’ve been looking everywhere for this, it was played at my moms funeral and every few years I’ll hear it somewhere but it’s always played so fast it’s nice seeing such beautiful piano work
so lovely
I listen to this song before I go to sleep…it calms me down and I just lay there and think then fall asleep
Wonderful and magical. The best version I've ever heard.
My hearing impaired wife plays the piano and is pretty much self taught. I wanted her to play this song slow for me. She said it's not that easy she "Feels and Hears" the music different than I do. I insensitively told her what's the big deal just slow it down. Yes I deserved a punch in the mouth. After a bit she played it for me, and it was as beautiful as you played it.
I love the slow version! Beautiful music. Making me tear up from happiness!
Just beautiful ❤️.... I love the slow version

This song reminds me of when I was a child and my uncle had given me a music box with that song on it, he died and I'm sad but I can remember him every time I hear the song, remembering my childhood by his side :c

Ever time I hear this music version, I imagine a couple who loved so much dancing or they broke up and they are thinking of each other so badly.
Wondefull, I think this is not the "slow" version, I think this is the only version. Thank you from Italy
As someone who has just learned this song he is still playing it faster than I do
i love it

Ich finde es langsam viel schöner. ❤❤❤
I am just thinking to myself how these songs are not normal and either GOD inspired Beethoven, he is amazing, or both. He is the best. RIP ❤

Viel besser als das schnelle, hab lange gesucht bis das jemand "langsam" spielt ..so viel schöner und mehr dramatisch:)
Im dying inside
