Phenomenal performance. You are truly masterful and I am so glad to have discovered your channel. I'm a recovering classical guitarist who took up piano to be able to play Bach's on the instrument he wrote on. I must admit that when I started this suite, I found the prelude fingerlings didn't feel that the piece was written for the keyboard either! In any event, bach captured the soul of the lute in this suite and the lautenwerke and this instrument with their gut strings capture the warmth wonderfully. I may have to get one! I suppose I'd be afraid of the tuning and repairs they must need all the time. Anyway, please keep posting and hope to hear some recordings of yours as well.
Most of the performances of this pice either sound rushed or way too loose/rubato. This one is great. It's very musical and smooth. Great job on the phrasing!
Good performance, a bit too fast and a bit sloppy at places, but not bad at all. Very enjoyable to listen. The instrument is amazingly beautiful - absolutely perfect for this piece.
What a unique instrument, and a great performance!
You truly spoil us with such eternally beautiful music for the ears by the great master Bach
素晴らしい演奏ありがとうございます♪😊🎉
Superb playing!
such a perfect piece for the timbre of this instrument! gorgeous fugue : )
I'm sure Bach would have loved this. It sounds very similar to the lute-harpsichord that he designed.
Lovely sounding clavicytherium. Well played.
Beautiful! It's refreshing to listen to a rendition of the prelude which does not ignore the pauses in the bass line.

Why a joy and pleasure to hear and I do hope Ryan will bless us with more! Marie- Louise Brulatour Mills
Wow your videos are fantastic! Your playing is fantastic. And I've never seen/heard a clavicytherium before, just looked it up.

Thank you such much for this!
Thank you very much ! ❤️
That 3rd inversion Vsus4 7/V-V7/V chord around 2:10 just kills me. Absolutely wonderful.
And wonderful performance! Bravo.
Enchanting.
Excellent Well done Master !! Por siempre Bach
Magnificent!
what a wonderfull instrument!
You are magnificent Ryan. Love you.
He is the man!
Thank you!
Nice,, I enjoyed,,
nice instrument . takes less room then an ordinary harpsichord .
good playing two :)
wow this is the fastest I've ever heard the fugue being played...
Lovely playing friend, do people ever tell you that you look like Eric Satie ever? Haha no bad thing at least and thanks for the upload
I agree that it is somewhat too fast (the Fugue and Allegro, at any rate), and this is one, along with many others, that is likely to get redone.
Wait this is a thing? I thought it was an upright! It’s an upright clavichord!
It is a "lautenwerk clavicytherium," an upright harpsichord with nylgut strings.

Is he playing without tabs?!
