This is exactly what we needed, and we really need to build off of it this time. Tico was genuinely a 9.5/10. Fantastic. Early goal to bag his first in MLS, great dribbles, skill, and attacking play in general. Everyone was on it today. The 4-2-3-1 worked very well against the counter and overall defending. Matt didn’t get tested once, just having him back as an insurance policy for the first time this year was nice. Adam with another lovely header, Seba probably could have had one, and Capi too. To be fair, Miami did get very unlucky with the Campana and Mabika injuries. Having to bring on two subs in two separate windows for important players is very unfortunate. Though Marsman was on the top of his game today, and needed to be. Considering the fact Lowe and Quinteros were collecting yellows for fun. I wouldn’t be surprised if Neville was laying into them right now. At least it’s not Bruce this time. Let’s put in an even better performance against the Crew!! GO REVS!!!!!!!
This is the first game the Revs have played with a healthy back 4 and keeper. And it showed. In fact, the only people not fully fit are Bou (who is training with the team) and Jozy (who is at least getting some minutes though he is not doing much with them). Credit to Marsman, he had some great saves on Gil and Polster or it could have been an easy rout. His defense sure as hell didn't help him (or bother to play the full 90 for that matter). Just when Neville seemed to have gotten things turned around in Miami they have one of the biggest mental lapses you can imagine.
Another embarrassing loss for Inter Miami, what a surprise! But anyway, it was great seeing Turner get the shutout tonight, I just worry about what's going to happen to both his minutes and his overall performance once he leaves for Arsenal.
Good performance for the Revs, but I don't know how much credit I can give them given: - First minute goal caused by a giveaway from Marsman (nice shot by Rivera, though) - 2 injury substitutions for Miami in the first 20 minutes (including Leo Campana) - 2 red cards for second yellows in the second half
When Marsman goes from world class saves to slipping on goal kicks… Much needed victory, clean sheet was crucial. Turner brings that little spark of energy we were missing, Tico’s goal in 55 seconds, we utterly dominated Miami. While Campana was injured, 2 red cards is unacceptable, Miami had 1 SOG after that! I will say luck was not in Miami’s side, and the Revs too full advantage. Hopefully Turner being back, along with the Kessler-Farrell duo keeps the clean sheets happening, and with Gustavo Bou being close to returning, I’m feeling good about the game against Crew. Overall good performance, great turnout of fans, and a much needed win. Go Revs!
4:58 the defensive player (number 2) looks to Buksa and try to stay near, even he is shorter than him. When you're in defense, one eye on the ball but mainly on the player, not giving him space. When the ball passes by and he has to chase the other player, Buksa is free to score the goal because the other defensive player is looking at the ball not to the player he should "glued". A basic thing when you play "soccer". If he had next to Buksa maybe he couldn't head tha ball so easily.

Well this is a last defender situation and blocking the attacker from running to goal. It was a light foul, which it was a second yellow, and not a straight red. It would have been straight if he had attempted to play the ball and make contact like that.

So happy to see Kessler and Turner in the starting lineup again!
what a game
Marsman is an realy good goalkeeper
He struggled with goal kicks and distribution tho.
Marsman is, at best, an OK MLS keeper. He can have some good games and he can have some absolute horror shows.
