Cars are taxed based on engine size too. Since Brezza has a petrol engine larger than 1.2 litres it doesn't get any tax benefit. Same is the case with Thar. It has a diesel engine larger than 1.5 litres and despite being less than 4 metres in length doesn't qualify for a small car tax bracket. Please get your information corrected.
Brezza is 4m in length while creta is 4.3m (300mm length creates significant difference). Also ex showroom price of creta is way more than that of brezza.
But if you see resale value then fortuner and Scorpio gives better value than any small car ..that is why every politician have Scorpio and fortuner so that they couldn’t get much loss of black money…

Well taxes also depend on size of engine …Taxes are more in a car with more than 1.2 L engine for petrol cars and 1.5 L for Diesel cars…Hence Brezza with 1.5L petrol engine can’t save much on taxes….It would be more effective if you would have cited Turbo petrol Nexon or venue as your example:)….Pls do correct me if I’m wrong

Cars are taxed based on engine size too. Since Brezza has a petrol engine larger than 1.2 litres it doesn't get any tax benefit. Same is the case with Thar. It has a diesel engine larger than 1.5 litres and despite being less than 4 metres in length doesn't qualify for a small car tax bracket. Please get your information corrected.
Brezza is 4m in length while creta is 4.3m (300mm length creates significant difference). Also ex showroom price of creta is way more than that of brezza.

But if you see resale value then fortuner and Scorpio gives better value than any small car ..that is why every politician have Scorpio and fortuner so that they couldn’t get much loss of black money…
Car is bought for enjoying driving & travelling and classified accordingly; not calculated on just length. Itna dimaag lagana hai to belgaadi lo, koi tax nahin lagta.

This is exactly why I bought the Urban Cruiser just when it was about to be discontinued and didn’t wait for next model because size would have been marginally high but taxation would be much higher!!
