Yea, the 3S-GE Beams is basically the equivalent of doing a K20 swap into a CRX or Civic coupe. It makes a little over 200hp at the crank and a nice amount of torque. A good swap if you really want your Corolla to be competitive, especially the 86 being how light it is.
Hey again, lol
I love how he simplified his explanation of the cars and still keeps it interesting.
Please do make a review about the 4-door AE111 & AE101. Thank you!

Made my day! As an AE111 owner from Ireland this sparks joy in my heart.
Hello I am from Ireland my one was stolen loved it it was white and had lovely advan rims on her and she was the proper blacktop 20v pity the locks were rubbish and i hadn't fitted an aftermarket lock on her
Your channel is so under-rated. Love from Iraq 🇮🇶 ❤️
This video came out 2 days after I bought my AE111. Such a fantastic car to drive.
Wish for the next video doing the interview with Tsuchiya-San himself
Congrats on the first sponsored vidéo! Big mile stone there!
I love the AE111! What am awesome car.
Would love to see the 4 door ae111 GT
Loved the end ... Ken your expression to the owner of the AE86 was so heart warming ..... there is something special about the cars , all in all , all older car just felt so much more natural .... gee it was a good 49 minutes ( view 57,568 comment 509 )
Yes! Ae86 content.... Love it and please do more. Well done guys.
Ae86 is irrelevant ae111 is the forgotten one that needs to remembered as it was better
@@pipeqez911 Explain to me why the ae111 is the better car?
@@sussexwindowtinting613 it is lighter more powerful better looking ect ect
But it is fwd whereas the ae86 Is rwd
Congratulations my friend. This video is the best you've ever done. Greetings from Turkey. :)
Bunta: *_"What? My 86 just turned into a 111?"_*
That is one of my favorite Corollas besides the TE71, AE86, AE92, AE95 4WD, and AE101
What in the holy hell*
@@EliteFreeman How about the '05-'06 Corolla XRS? It came with the 2ZZ-GE. Or the AE82 Corolla GT-S?
it just old.... some like them since you can rev very high.. whch you can just get it from vtec... my 10 years old civic still had more power than that thing..
Ae101 da best
It's rare seeing the AE101 getting love. I absolutely love my mom's AE101 Corolla
This channel is criminally underrated
Love the videos. I can't wait for the day I see a video on the MR-S and hopefully a follow up to the techno pro spirit video that tougetime did.
I would listen to him speak for hours. Captain has a soothing voice. Need to do a story time.
I remember driving this in GT5, and woah it sounds much better irl
I might have one of the first AE111s in The States. I have completely fallen in love with this car. I live in a rural area and cutting those winding mountain roads in the thing is just incredible.
On this channel 45min video feels too short its so interesting
glad you covered this car, its not usually talked about since the ae86 overshadows it constantly
Damn! 1:58
Japonic: Oh my God!
Meeennnn...
This part was awesome 😂
This video... The jaw opening views, cicadas' making their iconic call, amazing cars casually cruising by is just like a dream. I want to visit one day.
is there any chance you can get your hands on an 8th-gen galant vr-4 one of these days? (now onto the video)
That would be good viewing
Ah yesss.. or maybe the legnum version
Would definitely be cool to see a galant vr4 or mirage review, in the DSM community in the USA turbo mirages and galant vr4's are pretty uncommon but very cool cars.
i owned the sedan version of the ae111 as my very first car. 4age 20v was so awesome.
wtf I didnt notice this was uploaded like 1 second ago
I truly appreciate that you reviewed these legends, especially because I can understand everything you are saying.
And a boosted 20v building 600+ hp in the levin it’s like a 4 cylinder 2jz
This channel is so underrated.
Love the videos, very informative. This car is definitely a hidden gem. 💎
I currently have an AE101 Levin, the 4age 20v is amazing!
i love levin
one of the best car jdm channels if NOT THE BEST
"INERTIA DRIFT?!?!"
all my intial D fans.
2:32 man that shot is beautiful for the panda and L11 with the bright white clouds
4:31 Camera Man Happy! Whoops my bad 2:29 is were camera man in In a Tofu state of mind. Another edit
It's so nice to hear him pronounce it properly
That was awsome! Btw would really like to see a Mitsubishi GTO Review!
I remember seeing a TRD 280kph cluster for this and a video on UA-cam of it actually making it pass 250kph. Amazing machine. Gotta love those rimless doors.
The owner of the Levin is kinda cute *blush
Don't tell me that...
you want his Initial D?!

Mate...
That joke got me groaning.
James Mijares groaning in cliché
bruh
@29:37 that jam nut is loose! Great backdrop, great content, great knowledge, great camera work, great sounds! As a Toyota fan, thank for this video!!!
Dude, I had no idea this existed, I just thought that after the 86, it just kinda ended.
Edit: you can barely find these things dude wth, what should I search?
Edit 2: I found one, in very clean state, for 8000 euros
Where?
Lots here in New zealand
They where never built lhd so I rare in Europe. There's quite a few in Ireland. But otherwise yeah they are pretty common in nz and Australia. There are a lot of the nana spec ones anyway. I had one for my first car, equiped with a 5afe.
Ireland I bet
I still have my 1997 Corolla Levin that I purchased in 2004 and I'm going to do a 2jz swap, rear wheel conversion, sequential transmission to handle that big power with a wide body kit.
I'll upload videos to my other channel when it's complete.
Great to see that this massively underrated, legitimately the best handling front wheel drive car ever made, finally getting some attention.
edit: The Toyota Corolla AE111 Sedan with the 4A-GE Black Top, that has the SS suspension is very highly known where I'm from. A lot of them are high performance NA cars running low 12's and high 11's on the 1/4 mile track. I'd love to see a review. The Sprinter GT 4-door sedan is also very popular. Great cars if you set them up properly.
These are still quite cheap (in the UK at least)
Only 5-7k for nice examples
Yeah, I found one for 8k, but I don’t know what the hell to search
Way more for sale in Ireland but there's less and less as there been robbed of the engine for the as86
The AE111 is loved in my country. The engine is regularly tuned to get speeds of around 270/280km/h. I always loved the BZ-R.
