That's hopefully what they've fixed with the new one - I didn't experience it with my original model either vertical or horizontal but heard people did. The blade-linking ring should totally stop that happening.
I just bought that one on Amazon UK for 10 pounds because my new Liquid Freezer III 420 don't fit in my case with last fan attached. Hope they gonna do a-rgb version soon.
i have jonsbo z20 chassis. thinking of buying these for 2 intake at bottom because im waiting gtx 50series and i have no idea how fat they gon be. basically im just preparing worse case scenario as im building the unit soon without gpu. any thoughts?
Sorry forgot to mention that here but did in the group test! It comes with M3 screws which are the thicker ones used for PSUs and case panels. You’ll need to get your own slim screws if the radiator uses the thinner 6-32 screws. That’s one reason why the SilverStone air skimmer came top overall as it included both thread sizes in the box.
It does - I think I forgot to mention in this video as it was mainly focussing on the performance of the V2 - not a complete re-review as the accessories are the same. It comes with 6-32 short screws and standard fan screws.

Other slim fans such as the Silverstone air slimmer include both. The arctic does not include M3 so they can’t attach to some radiators such as Alphacool.
"Airflow to noise quality ratio"... Higher is better... Really dude? So if you had a fan with a full-speed subjective sound-quality score of 2 out of 10 (very noisy) and a mediocre airflow, this ratio would be higher. Higher is not actually better. It is not a good way to represent your data. The first number in the ratio is the numerator; the second number is the denominator. Unless the airflow is amazing I don't I don't see how your Silverstone Air Slimmer 140 ARGB produced a score of "16.11". My guess is that it's just noisier. Again, it's not a great way to represent your data or express what you are trying to express.
My original Arctic P14 slim fan lasted 15 minutes before one of the blades began scrapping the frame.

That ring around the outside of the rotor was *absolutely* necessary - the blades on the old one flexed _way_ too much.

Both V1 and V2 are fluid dynamic bearing
So what is the best case fan?
Can please tell us if the fans have radiator screws included. It's hard to source screws for slim fans for those outside US😅

There are no short radiator screws in the second revision, seriously?

No doesn’t look like it. The 120mm slim product page still shows the standard fan.
