Glad that your case analysis series is back! This is what sets your channel apart from others. You're one of the most informative channels, by the way, when it comes to Canadian immig for international students 🎉🎉🎉
Hello! I've been lurking in your youtube videos for abut two years now and it has been very helpful! My student visa just got approved for Calgary, AB yesterday and I couldn't have done it without all of the info you've shared here. Thanks Rachel!
Hey my study permit was refused due to these factors that the visa officer is not convinced that I will come back after my studies That my assets and financial situation are insufficient yet I paid tuition of 14k Finally that I have not provided enough documentation to support my income and assets what should I do should I reapply ?
Actually 2 children with Austism. It appears that she is likely to return to Qatar after her studies. Her family earns more money in Qatar than in Canada.
@@TienTran-oh8dn Probably Canada does not want to take any chances. My wife a developmental pediatrician seen enough immigrants with autistic children misuse the system to get entry into the country. Even the dumbest country learn from bad experiences. This is a back door immigration ploy.
@@lakeofbays1622 I get what you are saying. Your statement is related to a general observation and experience from your wife's point of view. However, I don't think that is the situation in this case. The family has been doing well in Qatar. They have adequate access or better access to health services than they would have in Canada. It would make more sense for them to stay or return to Qatar after their studies. I think the judge looked at the specific facts of this case and decided in Nadine's favour for that reason.
@@lakeofbays1622 I did look at it from the visa officer's point of view. The officer in this case did not follow their instructions when refusing this application. It was judicially reviewed and a federal court judge over turned the visa officer's decision based on that reason. Most likely, this case would have been redetermined by another visa officer.
Hi rrdancel I wish to know about something that whether can I buy an iphone with monthly pay in Winnipeg as a international student as soon as I arrive to Canada?
It really depends on where there are more opportunities for her and her family. In Qatar, her husband is earning a high paying job. In Canada, there is no certainty that her husband would obtain a high paying job. So, it would be financially better for her and her family to stay in Qatar.
Hi Rachel! My sister is coming to Canada for this fall semester, but i really need to know what is the current salary for students per hour in Vancouver?
If you want to check the minimum wage across Canada as of 2024, see the link below👇 www.retailcouncil.org/resources/quick-facts/minimum-wage-by-province/ you would be delighted to know, though that they are increasing the part-time work hours for students starting September from 20 hours to 24 hours per week! I’ve also linked the news on that below 👇 www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/news/2024/04/canada-to-introduce-new-rules-around-off-campus-work-hours-for-international-students.html Hope that helps! 🥰

6 is a risky band score if your overall application isn't strong enough. colleges will prioritize other students with higher band scores and better applications than you. try to opt for an overall score of 7 if you want better opportunities.
I don't think this case was appealed or the decision was overturned by the Federal Court of Appeal. This case was applying current common law principles that are still in use today. So, I am not sure how it is outdated.

Apply for PR if you have 448 k CAD, why will you still need a study permit?
