EnerSys® Hays, Kansas Plant

The history of our EnerSys® Hays plant traces back to our first VRLA battery produced in 1989 on a single production line with a handful of Associates. Since then, Hays has steadily grown to a 375,000 square foot facility with 4 assembly lines, a distribution center and a fully equipped product test center. Under the PowerSafe® and DataSafe® brands, EnerSys Hays produces five varieties of stationary flooded lead acid cells for backup power in UPS, switchgear and telecom applications.
Our flagship product line is used as the primary backup power solution in Nuclear electrical generation. These premier products set the industry standard in quality, reliability and value because exceptional design features are part of their fundamental design.
