  • Matt Kwan showing the most popular crab ride back take (from www.grappleart...) - this from the modern, 'new school' method of jiu-jitsu which focusses on using innovative and unexpected techniques to take the back and submit your opponent! The leg drag (and the roll to the back) is used extensively by top BJJ competitors like Rafa Mendes and Gianni Grippo.

Wow, this provides a solution to a major barrier I was hitting with more experienced belts

Yeah, you can definitely see Rob's rather unique humour coming through in his students!

As a white belt, i only know how to crab ride from reverse de la riva and that was the first way I learned it. This helps so much also, thanks for the video!🦀

As a white belt who probably wont try this for a couple years, I appreciate the detail that went into this video lol.

u should be trying to do these moves (or at least drill them) each time u r on the mat, if that’s what u want ur game to be. For example, watch Levi Jones, he has drilled Berimbolos since white belt and by the time he was a blue belt it was very solid

While I understand what you are saying, I still need to drill the basic fundamentals lol. But yeah, I've been working on my berimbolos and hand landed a couple on blue belts and once on a purple but lets be real, he was probably just letting me play my game.

@@bryanjordan8876 Roger Gracie doesn’t need any of this. He makes the fundamental leg drag work every time. You have the right attitude.
