Hi Jan. Very informative videos. I’m looking at using device mode with a single USBC cable at the table through a dock. USB and hdmi would be extended over usb/hdmi extender. But my screen on the wall is a touch screen, can I use usb from the X series to the screen to give me touch capabilities over my laptop presentation? Thanks
Hi thats a great question. You are correct you can use today Teams, Zoom, RingCentral, DeviceMode (BYOD) etc. around 8 Apps to choose but not all at the same time you need to configure which one to use in the room. Now you can switch without factory reset or loading other software via local admin portal, Poly Lens or even via APIs like a Crestron panel... the G7500 has multiple USB inputs for camera's, HDMI ingest and dual screen output.. hope that helps.. ☕🛠
@@janzoetemelk Thank you for the quick response. One more question. If I connect the G7500 to a large touch screen tv in the front of the room then share my screen through the Polycom system will I be able to control windows with the touch screen? Or is the touch functionality exclusive to the polycom hub? I hope that makes sense. Thank you!
Good question coming soon its in Microsoft TAP right now... stay tuned on updates.. 3.5 is out now expect the next one with lot of great new stuff.. watch out for new video.. ☕📽
Great question the G7500 and X series has IP and serial (only G7500) for APIs check out integrator API guide on support.polycom.com under documentation bit.ly/2UoAqdT
Correct similar as Group Series lot of those features are transfered to G7500 in PolyOS mode... in case you use Apps like Teams, Zoom etc these features will depend on the app provider...
@@ScottSchramm hi you are correct in case the Zoom App is running it has the control so any integration will be done via Zoom Admin Center similar to Teams with Teams Admin Center.. etc
Thanks for your comments. The Break Out Room feature is supported on X30, X50 and G7500 as Zoom Room. The meeting host can assign break out room(s) and in the room with a X30 X50 or G7500 you can join that breakout room from TC8 Touch Panel or touch screen with a specific break out room button. I have a new video in the planning in the Zoom Room mode as there a quit some new features... does that help?
@@janzoetemelk thanks. If the host is the one having zoom rooms running on X50 , can he create break out room and assign people using TC8 as zoom controller ?

Thats a great question.. I have seen this working in Teams App using Casting but need to test with latest release...
Awesome video! So just to confirm with the G7500 I can use any app I want (Teams, Zoom or Google meets) plus have multiple screens and cameras?

Wait, the G7500 has Teams natively now? I don't see it as a provider on the device. How do I obtain it?

Is it possible to recall camera-presets via External crestron system (network connection or rs232) in device mode??

If the system is on a call, can the remote monitoring show a snapshot of the far end like the way Group Series could?

@@janzoetemelk So if the system is in Zoom mode, the web UI won't have these features?
