Hey everyone, if you notice a lot of weird cuts and missing episodes/moments, it’s because the video was hit with multiple copyright claims and had to edit it out
I have two theories also one of my theories is that it was somehow zordon that helped the magna defender see his son again and when Andrews broke zordons tube the reason they're still evil in the power rangers universe even after that because sword on didn't have all his energy in his tube when it was broken by Andrews I think that when the tube was broken do I expect you had already taken some of his zordons energy so even though the Z-Wave went across the entire power rangers universe and reached every inch that wasn't enough energy in the two to get rid of all the evil in the universe because it was already drained by dark spektor well most of the energy was already drained by dark specter

I always got the impression that Damon and Alpha knew the Megaship was functional but were just trying to get rid of Kai because they didn't yet know his intentions.
It's wild looking back at The Power of Pink and seeing all the setup for making Cassie the new Lost Galaxy Pink Ranger; her standing atop the Galactabeast, her Space morpher getting stabbed, and then of course the awkwardness of the final scene having the Space team all morphed after they had to reshoot it to have Cassie leave too. But Karone taking the spot was perfect, I can't imagine it going differently now.
the theory behind the Z-wave is that it would wipe all KNOWN evil from the galaxy, at that time the only known evil was all the power rangers villains who were apart of the united alliance of evil, the top dogs basically and villains who came after the Z-wave were not as known that's why they weren't effected, this is kind of backed up by the 10th anniversary episode Forever Red with the return of the machine empire generals.
The magna defender is so badass, definitely one of my favorite rangers ever. Also I think he’s the only ranger-like character to die during the series and stay dead, so that’s also interesting
Lost galaxy is one of my favorite sci fi shows because it did so much more outside of the power rangers like doing so many other space adventurers where the characters didn’t even morph. Not to mention it is one of the darkest seasons with the villains getting more violent up until the finale, and some rangers not surviving their heroics, making this season feel much more mature. Great video and I hope you can make the next one on Lightspeed Rescue my all time favorite season of power rangers!!!!!
@@ZeonRemnants yup, they are the actual uniforms, my guess is the lot with them was available to the crew due to filming location or something, not too sure
Actually, those “basic” Megazords were probably SUPPOSED to look like they were from the ‘80s. A lot of stuff in Gingaman was intentionally designed to look retro. The suits are the same colors as the original series, Goranger (right down to yellow being a dude). The heroes were all basically Maya; people from another world, which was not uncommon in the Showa and early Heisei shows (Zyuranger and Flashman). Even that name, Gingaman, is a throwback. A lot of team names in the ‘80s and early ‘90s ended in “man” rather than “ranger” (Bioman, Jetman, Fiveman, Liveman, Changeman, etc.). As for the mecha, the five-piece combining robot really didn’t become a thing until the late 80s. The oldest seasons with a robot just had that: **a** robot, which often didn’t even transform. Two and three piece bots (often with some sort of carrier or carrier mode, sound familiar?) acted as a transition to five, and everything in those days was very boxy. Sometimes the design of the robot didn’t even have much to do with the show’s theme if any at all.
They really wanted to finish the century doing a homage to how it all started. The very next year, GoGoV would refuse to have a sixth ranger just because, and even added an auxiliary mecha with "Boy" in the name, which was a thing in the 80s too. Traditional scientist/military commander, team of siblings. There was a lot of "classic" going on. I think in the end it was good that they took it all out of their systems, because Timeranger and Gaoranger would end up bringing Sentai to a new level of story telling, embracing CG, and taking risks.

Don’t hold that against Gingaman that’s all I ask. Too many people do who haven’t seen the series and then realize Gingaman is low key one of the best underdog Sentai with an incredible core team and rock solid villains.
This is not true. Gingaman was one of the lowest rated Sentai series for a reason. It was one of the rare occurrences that Power Rangers season was the "better" one. It is argued in the sentai streets that if it wasn't for Goseiger, Gingaman would still be close to the "bottom".
@@BmoreAkuma this is largely a myth. Most sentai fans did not “prefer” the American diverse cast of Lost Galaxy over Gingaman. I also never said it was popular at the time just that in retrospect it had a great cast and excellent character progression for both heroes and villains

Yep that was due to all the gingaman monster general suits still being used for Gingaman’s team up with Megaranger which took place after the show. It’s why a lot of the gingaman villains show up later
As a kid i never got to experience these early seasons till Dino thunder and later seasons after samurai. now as an adult i do not have much time to delve so these videos are like a boon for me. Cannot wait to refresh my Dino thunder, Ninja Storm and Mystic Force memories with you.
This series was the first one i watched from start to finish, i always related to Leo because i always held my older bother on a pedestal even trying to mirror him after his passing. This series will always hold a special place in my heart. Great video and I'm looking forward to your upcoming videos 🙂
I'm surprised that you didn't mention that Green courage was also the first episode where Damon was outside of the suit and Amy Miller, Is the address behind Trecina, was interacting with her eventual real life husband.
This season really said "Leo is hot and now that's your problem, children" - the amount of sweaty shirtless scenes they gave him really warped me during my formative years lol
Gingaman wasn't that far off from a space team. All the Seiju are alien creatures, but charged with protecting Earth. The villains are a space pirate crew that wants to destroy Earth to use it as a power resource. What is unique about Gingaman is that the Rangers themselves are natives of a hidden village that has lived alongside this knowledge for millenia; and somehow that gets more focus than all the space stuff. For anyone that plays D&D out there, Gingaman is like a group of Circle of the Stars Druids. Speaking of which, Gingaman also focus heavily on just the Red (for all intents and purposes pretty much the same character as Leo minus Fire Magic) and Green (completely different character, mature, husband, vice-leader, excelent swordsman), but Lost Galaxy actually does a better job with giving more characterization to Blue, Yellow and Pink (Yes, actually. In Gingaman they're pretty much "beefcake simp", "the kid" and "the girl"). Lost Galaxy did a lot of original footage, like In Space. It's actually pretty good on that for what it is. My Lost Galaxy theory is just that. "The Lost Galaxy" wasn't reached by the Z Wave. That's one of the reasons why it is lost. Which means the universe sweep is through, but there were places shielded from it. That doesn't matter for long because the franchise soft reboots next season and will only ignore the soft reboots when necessary. The lost brother, doppelganger actress, blue ranger falling in love, Magna Defender's introduction and backstory and conclusion, Trakeena betraying Treacheron, the stolen beauty, Loyax, the a-hole brother, analyzed powers, and a couple other things, are all plots lifted right out of Gingaman. Making this season the one that is closest to source material so far, a trend that will only ramp up from here. But there's some fun twists. Though Trakeena acts like one of the villains in gingaman, most of her story is brand new, and changes around her to accomodate includes the first monster General to die in Gingaman to be repurposed as Villamax. Of course what happened to Valerie was a shame, it is also one of the most iconic Power Rangers' original material. While I'll admit I didn't know the whole thing about Cassie, Karone was already supposed to have been an extra all-new ranger the previous season, so it is actually really interesting how it played out. This show is accidentally the most "feminist" season of this show if you can even say that, and by complete accident.
I was skeptical of Lost Galaxy as a kid when it first came out. I was too hooked to the Zordon Era continuity. But rewatching it a few times on coming years made me realize how fun this season really was. Leo's arc was compelling and cool to watch and Trakeena was an interey villain. A sick crossover and a surprise return for Karone (I also thought Kendrix was really cute as a kid). I can't wait to see you cover the legend of Carter motherfluffing Grayson.
Glad you made this. Lost Galaxy was the series where I got too old for power rangers (again) and checked out. I missed the holdovers from In Space but wasn't patient enough for them to return. I checked out early, somewhere near the start of the Magna Defender arc.
NSFW Fun Fact: The actress that played the yellow galaxy ranger is one of the rare few you see naked in a movie. 2nd being Lili from Jungle Fury in the movie Cabin in The Woods.
Connor you are one definite TRUE Ranger fan, I love how these videos are made and keep up the great work. ❤❤❤❤❤ Take your time working on the Lightspeed rescue video. It'll be worth the wait 😊
Seeing you go through these is amazing and is super useful if I want to rewatch a season. I've seen them all and love these videos. Power rangers is huge for me so I appreciate all the hard work you put into these. Also Game Grumps did a Power Rangers game around the time you did this so its Morphin Time I guess.
I absolutely love that we got this video so soon, I'm literally giddy about it, but I really hope it didn't come at the expense of your mental health, man. These videos clearly take a huge amount of work, and you do such a great job with them, I don't think anyone would mind waiting a little longer if it's better for you. But, I mean, as it's here... WHEEEEEEEE 😁
“With Leo looking disappointed, since he wasn’t chosen.” THIS is why I love Lost Galaxy, and why Leo is my favorite Red Ranger. He wasn’t chosen to be a Ranger, he was in the right place, at the right time. He isn’t a veteran Ranger who has led teams before, nor is he a mysterious stranger with an equally mysterious past. He was just lucky enough to have the power passed on to him by the actual chosen Ranger, and to be holding the saber when it was time to morph. I fully believe that it was the fact he wasn’t chosen that drove him to train so he could prove himself, especially after Kendrix died. Now, if only his battlizer didn’t suck…
Love your power rangers retrospective series! They combined 2 of my favorite things here in Lost Galaxy, animal megazords & space! The fact this is the season where they killed off a ranger is also brutal for kid me. And great on background music choice! Big fan of octopath also here 😉
Lost Galaxy was one of those seasons i started to appreciate more as i got older. Even with the flaws of the final arc, there's so many great elements about it. By this time we've definitely started a very long streak of great seasons of PR, and Lightspeed is in my top 3. I hope you enjoy that watchthrough
Fun fact: to my knowledge, Karone is the only ranger who doesn’t wear her color scheme outside of ranger form. Which I take it as symbolic of her sort of temp ranger status. Kendrix comes back for the light speed cross over, but Karone returns for the Megaforce team up, and I believe it’s theorized that they share the power.
"A sixth Ranger that's been there since the beginning. I don't think that's ever been done before or since." Well, arguably Jason as the Gold Ranger was there in episode 1... just of a different season 😅 As for since, Ninja Storm certainly does, then SPD and Mystic Force arguably do. Kruger is certainly the sixth Ranger to join the SPD team, but the Omega Ranger is more often counted as sixth with Kruger considered extra... semantics, imo. In Mystic Force, Udonna is the first Ranger we see, and she loses her ability to morph but gets it back later. Again, semantics over Daggeron being the sixth on their team, but certainly additional Rangers who joined the team later but were around from the beginning.
I'm not even that into power rangers but i find your reviews engaging and obviously coming from a place of love and respect for this stories that I really enjoy and wanto to continue watching!
Bro, I've watched this when I was a I kid and I don't remember the story slapping so hard in the emotions. Love these latest seasons having a more story focused approach instead of a monster of the week vibe.
How amazing is Lost Galaxy? So amazing that it took over two decades for the larger fandom to fully appreciate how significant it was. This series was leagues above In Space, which was already a top notch effort that accidentally revitalized a stagnant franchise. When the bad taste of the post-Zordon era wasn’t so fresh anymore, fans viewed PRLG for what it was - the Deep Space Nine of Power Rangers. We would be so lucky to have a show as dedicated to organic continuity as this entry was. Yes, Hasbro tries, but…Lost Galaxy is the pioneer and the pinnacle. True artistry that can only be likened to improv jazz.
I've been a Power Rangers fan since the very 1st day. I was there with my cereal on Saturday morning August 28th 1993 and motorcycles in Power Rangers are always infuriating. They can teleport and run super fast. At least the Turbo Rangers could. Assuming the other teams are comparable. Motorcycles though. Really?!
I just say the healing tears are because Andros and karone were the closest to zordon when he was destroyed and they absorbed some power which altered their DNA.
I just finished watching Lost Galaxy yesterday after being introduced to it via a rerun on the CW over a decade ago. Coming from an outsider looking in, I didn't really feel much for Karonne or the In Space crossover, but man, watching Kendrix die was such a tug at the heart-string, especially with the filler episode involving that doppelganger actress being about never giving up going in the back of my mind as I watched her sacrifice her life to save everyone else. Damon was also one of my favorites due to his simplistic good boy nature, being a mechanic who just loves what he do, while also having the willpower to help those in need. Lost Galaxy is definitely one of my favorite series so far, even if the second to final arc did fall kinda flat.
I got to say out of all the Power Ranger Megazords and Zords the battlefleet Megazord from Operation Overdrive in the lost galactabeasts are my favorite ones.❤
My Ranger history is a bit fuzzy, but I'm pretty sure that the Space Rangers and Lost Galaxy Rangers were the first actual team up of current and past season teams, which then started a time honored tradition, until Mystic Force and once more in Operation Overdrive and then that was it for team ups.
Actually. The First Real Team Up was with Alien Rangers and the Zeo Rangers. But the problem with that Episode was that they were Limited to Sentai Footage that Didn’t convey all the Story that Power Rangers wanted to tell. So as a Team Up episode. It’s underwhelming. While Lost Galaxy and In Space, really upped the Ante!
you knew the producers loved that moment so much when they just decided to include it in the intro for the latter episodes of the seasons as part of Leo's credit.
Kendrix Morgan aka first pink ranger is played by Valerie Vernon until she sacrificed herself later on and was succeeded by ex psycho pink astronema Karone now second pink ranger played by Melody Perkins.
Loving this series man. PR fan 93 and it’s always great to hear from fans about their own experiences! I had the entire roster of lost galaxy zords, my only full set!
In Saban's defense, they only offered Patty guest pay (and non-starring credit) because they wanted to keep Valerie in the main credits and as such, get main star pay, to help with her treatment. I can't remember who, but either Patty or Valerie told us that. Patty understood, from what we know, but she knew what she was worth. This is why Valerie is still credited throughout the entire series as the Pink Ranger, and Melody is only credited as a side character.
Good job Keep the Power Rangers videos coming they made me subscribe I was always a fan of your channel but when you made the first PR video that's when I gave you the sub
Rewatching Lost Galaxy recently I realized I never questioned why Magna Defender and his son always wore their armor, now I figure they’re some kind of Mandolorian type race which is really cool.
The two-part premiere was interesting with how the first part had no Ranger action at all and kids had to wait until the next week to see our new heroes in action (IIRC, they aired the premiere across two Saturdays).
Conner: "A Sixth Ranger who was there from Episode 1. I don't think that's ever been done before or since!" Cam: "What are we, invisible?" Doggy Kruger: "I know Cam, he just doesn't appreciate our genius!"
Never forget that the Star Trooper universe and the lost galaxy are of the same universe. Both have Space troopers fighting on some rock quarry world. Both of the main antagonists is literally a giant bug worm creature. Even the troopers share the same uniform.
The quasar sabers are my favorite ranger weapons. I’m a huge fan of Arthurian legend so I love the idea of the swords in the stone and the rangers being the chosen to pull them
32:01 ... or since? Ninja Storm would apply to that, and in a less litteral (sixth) sense, SPD, Jungle Fury, Beast Morphers, Dino Charge... All with additional Rangers from characters that were there from the beginning of the season.
4:44 Just because its a museum, doesn't mean it doesn't need repairs from time to time. Those repairs need mechanics to do it. For example, there's a scaled-down version of a US Military submarine that serves as a museum piece for the Carnegie Science Center in the monoghela (I think) river in Pittsburgh, PA. I used to go to tour it when I was a kid, despite it being a museum, it does still need repairs from time to time and those repairs need specialized mechaincs.

I'm surprised that you didn't mention that Green courage was also the first episode where Damon was outside of the suit and Amy Miller, Is the address behind Trecina, was interacting with her eventual real life husband.
Yessss, so glad you decided to do seasons after the Zordon era
Yes I hope he reviews Lightspeed rescue next!
As a Magna main in Battle for the Grid it made me so happy to see you splice in some footage where appropriate here!
Dude we need you and Andre the Black Nerd to team up for these. You both are awesome
Leo ripping off his shirt is the reason I hit puberty
So... the green ranger was Zoro? LOL
Yes! So glad you have uploaded. Get next level nostalgia from your videos
I loved that you used kingdom hearts music for traqina saying goodbye to Scorpius as he is dying. Great choice 👍🏻
Devont was like "how is this guy kicking my ass"the he thought "wait i have a gun" *shoots the guardian down*
Hey samurai meet my energy pistol
Is it just me or are there cuts from some of the episode recaps?
So glad you're continuing this. Looking forward to your thoughts on the franchise going forward.
NSFW Fun Fact:
The actress that played the yellow galaxy ranger is one of the rare few you see naked in a movie.
Jason Narvy ended up as a college professor, think he made the right call
The psycho Ranger episodes being gone sucks but I understand, at least you posted the video
The magna defender was my favorite as kid. Me and my little brother would fight over who gets to be him lol
“With Leo looking disappointed, since he wasn’t chosen.”
THIS is why I love Lost Galaxy, and why Leo is my favorite Red Ranger.
"We haven't talked about the Lost Galaxy theme song!"
And we never will
Love your power rangers retrospective series!
Looking forward your take on Lightspeed rescue tbh it feels like I'm going back to my childhood watching Power rangers on TV again
Why is everyone so hot in this season wtf
The fact Magna Defender's son looks like him implies that it's not armor he's wearing.
So Mike is wearing his skin when he morphs.
"A sixth Ranger that's been there since the beginning. I don't think that's ever been done before or since."
Well, arguably Jason as the Gold Ranger was there in episode 1... just of a different season 😅
As for since, Ninja Storm certainly does, then SPD and Mystic Force arguably do.
Wow….i completely forgot about Mystic Force….that, and Lightspeed Rescue were, for me,my most early post-Zordon-era,forgettable Power Rangers seasons 😅😅
Was Cam not there from the beginning in ninja Storm? 32:02
I liked
I watched all 5 power rangers videos in like half a week casually. Can't wait for the next one they are all really well made!
I'm not even that into power rangers but i find your reviews engaging and obviously coming from a place of love and respect for this stories that I really enjoy and wanto to continue watching!
Bro, I've watched this when I was a I kid and I don't remember the story slapping so hard in the emotions. Love these latest seasons having a more story focused approach instead of a monster of the week vibe.
this is probs my favorite season from the saban era , the intro song is too badass
Lost galaxy is definitely a top 10 power rangers season. I love it. The ending is truly amazing
I've been binging your Power Rangers videos and I can't wait to see more
Fun fact: Furio is the monster form of Dr Hinler from MegaRanger
I remember crying while watching the Power of Pink back in the day. Kendrix was my favorite out of the team and still is to this day 🩷
“First 6th ranger to be there since day one. I don’t think it’s been done since” Cam from ninja storm would like a word
He said first not only.
@@vitormanuel9889 “I don’t think it’s been done since” is the second half of that sentence
Uhhh who else figured out the green ranger is married to Trekena in real life wow my man put the game on her I would do same
I've been a Power Rangers fan since the very 1st day. I was there with my cereal on Saturday morning August 28th 1993 and motorcycles in Power Rangers are always infuriating. They can teleport and run super fast. At least the Turbo Rangers could. Assuming the other teams are comparable. Motorcycles though. Really?!
Pleaseee don't stop doing these videos they're soo good
As a kid I had a crush on the first Pink Ranger. It was the glasses.
I just say the healing tears are because Andros and karone were the closest to zordon when he was destroyed and they absorbed some power which altered their DNA.
41:06 that spark cannon flipping sequence was pretty cool.
Oh my god I just clicked on this video and I had no idea it was Waffle, I used to watch your videos as a kid and I'm happy your still going!
The algorithm truly blessed me this Saturday
Lost Galaxy is definitely one of my favorite series so far, even if the second to final arc did fall kinda flat.
my favorite season!..try so many times to find a lost galaxy transmorpher
I got to say out of all the Power Ranger Megazords and Zords the battlefleet Megazord from Operation Overdrive in the lost galactabeasts are my favorite ones.❤
I love the Opetation Overdrive Megazords(Battlefleet being my favorite), might my favorite of the bunch after Dino Fury ones.
Leo got to be the most buffed power ranger like when he ripped his red shirt and was glistening AURA
you knew the producers loved that moment so much when they just decided to include it in the intro for the latter episodes of the seasons as part of Leo's credit.
Kendrix Morgan aka first pink ranger is played by Valerie Vernon until she sacrificed herself later on and was succeeded by ex psycho pink astronema Karone now second pink ranger played by Melody Perkins.
51:20 just wait until Forever Red from Wild Force
45:02 🥲
"We've reached something special"
*skips all of it* ... 😔
Loving this series man. PR fan 93 and it’s always great to hear from fans about their own experiences! I had the entire roster of lost galaxy zords, my only full set!
One of my favorites, can't wait to watch the whole thing tonight. You knock it outta' the park with these every time!
Good job Keep the Power Rangers videos coming they made me subscribe I was always a fan of your channel but when you made the first PR video that's when I gave you the sub
it was up until now i realized how many de-morphing scenes there are in this season
Man I love this series a lot I'll wait a month for a new episode of this series I gotta sub
Rewatching Lost Galaxy recently I realized I never questioned why Magna Defender and his son always wore their armor, now I figure they’re some kind of Mandolorian type race which is really cool.
Once again BEGGING if we can PLEASE get a Google Drive link to download the full version of this video. Such a dark spot in your incredible series.
Love your content man, been waiting for you to continue this series lol
I’ll be back to edit this once I’m finish watching your masterpiece
I hope you all the rest of the power rangers seasons to present. I love your videos
The two-part premiere was interesting with how the first part had no Ranger action at all and kids had to wait until the next week to see our new heroes in action (IIRC, they aired the premiere across two Saturdays).
Conner: "A Sixth Ranger who was there from Episode 1. I don't think that's ever been done before or since!"
Cam: "What are we, invisible?"
Doggy Kruger: "I know Cam, he just doesn't appreciate our genius!"
