That’s the grunge look I love vintage grunge when you just don’t do it by measurement when you just go on a wing, I love your channel. I’m new here accepted and lecture video and I will be back because of your style.
I can watch your videos over and over. When YT chooses uninspiring and lots of times just plain annoying stuff for me, I can always come back here to your calmness and inspiration. Thank you.
I have to agree with you when it comes to flipping thru different channels. I see something someone does and get inspired, then start flipping thru others. So many ideas and trying to remember it all😂 I have a go to channel that I just love.. She has so many great ideas and tutorials too. It’s called Sunset Crafts. Hope you watch a couple, and tell her I sent you over. She’s a sweetie.
At last I have found someone who does some unconventional stuff! I was getting kinda bored of the same old belly bands, pockets, tags and etc and then I came across this video. Thank you for helping me to think outside the square! The only problem will be knowing when to stop collecting random stuff! I love getting supplies for 2nd hand shops too. Happy new subscriber 😊😊😊
I just love watching your videos. I learn so much. I have been practicing drawing botanicals on vacation. I found an old book which has helped me form shapes, yet, as you say, "Keep it loose and breathe"😊. I really sort of surprised myself. So, thank you for your encouragement. I have a lot to learn, and need to practice, practice. But, I'm excited about it.
I at last have found someone who has a desk that looks like mine! 🤣 I love watching creators create but they sometimes make me feel like somethings wrong with me because they are so neat and tidy! Haha... THIS is exactly how i work too. With stuff everywhere, can't ever find anything because it's buried under stuff! I love it and just feel less alone! Loving your work and style! Happy find of the day! So glad i found you!
I think the long winters here in Anchorage Alaska affects my depression and creativity the most. I thought break up was finally here and then we got 2 days of snow again and we are so close to another record 2nd year In a row snow fall. I have some of my art on the kitchen table to do while my husband cooks or I do art while I know he is on his way home. Not much room on the table but I am happy. I am new to your video of creativity thanks for letting me watch. 😊😊😊😊
How did I just discover you?! So glad you popped up on my feed today! I love how you work and appreciate your words about lack of inspiration...constant struggle for me! I'm absolutely effected by the weather. Dark cold and wet usually inhibits me from feeling like doing anything, even crafting. I live in Seattle, Wa and while the summers are beautiful, we have some cloudy days the other 9 months. LOL I keep saying I'm going to move south one of these days and oh boy, wont I be productive ...hahaha! Anyway, I just picked up some large cards like those a couple weeks ago and you've inspired me to use them for a similar project! I have a small, growing channel where I do crafting and do some sales of vintage items. I've done some junk journaling videos and crafting lives. I love making new friends and sharing inspiration! I'm going to join your 54K and subscribe too! Happy crafting!
3 minutes in to the first video of yours I have seen and I love you already! …. 25 minutes in edit…I am in NE Ohio, about 30 miles south of Toronto-We are 3 miles south of Lake Erie. The weather does impact me. I think the rainy days rid me of the guilt that I should be doing something else. As for perfection, I struggle with letting go and just allowing myself to be free in my creations. When I do make mistakes, I tend to use them as opportunities to think outside the box to fix them! Handmade is not perfect….that is what I tell myself. My creative outlet is like therapy for me. I try to get lost in the process. I love what you are making in this video. I am also a creator. My channel is small. I have been at it for a few years now. 267 videos! Wow….. 😂
My mind is so Blah today so i am checking you out for inspiration. Liked and subscribed right away. Thank you for all your wonderful ideas. You helped break my mental block today, and your ideas will be sticking with me as i proceed.
I couldn't believe how many layers went into that pocket page today. I think I stop too soon on some of mine and they look a little bare. I like the way you added just a touch to include elements for consistency and pop if color. The black printed paper was a beautiful contrast. Wow, I learned alot today.
Thank you so much I really really enjoyed watching you create these amazing and wonderful pieces for your journals. You always inspire me to get creative and do some crafts. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags ❤❤❤❤
I too like hitting the op shops ,giving items a new life and yes I agree it’s about having fun and not over thinking thanks just the video I needed to watch!😊
I’m challenged in a different way. When the weather is nice I want to be outside. I love making journals in the rain. Yes, please do a video of gathering in the forest with the pup! I think maybe you’re like me in that I forget to use things I don’t see. I like having lots of things that spark ideas right out in front of me. If it’s all put away I never use it. Am I right?
Love the ideas here! I find that I am more creative when it is raining, too cold, or too hot to really enjoy being outside. I settle in with my craft supplies and paper and play without guilt. If the weather is nice, I have a hundred things I need to do and/or feel like I just need to get outside. I do also really love thrifting and hitting yard sales for things to craft with. It's like a treasure hunt, and I consider it very important to my creative process.
I'm the same way with painting. A year ago I started slow stitching . I thought I fought I could alternate between the two. Wow slow stitching took over I love it. Painting took a backseat. I also make junk journals but only for special occasions. I don't sell. I only do art for pleasure and give away. Thank you for sharing. You always have such good ideas. I haven't seen you for awhile but I have sketched with you and did some abstract painting. You are multitalented. Keep it up. 😊
Love this idea!! As an INFJ, I can't help but to have that "perfectionist" flaw lol! My sis even called me out on it lol! But I do love that handmade look tho. Those imperfections, is what gives what someone is working on, character.
I'm glad you mentioned the unmotivated season you were in....I'm there too. I have soooooo much crafting supplies.. and seem overwhelmed to the point I can't do anything!!
You are amazing 😮. I love how you throw things together and are able to cut out such nice tabs! I also love that you explained how to add like things throughout your project! And most of all your ability to draw such beautiful flowers 😊
I feel alive in the Fall and Winter. Spring and Summer mark hot and uninspired for me. (I'm always in the minority lol). But YES!! I *want* to create, but lately find I spend a lot of time not knowing where to start on a new project, (though I've been doing this 25 years) and I love my altered books, but... Those ideas just escape me too often sometimes. I see several other artists I admire so much, and it seems so easy for them, and I never come close to expressing what they express, and I really want to.
I find we are always comparing ourselves to other crafters or artists. I do it as well. Trust me when I say you have your very own take and style in your work and to keep going. You will learn a little more every time but your style is unique to you and there are those who wish they could do what you do! 😊
I have to tell you how very much I have enjoyed watching your channel. You really make creating fun and stress free. I have really taken to using the playing cards.....what a great idea. I was doing junk journals and as much as I love them.....they take forever. The card journals are fun and you see the finished result quickly. Thanks so much for sharing your creativity.
Fantastic as all your videos...😊 I subscribe to lots including Treasure books, Sue's Adventure journals , Kathy's Garden, Tina at Shabbydoodaday and so many others😊
Love the organic way you work. I enjoyed this video as I just found your channel. I have a channel as well and I appreciate you encouraging us to share.
I enjoy just making ephemera from old book pages love making pockets and tags and envelopes after there decorated they are adorable I am getting ready to start kid journals I have enjoyed watching you we have a lot in common I am going to make a couple of the simple small journaling books I like idea of hinges your projects today was fun to watch thank you for sharing your knowledge and inspiration Theola
Only found you today and so glad I did... thank you for doing something different.... very pleased new subbie, looking forward to following you on here... Cheers Sas.
You can get die cuts for tabs, a lot cheaper than the punches! Worth looking at. I have one and love it. Also if you have the envelope board you can use that punch for tabs too! ❤
I'm with you on stepping away for a bit. I just went through that! I have so much stash to bust through! auggg you just inspired me! Great video! Thanks!!❤
new sub as i wrote few min ago here. Other creators i watch are ---- Treasure Books, ShabbyDabbyDoDah, Turquoise Treasures, NanaKaye, Scrapbooking With Me, Melina Pylant--forgot her channel name, I'm liking your style and your personality !!
I love watching you create beautiful art ❤- I'm a newbie & trying to learn what kind of paper to buy & many more thoughts. English is not my first language, & Junk Journals is English, words like clusters took a while before I understood what that meant. You have different thicker paper, different colors, don't know if you cut them as folder cards, the long "ledger" paper "tag" - sorry don't know the name, but I like your style. Is it digital kits? Thank you 😊. I rarely buy new papers. I buy my papers from thrift shops or make my own paper by using stamps or paint. I have bought some digital prints. I also coffee diy to give it a vintage vibe. I hope that helps. 😊

Hi Michele...Just was wondering what you do with the journals when finished. I love doing them, but when you have a lot...that's the question. You are very creative.
I’ve looked through your videos and can’t find where you show how to use the cards. Since they are slick, I’m wondering how you attach paper to them, do you rough them up or do you use gesso? I’m also curious as to how you join them. If you have a link that shows your beginning stages of putting together a journal with the cards I would love a link! Your work is really, really practical and lovely.
Love to create, but don’t like to put everything away , I don’t have a designated craft room . I have been trying to organize in a way I can pull out what I need and then put things back without feeling like it takes so much time after relaxing while creating

Awesome! Thank you! And yes I agree it’s challenging to know when to stop. I got more goodies today 😱
Tambien me gusta eso!
Me tooooooo! I also love getting stuff from yardsales! Was going to go this morning, but wasn't able to.
I love your style. I prefer to buy paper from thrift stores or reuse packaging. Less waste, yet you're still able to have fun and create!
So true! Thank you 😊

Love it! ❤❤❤
Good afternoon, Michelle. Really enjoyed watching your work today. I am a big believer of the real and imperfect craft. Your project is stunning!
Thank you so much!☺️
I also get all my paper from thrift stores. I absolutely love shopping in thrift stores for books and paper!
Love this! Thank you so much for sharing, take care and have a wonderful, crafty weekend x
Thank you! You too!

Hi😊 so glad I found your Chanel 😊 very inspiring ❤ lots of love from Arctic Norway 🥰🏵️🌸🌺🌼
Wow Artic Norway so cool. Thank you so much 😊
It’s been raining today, I think I’m less creative in the rain. Usually the front coming in can give me a headache. I like the black paper. 💜💜💜
Loved hanging out with you as you created and used thrift store finds ! Thanks for sharing!

Pockets do hide. So what I do is add a pcket marker. That way when I come back I can spot my pockets.
Me too, no mojo ugh!! I’m hoping it comes back soon lol.
It’s a bummer lol

Hi Michele...Just was wondering what you do with the journals when finished. I love doing them, but when you have a lot...that's the question. You are very creative.
Thank you 😊. I usually sell them or give them to friends and family. I also hoard a few lol. I also use them to write in
I’ve looked through your videos and can’t find where you show how to use the cards. Since they are slick, I’m wondering how you attach paper to them, do you rough them up or do you use gesso? Welcome!!! 😊
Cool, helpful video. What “3 in one” glue is that?
I believe it’s beacon brand. Kinda pricey stuff
Hi, my supplies are thrifted, given to me or pulled from the indoor recycling dumpsters nearby. Near O'Hare airport. Tina, Al's wife
Love to create, but don’t like to put everything away , I don’t have a designated craft room . I have been trying to organize in a way I can pull out what I need and then put things back without feeling like it takes so much time after relaxing while creating
First its all about the voice. And if the persons voice gets on my nerves i just watch and turn down the sound. Start my day with Gayle G.
Fun fun! Where are you in Ontario? Do you teach?
I am challenged by being home a lot. No inspiration here. Just cooking and cleaning. yuk. Am planning on joining a group of artists to get motivated.
I can understand being home a lot and not having much motivation. I hope the group gets you motivated. I take my dog for walks that helps me as well
How do you sharpen your punches?
Are those regular size playing cards? They look bigger.
X-Large from the thrift shop they are approx 4”x5”
Can you tell me how to sharpen a punch please? I have a couple of punches that don't go through copy paper and I didn't want to throw them away.
Try some extra fine sandpaper, that might work.
@@cherirose6660 thankyou I will
I have know idea. I was going to google it lol
Hi, some people suggest cutting some tin foil layers to sharpen punches - but I have found that some punches don't like paper that's too thin or card that's too thick too!
I am always inspired by what you do, Michele. I have a channel where I do DIY projects for home, decor, also lots of journal and mixed media. @ellenjgoods
That’s awesome. I would like to expand into home decors on this Chanel as well but don’t have the camera skills lol
