Do you focus on your job? Do you have conversations about your work? There is literally nothing wrong with followers of Jesus discussing their craft in depth. Excellence in the way you work/ what you create glorifies God, and is worship to God. Are Christians not allowed to have conversations about their work? Not everyone is called to be a literal preacher. You can preach Jesus through waiting tables, construction working, preaching, or being an artist. People are hyper critical of artists for some reason.
We were actually made to have dominion and usher in the kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven. Worshiping is a byproduct of being citizens in a KINGdom. So, generally speaking we weren't made simply to worship, God's plan for man was and is not that linear.
Some of this worship music is NOT giving glory to God in my opinion! It’s basic and bad. If we are to create art to glorify the Lord, let them be CREATIVE. Let them make GOOD art

My vision for writing music has been I want to make music that draws myself and those listening into the presence of God, I think that is what it should be all about.
People want to hear the love for Jesus, they need to hear why you love him so much… I think that’s what attracts people to Christ through the music. It baffles me that these artists always start out under the label as Christian artist but then drift off to the other side. Why not just start off as a regular artist and make the kind of music you want to make? One reason is because it's hard trying to make it as a artist in the music industry, so they have to find an alternative way to get in.

I love her music, and after hearing her process and how she works with a team, I love her music even more. I often wonder how the artist is outside of the microphone and sometimes (actually the majority of the time) its a disappointment or total disaster. She's the real deal. She practices what she preaches to coin a phrase, and that's great. God bless her.

Our commision is to preach the gospel and make disciples not sell our personal merch. I love Terrians music but as a Christian I am disappointed that the opportunity wasn’t taken to be more forward in glorifying Jesus.

I have always written inbetween genres and feel it is art. What is in you will come out. I think it just needs to be sound doctorine and good music.
