As we pay through the nose for fuel. Are you listening to what you say? Look at gasoline prices during the prior admin and during this admin. Moreover, Biden was concerned that the high prices would cost him in the midterm so he drew down the strategic reserve instead of allowing the oil companies to pump. That reserve is supposed to be there to fuel fighter jets and tanks in case of war, not for political purposes.

Yes, but the head of the DNC made a statement about the party deciding on "a candidate who can defeat Donald Trump." And AOC did a livestream a day or so ago revealing that many of the same Dems who wanted Biden out do *not* want Harris to replace him. I hope for all our sakes they get their heads out of the opposite end of their bodies and get together behind Harris, for multiple reasons.

The issue is for a LOT of the demographics that Biden needed, and relied on in 2020, he didn't have them anymore. While Trump likely only has his base, Independents, young voters, Muslims and black voters in swing states made this election cycle impossible for Biden, since the drive to vote is at a low for him. It's the first time polls had regularly showed Democrats LOSING the popular vote. It is a brave and noble thing to see the data and listen to the people and step down. He's done great things but realistically lost the support of A LOT of people he needs. You can't win by telling people not to believe what they are seeing before them. Realistically, he can't drum up more support without heavy campaigning and he can't physically do that anymore. I believe that Kamala or whoever takes the mantle has room to grow, and expose issues the conservatives have, where they will almost guaranteed attack either DEI(race/gender), abortion access, age, and other issues that Biden wasnt able to combat Trump on in the debate. Though he won the primary from a lack of primary debate/contenders, Biden remains behind due to his inability to campaign without the promise of better performances. Let's vote blue and aid Biden's last moments in office by defeating Trump.

He could have been a narcissist like Trump and stayed in for his own pride and ego, further dividing the party, but Biden recognized that without party support, he would be fighting an uphill battle and he thought about what is best for the country rather than himself. By stepping down, even due to it being a result of pressure, he is banking on the people really getting to hear about the issues and policy differences of the candidates rather than the media and spineless party members harping on about his age and mental faculties for the next 3 months. That’s integrity on his part even if those around him are lacking.

I watched the debate and maybe due to health, maybe he was not his best but Biden answered questions asked of him, yet tRumP seemed to avoid questions he was given. tRumP had to dispute Biden on 99% of Biden’s answers.
