I saw Ernest Tubb in a bar named Country Gardens in Holt, MO // His son, Justin was with him. My friend won tickets. It was 1982. He signed my ticket and I gave it to my dad. He was real country. kl
Thank you lots for all your tutorials! I’ve found my way into guitar through my favorite old songs. Just can quite figure out the strumming pattern on this one with my green fingers.
Thank you fretmore! 🙂 you always have the song I’m looking for. This video and Waylon’s I’m a ramblin man were very helpful. I haven’t played long so it’s hard to keep up, can’t quite figure out your strumming pattern, but it’s been great practice
You can use a blues scale or a major pentatonic scale. You don’t have to stay right with the scale. A lot of the older stuff played the melody. Find the chord you’re playing in, in the F position down the neck and play within those 3 frets will get the job done.

You’re welcome Wyatt! Thanks so much for watching, if you have any questions let me know.
Do you have a melody that you wrote that you wouldn't mind showing ?
Hey Gary, are you wanting a lesson on a particular song that I wrote?
Highly recommend getting the games!
Thanks Fred!
👏 I can't believe I missed this the day you uploaded it! What scales do you suggest learning for licks to go with older country like this?
