Cool fireworks .We had our 24th June fireworks here .For Saint Jean(John) de Baptiste day here in Quebec Canada . And on the 1st of July Canada Day fireworks also . So have a good a good 4th of July one everyone .

I've never seen an icecream truck go backwards. When I was a little kid, I'd b all running as fast as my little legs could go and screaming. STOP, STOP

Speaking of the ole M80 and M90 I was in Kansas years ago. I brought a bunch over here. Ive had them say 17 years. I got mad at some squirrels just to scare them off. I lit the dang thing a boom. That plastic piece inside can do damage to a human foot. It hurt like heck. Thank's for the memory lol Was a fun video Ken thank you
The last M-80 I remember having, destroyed a metal garbage can lid in my high school's parking lot.

We were poor when I was growing up. When the ice cream man came down our street ringing his bell, I always asked if I could have some ice cream. My mother told me that when he was ringing his bell, it meant he was out of ice cream. Bummer!

Great video as usual. I saw you had some fireworks drone footage and some other night footage in past videos. Any advice for a drone pilot looking to get a 107.29 waiver? They seem to be getting tougher to get. Thanks again for the great videos.
I've never gone after a waiver, but they do seem to be clamping down on them for some reason.
Only advice I can offer is to develop a relationship with your local FAA guy. Maybe send him/her a fruit basket?

The salesman was pulling your chain. No matter what name they are given, a legal firecracker in the US can only contain a maximum of 50mg of flash powder. Real M-80s had 3.5g, 35x the max allowed in a modern firecracker. Their "m-1000" wont even break skin, much less blow your fingers off. The real deal is still out there, but the last place you will find it is at a TNT fireworks stand. That company, along with Phantom Fireworks, are actively lobbying the CPSC to put even more ridiculous restrictions on consumer fireworks. If you like buying loud and vibrantly colored fireworks, they are the last people you should give your money to.
like to ask does companies send you drones to test out, like some of the people on youtube. I notice you only have the dji drone. your thoughts... thumbs up video.

Federal law now limits the grains of powder in firecrackers. Therefore from my understanding of it, even certain countires cannot make firecrackers that powerful to sell. But would be nice to be wrong...also since I live in california, cannot legally have firecrackers!

Hey Ken, Please shed some light on droning a firework event.
In the USA the FAA won't allow night flights anymore. You can film at a very dark dusk though.
Also, don't get too close to the ordinances! I know it LOOKS cool with the fireworks flying past, but just one hit, and you're finished.
I've filmed four fireworks celebrations and each time underestimated the reach of the rockets. Fly safely!!
Thank you. I will keep in mind and will not even drone if it is 20 minutes after sunset. I heard they give special authorization to fly at night if supported with valid reason(not sure if 4th of July fireworks is a valid reason). You should have got that so that we all could have enjoyed a firework feast.

I had a deputy friend bring me some m1000's and although louder than a regular firecracker, when opnned to inspect they were pack inside with only paper wadding and the firecracker was as small as the ones they call lady fingers.
As a child my parents always drove us to Tennessee to get fireworks 💥 Wisconsin was a lot more restrictive back then.
