I did not think I needed an extra fixed blade, but this one simply beats everything I have as a camp knife. I mostly do food prep with a knife when camping, for which the extra length of the xl, the modest 3mm blade stock, the broad blade and the flat grind is great. But unlike a normal kitchen knife, it is sturdy enough to cut wood reasonably well too or anything that comes up when camping. Because of the tough Nitro V (and the reasonable price) I will not hesitate to even do some light batoning if needed. I ordered this black/blue one via your link, thanks for the review.
@@michaelteasdale8697 Asher's website had a seconds sale on them. The site still has them but upped the price. Whatever issue that made him decide it was a 2nd is something I'll never know. I was not able to find the blemish. It was definitely a "steel" of a deal @ $65.
If it was in 1084 steel I'd grab one. I no longer trust any of these Chinese companies to provide a decent heat treat on anything else. I bet they would actually perform better too.
First REAL comment… sheesh… they need to make the original Mink with the sheepsfoot blade. I will buy 2 in that config!

Just put in my order for this had boy , I love the blue 💙 scales and black blade . Really like everything about this knife
Second, third or however many upvotes for Original Mink with sheepsfoot blade...would make it an instant must buy.
I grabbed one of the original Minks in this drop. Love it.
Just ordered mine. Looks perfect to keep in the pocket on the back of my passenger seat.
I’m kinda surprised you haven’t made a kydex press and started making sheaths here and there it’s super easy and your pretty handy
@@rustytygart405 I’ve definitely thought about it but I don’t have much extra time but I’ll never say never 👌🍻🍻
Could be perfect
Original is a small knife that feels big! I do like the XL as well but I'm a bit more fond of the original. 👍🗡️👊
Still amazed I was able to score an Asher lil buddy (2nd) in s90v for $65. What a score vs this knife in nitro v.
Where how?

Looks good
Nice sheths are everything to me deal breaker
Looks nice. Out of stock unfortunately.

Heat treats are not up to par.. the Chinese knifes are not worth buying
