I understand you fully, you like to keep the car luxury and light on mods. Same with me. Without modifications the car is amazing and very reliable, yours is very clean and classy. Great vid
I have a 2017 turbo waste gates went out at 41k Miles then at 46k I cracked my oil pan which is made out of plastic by they way. Z1motorsports sell an under guard for that I recommend. When I cracked my oil pan it ruined my engine started to leak antifreeze into oil. Luckily I was still under factory warranty so they replaced the whole engine with new turbos 😊. I am at 90k miles now no more issues it’s been solid.
I have a 2020 q50 luxe which I really like. I do miss the Bose stereo on my 2013 g37 and the acceleration was a bit faster, more sudden. 30hp less. This car isn’t sluggish. I just miss that throw your head back against the seat start. I don’t find this car loud on the highway like some do. It’s a classic luxury car. One thing that irked me was the lack of spare tire which many seem to be moving to. I bought it used so the run flat tires had been replaced with regular tires. I did purchase a temporary donut spare tire kit I could use to get to a tire store. Under the mat in the trunk there is enough room for it and the jack. He says there isn’t but it fits in there nicely. And it doesn’t way too much.
@@legacysmith4367dealership quotes it at 7k parts and labor , you can buy new bigger and better turbos for about 4/5k and probably get the labor for around 1-3k but don’t quote me on that lol
Not dumb at all, I just lost my 2016 but now getting a 2021 same color and everything. I love driving this car! I would never modify it’s perfect already.😊
I have a 2020 signature. And also from ontario. Just north of TO. Been having hell of time getting anything done at dealer under warranty.. Just dont think the knowledge is there in the shops anymore
Yes yes I know. Unfortunately Infiniti Canada is does not work like Infiniti USA. Over here they will do anything to decline your warranty claim. Maybe they don’t make enough money here.
As much as I have seen out there its really a hit or miss kinda thing. Some people have stock turbos for 160k miles and some are replacing in 30k. People who have maintained there car they have also experienced turbo failure prematurely. This platform is very polarizing in my opinion
I own a 2014 hybrid in pearl white and tbh I'm appreciating what the car is straight out of the factory and gonna make slight changes to it not much cause it's super beautiful as is
@@rixery 130,000km no major issues but I have a slight transmission shudder in first gear but I’ve changed my fluid a few times and used instant shudder fix and it’s subtle now
Not really. If you are driving too much in the city bumper to bumper traffic its gonna cost you some $$ but if you drive mostly on highway its actually not bad for a V6
Honestly if you are going to keep the car for long time go with Lexus. More comfortable, better resale value and Toyota reliability. If you want headache and want to do vroom vroom go with Q
Only time can tell that but lot of these cars have issues with Turbo’s and there are also some people with stock turbo no issue. Very polarizing platform. Best to be safe. Dont push it too hard. Keep oil change intervals to 5k and try to use Amsoil.

Awesome 👏🏾 review
i got a 2022 civic sport and lowkey want a q50 now might have to trade in
Make sure you get 2018 or up models as they have revised turbos.
Just got a 2017 red sport with an extended warranty so if the turbos do go out hopefully it’s replaced with newer turbos 😅
About how much would it cost to replace the turbos?

looking at a used 3.0t Q50 should i get it 32k miles on it
Great video I a have a 2019 Q50 Lux with 36,000 on it I heard the turbos could last to over 100,000 miles what’s your thoughts on that? Thanks

have a 2019 3.0 nothing wrong yet at 40k miles. what phone holder do you have though? i cant find one that doesn’t fall out when i drive
Glad to hear that. That phone holder is a cheap one with magnets.
2018 + turbos are the most reliable
Is it a good gas savor ?

@@poveverything99 I’m looking into a 19 3.0t luxe. I drive mostly highway. What kind of MPG do you think I would avg?
for a 300 hp car with two turbos, you can get 8.3 l/100km is already so good
On highway that’s actually good I agree given the engine configuration, however its the city where it hurts the most.
I just sold my 2010 IS250 Lexus. I'm torn between 2020 Q50 or 2017 IS300 F sport. What should I pick??
If you want speed go for the q50. If you want more luxury then get an is. I have a 2020 q50 and love it. But I care more about speed then luxury
