However spending on feed is too expensive in exp. There's one easy way to do it: the discipline awe (presence), or hypnotize (dominate) everytime you use awe you make a charisma roll vs wits of the opponent, if you success, the feed occurs everytime you try even at level one

touchstones dying is a narrative element more than gameplay mechanics, part of the vampire dies with them (metaphorically). the point is to agonise over the idea of making your touchstone a ghoul (which you wouldn't want if you truly love them), embracing them (eternal life, eternal damnation. not ideal.) or letting them live and die as humans (painful, and they could be taken away from you any second by your enemies, a sickness, or even something as insignificant as being hit by a car. can birth paranoia).

Always good to see you, Outstar. Watching this game is so much better with you here to explain everything. Thank you for explaining what was wrong with that woman’s mouth. I’d been wondering about that. Looking forward to the next episode.🙂
As for the best weapons, these are the aggravated and fire ones. There's exceptions tho, arrows can have a "stake" effect. Whenever you land a hit on the heart, either with an arrow or a stake, the vampire is paralized, this works even on bosses! this is very hard to do, so crossbows should be use with a character with high dexterity. The other exception is the assault rifle and the chain gun, because of the rate of fire, again they're dependent on dexterity. The trick is to keep pressing on the target uninterruptedly for the automatic chain effect to be used, otherwise your Character only will fire a burst. I recommend using them because it's fun and it looks cool 😎. Christof looks like a total badass changing between the assault rifle and the ainkurn sword (sister of Dracula's sword) in between fights, you have melee and range so you fight more strategicaly and you can always change the assault rifle for the chaingun in the final parts of the game. Of course you can cheese it and use theft of vitae to insta kill any enemy, but I think that broke the game and takes away a lot of the fun, as many fights are negated that way. Is more fun to fight the "brujah" way
Remember to use the discipline tomes wisely! I've posted a guide in your fist episode! Also speak a little about Cosmas! It's badass that a roman vampire survived to 1141!
What a fantastic game. To be honest I'd only ever been a fan of Bloodlines for the longest time, but now I'm really into the WOD as a whole and I'm really impressed with Redemption as a game too. I wonder if they'll ever make another VtM game pre-Modern Nights? Or if another game would dare to have its characters actually speak to each other in as much archaic English as Redemption did? TLDR this game needs more love and THANK YOU Outstar (I cannot wait to see what role Ecaterina is going to play in Shadows of New York)
Another way to make Wilhelm a better sidekick is to build up his General Disciplines during the Cappadocian Quest. Doing this will use most of his XP earned during this mission. I give this set of powers to Wilhelm because I give Christof and other characters other sets of powers that do other things. To do this, Wilhelm purchases Blood Strength 1, Blood Dexterity 1, Blood Stamina 1, Awaken 1, and Walk the Abyss 1. No Ability Score increases are required for this. The first three powers are useful incremental power boosts, however Awaken and Walk the Abyss are very useful for the Player Character (PC) party. Having even one dot of the Awaken power frees the party from dependence on expensive Awaken scrolls. If every other party member carried an Awaken scroll or two, that is enough. Awaken powered by blood is more reliable than Awaken depending on single-use scrolls. Walk the Abyss can do several things possibly not intended by the original designers. In addition to being a useful “loot hauler”, this power can do the following: 1. Walk the Abyss can snatch the entire party from danger. As long as the portal’s creator can touch the portal, the entire party will be teleported to the portal’s other end, regardless of how far other party members are from the portal. 2. A Walk the Abyss portal is effectively a “Wall of Force” vs. any NPC physical or magical attacks. The game AI is usually not smart enough to send the NPC around the portal. 3. The portal created by Walk the Abyss is the moveable equivalent to a level entrance/exit in every way, including the ability to “cheese” the game. “Rolling the chests”, and other containers for “best treasure” becomes incredibly easy, however it does burn large quantities of blood. The most extreme use of this is to refrain from opening any chests/barrels/other containers until after acquiring Walk the Abyss. This may happen after killing Mercurio.
Thank you for yet another episode in the spirit of Vtm Redemption revival.😃 This is the part where additional micro-managing will come into play in the form of additional allies to control. The game doesn't really have the conservative d&d taunting ability. But feel free to lay down your brujah charm while causing your opponents to Become infatuated (Awe) or stricken with terror (Dread Gaze). Higher presence levels will bring more options of course. Don't forget your Potence and Celerity as well. 👍
And another trick to bear in mind. If your characters are not so much in need of vitae, you could always use one ally to grab a foe (not all foes can be grabbed of course) and feed of them. Then use another ally to hack and slash at the grappled foe for some quick retaliation.
By the way. There is a bug when you change AI settings. Sometimes the game will ignore it, which is annoying since the AI is dumb as a rock and WILL spend every last drop of blood on every trashmob. In that case, save and reload. Edit: Also, unless you savescum for better loot, it'll be quite hard to get the expensive stuff from Unorna before you leave Prague.
This is an authentic VtmR experience. She tries turning off auto casting (naively), and Christof gets stuck on a table in the monastery. Oh the nostalgia.
I forgot how funny this game was sometimes. "Shouldst thou meet one, God help thee. Shouldst though need his assistance, God cannot help thee." Hahahaha!
I loved this game, I played it through at least ten times, the Dark Ages setting is really close to my heart. But in my opinion one of the most problematic part of the party management is the party members just keep stealing the XP from Christoph. During the last few times I played with this game, I just left my fellow Kindred at the entrance of every level, and I went through all the enemies with just Chirs only. He became pretty effective in the end. I love the channel by the way. :)
I don't think anyone can steal experience in this game. Looks like every party member gets the same amount for each kill, regardless of who scores it. I tend to solo with Christof as well, but that's just because it's efficient. Micromanaging a party in a game that plays like Diablo is just not a valid option. Playing this recently I couldn't help but wonder how awesome the combat would have been if it was real time with pause (Baldur's Gate style).
@@Mrityugata, as I saw, if Chris gather all the kills, he get more XP than the others. The difference felt more significant once when I left all the other party members in torpor in the second half of the game. 🙂 But maybe it's on the version. When I played with this last time, there wasn't save option, just in the haven. But I know in the newer versions you can save the game any time, so maybe there are other differences I just don't know about.
Thank you so much for replaying this game for us. I absolutely LOVE VTM because of this game. It was my first experience with the WoD growing up and it's my favorite vampire media. Such amazing and deep lore. I always identify as Toreador in the games but I'm really leaning towards Tremere for Bloodlines 2.
Outstar i have lore question. Could Tzimisce use their ability to craft flesh and make Nosferatu into normal looking vampire? Or would the Nosferatu clan curse prevent it, or maybe they would change back overtime?
Eh, don't worry about it. Combat in this game is heavily RNG based, so you can do the same fight twice the exact same way and get two different outcomes. Back when this came out, I played through it many times. On one playthrough, I got cocky and wanted to fight Ahzra with nothing but stakes and holy water. The idea was to stake her, then toss holy water at her until she dusts (with the stake preventing her from healing). The first attempt went literally flawlessly (I even staked her on the first attempt), and I felt super badass. I tried it again on the next playthrough and couldn't even get a stake in her heart to save Christof's life...multiple times.
Those are the fools ones, erudits, scholars, are truth brujah. Compare an anarchist is like compare a hollywood neo nazi, skinhead with a real and traditional Nationalsocialist/fascist
No, the now invisible sire with the previous video's ugly mouth means Christo-boy is a NOSFERATU. ;) Couldn't Katarina just read a book on Carthage vampires to know about them?
The Cappadocius are morticias nerds. I like them. Unhappily the Giovanny helped by many other traitor clans, stole their power and almost destroyed them. Luckily in the V5 the Cappadocius took revenge on the Giovanni. Now all the necromancer are very few in numbers. Giovanni + Cappadocius + Samedi = Hecatas.
Never played Redemption before, so I'm really enjoying your walkthrough and I'm actually thinking of purchasing the game myself to give it a try. Lots of love from Prague, Outstar :))
You one-shoted Mercurio? Holy shit! That's not easy to do. The cheesy parts, with its lore, mixed with your own vampy lore makes it refreshing. Cheers! I am enjoying this playthrogh a lot :)
@outstar With VTM Redemption you're going to need to go into the display settings and change the aspect ratios. It will be a case of trial and error but it will stop awkward shots like when he drank from Ekaterina or his head being out of shot during close-ups.
You know what I've found amusing about the Cappadocians is that even before V5 brought them back as part of the Hecata, there was ALWAYS another 'Last Cappadocian'. Always another one poking up. Oh and speaking of the Hecata, I don't know if you were a backer of Cults of the Blood Gods and read the manuscript but Serena is alive and well in V5 and part of the Hecata. They even gave her a last name, Praha.
The first game that made me a life long VTM fan! I literally play this game once a year still lol! FYI you didn't find the Tzimisce femur as a weapon! It's one of the best you can get in the game when your physical attributes up!
Maybe I'm mistaken but Ecaterina's has her scarred jaw by a attempted cremation as I recall from the lore that come with the game's instruction mini book. Maybe is not canon and time has passed from my last play so forgive my memory and grammar. Great video as ever by the way.
When you get to the Tremere Haus de Hexe, make sure you find the Tome of Blood Magic - Rituals. I've never beaten the game without Prison of Ice. :O :O :O Use Presence (Awe) a lot - you can eat your way through most enemies. ^_^ Awe, and then bite and drain them to dust. Make sure anyone else in your coterie can get it levels it too. ^_^

I remember playing this game for the first time in 2003 when I was 15, I had first CD unpatched version (but I had less bugs than later with the patched version lol) actually Mercurio was much stronger (they balanced him in final patch 1.1), I was fighting him for two hours lol, Christof was the only one who barely survived it cuz when I was short on blood Christof went frezny and attacked Wilhem and suck him dry lol, but in that frezny he managed to also kill Marcurio somehow as he was on low health too, so I said to myself fu** it I will go with this (you can resurrect your party members using scrolls of awaken or some disciplines), but while Wilhem was in the tarpor he was still talking in the cutscenes haha xD Fun game, still great for year 2000 and only like 6-7 people were working on it.

Always good to see you, Outstar. Watching this game is so much better with you here to explain everything. Thank you for explaining what was wrong with that woman’s mouth. I’d been wondering about that. Looking forward to the next episode.🙂
This is so great! Thanks for playing this, Outstar. Looking forward to the next one. NAY!
Toreodor bane is that their kiss leaves a mess in their victim's pants....
Is more fun to fight the "brujah" way
You are playing like a real pro by the way!
New Redemption part? I guess sleep can wait
"Such rebelliousness is unseemly in a brujah, I do not like such willful childer"
Leading member of the sabbat everyone
Holy crap, the voice actor of Cristof is Christopher Lambert?!!? Awesome, Lord Raiden in a Vampire Game!
No he was voiced by Nicholas Guest.
Another way to make Wilhelm a better sidekick is to build up his General Disciplines
during the Cappadocian Quest.
In addition to being a useful “loot hauler”, this power can do the following:
1. Walk the Abyss can snatch the entire party from danger. As long as the portal’s creator can touch the portal, the entire party will be teleported to the portal’s other end, regardless of
how far other party members are from the portal.
2. A Walk the Abyss portal is effectively a “Wall of Force” vs. any NPC physical or
magical attacks.
Vampire powers include: clipping through tables
This is an authentic VtmR experience. She tries turning off auto casting (naively), and Christof gets stuck on a table in the monastery. Oh the nostalgia.
in the middle of the night;D im glad I did not slept. and I beg for more:D
And I have yearned for this video, my thirst is quenched!
I can't wait to watch you fight the Golem.
Oh thank god it was the good brujah clan
I forgot how funny this game was sometimes. "Shouldst thou meet one, God help thee. Shouldst though need his assistance, God cannot help thee." Hahahaha!
This is giving me my bloodline fix.
I forgot so much about this game. Thank you for these videos, they are so much fun.
Or would the Nosferatu clan curse prevent it, or maybe they would change back overtime?
i been wondering similar about Lasombra... cant they just use their shadow-watching skill to observe own image?
Nope. The Clan Curse will override the Tzimisce's work and they quickly revert back to their hideous nature.
I played Redemption earlier this year and had so much trouble with Mercurio. Can’t believe you killed him in the first try!
"But the Golem is not a demon"
"Naaaaay"
I Love this game. Have the cd till this day.
Lots of funny bugs.
it's funny the transformation that the Brujah go through over time. Scholars to rebels and anarchists.
Those are the fools ones, erudits, scholars, are truth brujah. Compare an anarchist is like compare a hollywood neo nazi, skinhead with a real and traditional Nationalsocialist/fascist
No, the now invisible sire with the previous video's ugly mouth means Christo-boy is a NOSFERATU. ;)
Couldn't Katarina just read a book on Carthage vampires to know about them?
Some Cappadocians survived, they are now Harbingers of Skulls and serve the Sabbat.
These thumbnails are top tier
The Cappadocius are morticias nerds.
I like them.
Unhappily the Giovanny helped by many other traitor clans, stole their power and almost destroyed them.
Luckily in the V5 the Cappadocius took revenge on the Giovanni. Now all the necromancer are very few in numbers.
Giovanni + Cappadocius + Samedi = Hecatas.
Never played Redemption before, so I'm really enjoying your walkthrough and I'm actually thinking of purchasing the game myself to give it a try. Lots of love from Prague, Outstar :))
I’m loving these thumbnails lmao
"a lot of mistakes" *holds stake like a boss*
YESSS ive been waiting for this for forever
You one-shoted Mercurio? Holy shit! That's not easy to do. The cheesy parts, with its lore, mixed with your own vampy lore makes it refreshing. Cheers! I am enjoying this playthrogh a lot :)
He was downgraded by the patch she uses.
@@CallindorCray That would explain why the chars tanked those nasty belches so well.
Toss Wilhelm an axe as soon as his strength will allow.
I just happened to finish the second part :D You made my night! Thanks!
Came here from the quartering and I’m glad he made a mistake because now I’ve been exposed to this great channel. Keep up the incredible work.
That intro ahahaha. Oh Christof you old school dawg.
I didn't experience alot of camera bugs back in the day. Bugs yes but the cut always normally worked fine.
I think that wasn't a bug but rather a patch feature, some shots were nice but over all too close.
@outstar With VTM Redemption you're going to need to go into the display settings and change the aspect ratios.
It will be a case of trial and error but it will stop awkward shots like when he drank from Ekaterina or his head being out of shot during close-ups.
Chirstof and Willhelm: We are Number One!
*NO RATS WERE INJURED DURING THE FILMING OF THIS ADVENTURE.*
Fun fact: the first piece of Vampire media to canonize the silent J pronunciation of Brujah was the TV show from 1996
I allways thought they should have done a version of this game for PS2 back in that time..
Thank you for this playthrough. Point and click I could never see myself playing this
Oh i am so glad you play THIS part. I dont like the fact that everyone play and talk only about that buggy ass Bloodline.
Are you implying this game isn't buggy?
@@seb24789 i see none...best 3d detailed rpg of that time
You know what I've found amusing about the Cappadocians is that even before V5 brought them back as part of the Hecata, there was ALWAYS another 'Last Cappadocian'.
Okay but If a vampire has true faith will it destroy itself?
No, they are protected.
So cute you are with the "Cappa boys", but you do have other Disciplines you know... Not only blood heal. Also you can level them up.
lol... that recap really captured the essential parts.
I started playing redemption, again, when u started this let’s play and got farther than I gotten, when I was a teen. But for reasons, I had to uninstall GOG galaxy, last night and forgotten to backup my saves. But weirdly enough, two old saves are still there and their pretty close to this point of this ep. But at least, now I can play along side ur videos. Also I know which disciplines to start with, now. So, what evs.
I just learned of Vampire: The Masquerade and i hope to learn from your videos, keep'em coming!
19:15 That's a _nice_ discipline bracelet.
Good old time
Wilhem: and now, when I ended the preaching part 'bout humanity and all, let's go and whole slaughter that monastery.
videos and you are amazing! thank you.. I am such an addict of masquerade bloodlines and your videos make waiting for a new part easier :D also I don't have time to play redemption myself..
Brujah also have presence hence why Kristof is using Awe
Wait the part with "I don't expect loyalty..." was in the BL2 trailer
