- This is my Vixen Horns VXS-1450AR electric motor-driven emergency warning siren/alarm system (air raid siren). Whether there's a tornado, tsunami, landslide, damn break, wildfire, chemical spill, police emergency, or anything else that requires immediate emergency notification, these sirens are a cheaper option that can be bought on Amazon or eBay for smaller firms. Industrial facilities, small school campuses, and summer camps are just a few examples of where these loud alarms might come in handy. Thank you for viewing!

1:20 the siren he restored is actually a General Detroit model 344 (sadly now inactive) but this siren is one of three GD344’s left in America
Nice! Also, some towns also use their sirens as a noon whistle (every day at 12 pm) or something similar like a curfew.

Oh goodness, when the siren wasn't turning off, my heart rate spiked through the roof...
I felt your panic through the screen... Especially because you are in a forested area and some people may think it's some kind of fire warning.

3:39 if you look to the far right you can actually see one of his tiny sirens that are fire alarm-sized (also the model name for these tiny ones is MS-190)

Heres another thing, the closer that "wheel" is to the stator, which is the intake, the ports, and all that stuff, at least on this specific model, the louder it is. For example if the chopper was 3 inches away from the stator, it wouldn't be as loud as half an inch. chances are it probably wouldn't even work at 3 inches. Though it is an issue once you hear scraping.

I would love to get on of these but know nothing about electrical wiring: could anybody here tell me how to wire it to a plug with an on/off switch? As i understand on Amazon it comes like this with no plug connected to it.
Choppers (rotor portion): draws in air only to "chop" the air after compression. ""not fans at all""
Flutes (stator housing portion): responsible for many idiots too close for losing fingers and hearing.

Guess what I love fire alarms and smoke detectors and tornado sirens or warning sirens and I have one of these too it looks similar but I do a bit different I put it on a tall 8 foot pole so I can warn my neighbors if there’s any danger coming their way

When you said that it was such a small siren, I was confused by when u said that because it looked really big. That was until you put your hand over it.

The sirens near my house went off 3 times in a week when it was completely sunny with little rain. I think tornado sirens are great, but they create too many false alarms.
There are hackers hacking the tornado sirens anywhere. I don't know how do these hackers do it but it's become a problem because people are just only to think that it's a false alarm and just ignore it. This could put people's lives in danger for a example: a tornado is coming to a town and people are still inside their homes ignoring the warning. Another example is that I tsunami is coming and people are just ignoring the warning and stay behind until they get killed by the tsunami hitting land.
