- I've had trouble finding some of my favorite Vintage Movies. So I started seeking these off of UA-cam, and uploading better copies of what I watch every day. So every post is the film or tv program I've watched that same day. Being retired leaves plenty of time!
LOTS of British movies, from Classics to B Movies, primarily suspense, spooky, stormy stuff from 30s/40s/50s/60s/70s/80s/90s~though my favorite is 30s/40s!
You won't see too many chick flicks though---more of a tomboy! 🫶
Something you'd like to see? Let me know!
~Moxie~
I love these bnw movies wherein good quality scènes & sense of decency unlike the movies nowadays thanks somuch 🎉🎉🎉
This is awesome i love the movies from this era
I love old Hollywood movies ever since I was a child, and I am 58yrs old. But mystery movies and film noir are my two least favorite genres. But I really enjoyed this old mystery movie. The old hermit was my favorite character. Thanks for posting.
What are your favorite sorts of old movies, if not mystery and film noir? Drama? Comedy? Sci-Fi? I am genuinely curious!!!!
One of my favorites is from here to eternity it's basically a dramatic love story set to the backdrop of America's entry into world war II with the attack on Pearl harbor
Thanks for sharing .This was a very good movie all i needed was some popcorn 🍿 & a Root beer pop.
I always like popcorn too! Plus plain M and M's, and a sparkling water, with super high carbonation! Even though it's hard to make myself SIT DOWN and watch something, I DO make a big deal about The Event, and enjoy the accoutrements even while buzzing around folding laundry and watching 🫶
What a cute, entertaining movie! Thanks for posting!
I think it's pretty special too, Nancy! Glad you stopped by!
What an action packed, fun film. Thank you!
So glad you enjoyed watching! It's AMAZING to have access to these films!
Based on a story by Earle Derr Biggers, and you all surely know which famous sleuth (in novels and film) HE created. Lots of fun in this one.
Tommy Chong?
@@FlipDahlenburg...or was it his older brother Charlie Chong?
Love film noirs set in trains, my favorite being TheNarrow Margin.Tony Barrett played mostly bad guys like his role in Impact.
Trains are MY THING too! I am very familiar with the original Narrow Margin AND the remake with Gene Hackman and Ann Archer.
When looking for something to watch, I will always use the search terms "STORMY NIGHT"--but just as frequently, I use "MURDER SET ON TRAIN"!
Are you familiar with THE LADY VANISHES from 1938? I will be uploading soon!
Glad you enjoyed Seven Keys to Baldpate---it seems to have gone unnoticed by many!!!
"Seven Keys" has almost as many productions as "Phantom of the Opera", but we can tell how this version casts the hero the moment we see --- the polka dot bowtie. Did anyone ever play it straight and serious wearing a bow tie, with polka dots?
Old Hollywood had so much Style not to mention very attractive actors and I like the peons we have now
Beautiful actress. She reminds me of Sondra Dee.
Love this Moxie!!! Never seen it and I’m a huge B/W movie watcher.
Black and white movies are THE BESTEST!!!
Hope you enjoy this one!! 😍
It combines my favorite backdrop-a dark and stormy night! And adds some mystery and comedy and voila! Cinematic perfection!!
I haven’t ever posted an actual movie on my channel before, but I just might start!!
I went to watch this film yesterday
(I have massive UA-cam playlists with movies from every decade) and the 1947 version was no longer on UA-cam!
I found it on archive.org and uploaded-crossed my fingers that there are no copyright issues! My upload was blessed by UA-cam aka the movie is public domain! #Yay!
Ps! Hope you are enjoying the weather!! 🥰
I tagged you in a great recipe moxie
@@ClancyWoodard-yw6tg Thanks Clancy, I will take a look!!!

Delightful comedy...
So glad you enjoyed! I remember in the 80s, it was a REAL TREAT to find an old movie like this on tv --typically powered with ONLY an antenna for reception lol! We could barely see the picture because the reception was so bad, but WOW it was such fun to find these little gems! It's crazy how accessible all these films are now!!!!
Eddie C was a nightly figure at trocadero on sunset😺
At certain angles, the lead character reminds me of Sean Connery.
I can actually see that a lot too! 🎉
A very young one.
Top-Shelf flick! 😃
Glad you like it!
A mystery writer gets caught up in a real mystery when he accepts a bet to write a book at Baldpate, a remote inn.
Perfect description!!! And great Plot for a 1940s film!! 🫶

WOW! Can't seem to find that film ANYWHERE!!!! I will keep in in my Search file for the future, but for now, it seems to be unavailable to watch!!!
RKO made a lot of dandy tight little filums…spoiler alert: dis ain’t one of em🙀
