Thank you for all the videos and content - it really helps to learn and educate yourself! I have a question - my LO is 3.5 months old - he started army crawling in sprouts since he’s 3 months old, and rolled from back to belly when he was 2.5. Is there a time where it is too soon to do exercises with him as far as exposing him to an all-4 position (with my full support) or helping him adjust his legs? On one hand I really see him struggling and wanting to find a solution - and on the other I’m not a professional and had a thought that I might damage his knees or ligaments (although the progress so far has been all his) Would really love to hear your thoughts!
It sounds like your child is doing quite well. I cannot speak specifically to your child, because I have not evaluated your child. but in general, I think these exercises would likely be fine, but not necessary. I wish you and your child the very best.
Hello, I have a 8 month old baby who still has her hands clenched except when feeding or asleep. She opens her right hand when reaching but not so much on the left side. She can suck on both of them too although it’s a bit difficult for her to actually play with her toys. We’re still looking for a neurologist/neuro-dev pediatrician but for the meantime, do you have any hand therapies for babies who often have their hands in fists? She rarely uses them together as well (like playing with her hands for example). Hopefully we could get some insight from you as we’ve been watching your videos for a while now. Thank you so much. Blessed be.
I hope you can find a local therapist who can assist you. In the meantime, maybe this playlist will help you. Reaching/Grasping Skills ua-cam.com/play/PLAkJbMrHyKjNh_TJdZBEnMra-UR_NfvlL.html
hi, My 10month old nephew diagnosed with microcephaly and waisting. Right now, he still can't crawl. He can only roll using his head once on his on belly and can't control. He have arm streanght to and leg strenght as I observe but he still can't coordinate his leg and arms to crawl. We just relay on a public hospital for children for checkups and here in the Philippines . I hope you can suggest some PT program for him because we can't afford a PT
I hope my channel can be a resource for you. There are playlists about different skills that you might be interested in. Or, you could follow me as I help another child and maybe glean some good ideas for your child.
