Thank you I’ve been using this as a reference since February and have been practicing as I plan on trying for state this year so thank you for the amazing reference recording
I really hope to be doing this next year for my clarinet grade. I picked up the Bass this year so I hope I'll be good enough. This recording sounds amazing and gives me lots of inspiration
Playing this at solo & ensemble as a ninth grader, wish me luck, especially at the end, also holy shit that is the best tone i have ever heard on this beautiful instrument
Hi Sebastian, I've been following you on instagram for a while, and you've been such an inspiration to me! I'm playing this piece in my sophomore recital. This was a great recording, please make more!!!
For me this has to be the best tone around ! What instrument are you playing (including reed make and strength) now I know tone is not just down to the instrument but I am curious. I recently swapped from soprano clarinet as I think I have more of a feel for lower tones as I also play bass guitar ! I bought the instrument I could afford at the time which is a Boosey and Hawkes Regent with low Eflat. A student instrument I know but I am happy with it so far but as I may soon be joining a "classical" orchestra I may have to improve on the instrument !
talbotvanman, thanks for your comment. I play on a Buffet Prestige bass clarinet, with a B40 Vandoren and 3.5, 4 strenght reeds. Good luck with your new instrument and thanks for watching!
Very good job to the both of you. I've just messaged you here on UA-cam regarding your bass clarinet work, but it's possible it will be in your spam folder.
Thank you for your great performance! I also play the bass clarinet. I aim for a beautiful sound and performance like you. If you don't mind, please tell me which mouthpiece, ligature, and lead you are using.
Hi! That's great. Of course, you have to study with metronome..first very slowly and then increasing the tempo, always trying to not to rush. Good look!
Hello! This video is from many years ago..it took me a lot of study like always..and then suddenly, when you leave aside the part, you just realized that it's in your head.. Thanks for watching!
Good. I like Bozza's work. Do you know about the US Army band consisting of four saxophones? Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Baritone. They have excellent performances of Bozza's work. On YT.
Does this piece get down to low c, or can you get by with a low e flat bass? I've listened to many recordings and decided that I wanted to play this, but there's no way I'm getting my hands on a low c bass any time soon
So here's the deal...my teacher chose this for me and I am so overwhelmed. My recital is in two weeks and I can't listen to this without getting jealous of the speed toward the end. How did you get the Allegro Vivo part so fast? And also what instrument are you using? I want to get my own and stop using the schools but they're very expensive!
First of all, thanks for listening Elizabeth🙂 About the speed of the Allegro Vivo, I'm pretty sure that you can get that speed if you study consciously with metronome, slowly at first, and then increasing the speed gradually. About my bass, in this video is a Buffet Prestige model, but I normally play with both Buffet Tosca and Prestige. So good luck at your recital!!
I will take a college entrance exam on the bass clarinet this year. Since the assignment song is this song, listen carefully and try hard (ง ˙^˙)ง I'm Japanese so I'm not good at English. sorry!!
Gonna say it people who call bass clarinets black sacs phones are smooth brain the saxophone was in vented to be a louder version of a clarinet and the first ever bass clarinet was in France 10 years before the saxes invention
0:10 Allegro moderato
1:08 Lento
1:47 C
2:56 Allegro
3:38 Allegro Vivo
Bass clarinet is underrated as hell.
Now it's changing...😊🙏🏽
This is some of the best tone quality I have heard. The octave jumps, the articulation, everything. It is all so good! Great job
Thank you very very much Kim! 😊🙏🏽💚 This is now an old recording..😁
That was sick, dude. By far the best recording of heard of this piece.
thanks a lot for your comment, +Amir King!
Thank you I’ve been using this as a reference since February and have been practicing as I plan on trying for state this year so thank you for the amazing reference recording
Did you make it 👀
I plan on making it to state for solo and ensemble this year, definitely considering this piece!
I was listening to you tube while working and gosh, I went back to my browser to check who it was, it was different and standing out from the crowd :)

Am I too ambitious for trying to play this for my senior year in high school? We’ll find out. BEAUTIFUL video, though!
OMG this is honestly sooo amazing! 😯👌 I'm just super curious to what class is this solo exactly ??
Well in my district at least it’s a grade 1 (highest difficulty grade)
Thank you for your great performance! I also play the bass clarinet. I aim for a beautiful sound and performance like you. If you don't mind, please tell me which mouthpiece, ligature, and lead you are using.
Thank you for watching! 😊🙏🏽💚 My setup: Vandoren B40, hand made ligature, Vandoren reeds nro5 blue box. All the best!
SeBass
Thank you very much🙏✨✨
I have to play this for solo and ensemble is there any advice on those sixteenth note runs near the end?
Hi! That's great. Of course, you have to study with metronome..first very slowly and then increasing the tempo, always trying to not to rush. Good look!
Amazing!!!!!😍
Thank you Marcus! 😊🙏🏽

Ethan Campbell i see nothing lower than an e natural when i read through it
The lowest is E Natural below the staff and Highest is A above the staff.
Where did you buy music score?
Hi Bass Clarinet, a friend of mine bring it to me. It's easy to get.
Thanks for watching!
I would like to play this on Bb clarinet.
