I think yall are wrong about being able to sign him last year cheaper. He wanted a 4 year deal and cowboys wanted more years on the first contract. He wanted a 4 year deal because he knows the price goes up every year. I think he's wanted to play out his contract for that reason. Remember that was one of the reasons it took so long to get that deal done.
Exactly. And for all we know he probably signed for less years so he could leave since he included no tag in the contract. He still could've signed extensions had he taken the longer deal because it would've worked out perfectly for the team and him with the long term security and the cap restraints when tacking on the additional years
@eldub422 I'm not saying he means any harm. It could just be that he's taking his agents' advice. We'll never know. I'm not gonna hate on him for it.
I think Brooks flashes more or as much as Tobert. I just remembered at some point last year I was like... "Wow, this guy could be really good." I just have a feeling about Brooks like he could be a star.

If Trey Lance balls out in preseason then the cowboys will go with him because he's younger and cheaper and they would think he has more upside and they would get a 3rd round comp pick! I don't agree with that but that's why they traded for him
He'll be going against 3rd stringers and UDFAs. Lance better play like a HOF
@@gh990513 If he's starting other teams will play some of their starters in the preseason. You're thinking in terms of the final preseason game. Every team doesn't hold out all their starters like the Cowboys had been doing the past few years

Trey Lance 3rd pick in the draft hasn't balled out college or pros 3900 total pass yards in season 7. Just stop with the upside
