Congratulations on 1000 subscribers Donica. ❤ You deserve it because you have a great personality and all your videos are very watchable. Finished the new Riley Sagar book last weekend and loved it (although the "twist after twist" at the end had my head spinning!). It was also nice to read the happy ending in the epilogue (dont worry no spoilers here! Lol).
Aww, thank you for your continued support! I imagine I’m only talking to five people and you’re one of them! 😆🫣 Yes the epilogue was so sweet! Every character got their karma in the end good or bad. 👏
Yessss!!! So excited you got Gothic. I just got his new release in the mail today too. I think the new Sagar will be my next thriller after I finish Night Swim. Congrats on 1k to one of my faves 🎉🎉🎉 You so strongly deserve it ❤️❤️❤️
00:32 SAME!!!! DONICA those bookmarks you made are incredible you're so talented! I need to try making some! 7:28 omg AGAIN same!!!! "What trauma is that" lololol! 🤣🤣🤣 I havnt loved any Riley sager book I've read although home before dark and the house across the lake were probably my favorites! I just got the only one left and I am going in the same way you said, high hopes and low expectations haha!!! Also congratulations on hitting 1k!!!! 🥂🥳🎊
I can’t wait to hear what you think! I feel like I know what you’re thoughts will be, but it’s always great hearing you either roast a book or praise it! Haha
Yay!! It’s so beautiful right 🤩 I don’t think I’ve ever had a book with a glossy cover! I guess I should make it a habit to take more dust jackets off.
I’ve been trying to finish a Small Game by Blair Braverman. I absolutely love watching your videos because I start adding more books to read. I have Riley Sager on my TBR
Ooh how are you liking Small Game? I liked it, but it did leave me wanting a little more ✨ something ✨ Like more of the survival or the reality show.. idk but I love any thriller or mystery set in the woods so I was happy I read it! 😁
@@donicareads me too! The minute I heard it was taking place in the wood, I knew I had to read it this summer. So far I’m literally having to be told to stop reading but I want to know what happens next 😂😅
I did love the movie labyrinth and now I’m I interested in the book. I’m a fan of Guillermo del toro. I have locked out and I did like it. I will be reading the only one left soon once I’m done reading how to sell a haunted house.
I WISH I was a morning workout person. But I’m definitely a night workout girl. 😂 I feel some FOMO with the new Riley Sager release but I have just not enjoyed any of the previous books of his that I’ve read. 😢 I guess he is just not for me, but I am still intrigued with this new book! Hahah
Morning workouts and night workouts each take a level of mental resiliency that I mostly lack lmao But as long as we get it in 👏 I vowed to stop reading Sager books 2 books ago. I can’t stop. I’m too far in 😂
No way!!! You have GOT to watch it! Save it for Spooktober. I promise you will not be disappointed! It is such a good movie. It will give you all the feels.
You are killing Summerween! 🎃 How did you like Reckless Girls? I always see varying opinions of it. I’ve had it for awhile now and I should really read it soon before Summer ends 🏝️
@@donicareads It was fun trying to figure out what the hell was going on with these people.. the drama ! lol I could have used a bit more "thrilling" aspect but it was still a propulsive read! Nice short chapters and good pacing between "then" and "now" timelines imo. Definitely good choice for summer!
I was really disappointed with Reckless Girls 🤦🏽♀️ How are you liking Practical Magic?? I am interested in reading that series, but I hear mixed things
@@unhingedwoman I am about to start Practical Magic today ☺ no plans on reading the rest of the series though just this one. I've heard mixed things about the other books too and looks like most people suggest only reading Practical Magic.
Lmaooo “he took the one way that was disappointing”. So I really enjoyed Survive the Night, with that in mind, do you think I’ll enjoy The Only One Left?
Honestly, if you liked the story/pacing of Survive The Night then this one is a lot less tense, but you know I love a good caregiver story LOL I think this one felt more like Home Before Dark. We have 2 stories being told, a creepy house, and an unsolved mystery. (So my answer is.. I don’t think you’d hate it but I don’t know if you’d love it 🤪)

I seriously think Gothic will be a five star read. I have GOT to read Looking Glass Sound, but after that will be Gothic 🙌

So smart to make the bookmark out of the stickers! 👻
I will never pass up the opportunity 😆
oh my goodness! I've had Pan's Labyrinth on my TBR forever (same, love the movie!). I finally ordered it and it was just delivered yesterday! 😸
Yay!! It’s so beautiful right 🤩 I don’t think I’ve ever had a book with a glossy cover! I guess I should make it a habit to take more dust jackets off.
@@donicareads I know, so beautiful! I was trying to think of a way to display both the jacket and the hardcover.

Lock Every Door was one of the first books to get me into Thrillers 💕
Really?? Wow, that’s a great one to start with because that ending 🫢
19:20 I am also reading this book for Summerween. And I have very similar thoughts to you! Probably stronger 😂
Ahhhh I can’t wait to hear your thoughts! Especially because this is your first Riley Sager book 😱

Oooh How To Sell A Haunted House 👻 Pupkin is a menace to society 😆
Oh I'm so jealous of the custom bookmarks. The options for magnetic bookmarks in stores are so limited
If you want I can send you some I’ve made!! They aren’t perfect because I just whip them up for me to lose, but still cute 😅
