No one for the last 1400 years was able to determine the meaning of the “Sabah Haroof”. What does a word “Haroof” meaning has to do with dialects. Also the 2 gentlemen in that very hadith were Quraishis, so where the point of dialect comes from. Most interestingly Umar, who was there from the start, just came to know abt it few years before the Prophet Muhammad left us. Imagine that incident happened afterwards, good luck arguing with Umar. In short, this whole hadith is a conundrum and should be respectfuly left aside.

Explain why Umar didn’t know this even though he was with the Prophet all along every single day after accepting Islam. Also it was so stressful for Umar that he said he was loosing his Iman over this until he went to the Prophet and he resolved it. The way the Prophet supposedly resolved is a conundrum in itself. What if that incident didn’t happened in the life time of the Prophet than who would’ve resolved it for Umar. How many Muslims learned to read in these 7 dialects. Chapter: The clarification that the Qur’an was revealed in seven ahruf (modes of recitation), and clarifying its meaning Sahih Muslim 821 Ubayy b. Ka'b reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was near the tank of Banu Ghifar that Gabriel came to him and said: Allah has commanded you to recite to your people the Qur'an in one dialect. Upon this he said: I ask from Allah pardon and forgiveness. My people are not capable of doing it. He then came for the second time and said: Allah has commanded you that you should recite the Qur'an to your people in two dialects. Upon this he (the Holy prophet) again said: I seek pardon and forgiveness from Allah, my people would not be able to do so. He (Gabriel) came for the third time and said: Allah has commanded you to recite the Qur'an to your people in three dialects. Upon this he said: I ask pardon and forgiveness from Allah. My people would not be able to do it. He then came to him for the fourth time and said: Allah has commanded you to recite the Qur'an to your people in seven dialects, and in whichever dialect they would recite, they would be right.
