back in my childhood I had a much loved uncle who had a very long dining room and a set of henselite indoor bowls...When I visited him I loved playing the game and sometimes beating him...I have never forgotten how much I enjoyed the game..I have just purchased a set of the same bowls off ebay...A 2021 christmas present to myself....looking forward to testing myself playing the game once more and remembering my old uncle. 🙂
It's very similar to carpet bowls, in fact, it shares the same common ancestor. The difference is over the last century our mats have gotten smaller, and we don't have a block in the middle.
