Great video! I've had my Storm Bee for 15 months now. It's a blast but I'm a far less skilful rider than you. I'm envious of your wheelie skills. I'm British but live off-road in Mongolia in the mountains so I ride straight out of my door around my land (about 2 acres) and on the common land surrounding it. The terrain is steep, but rideable grassy, rock strewn mountains and forests. I added an Ultra Bee to my collection this month for much more technical mountain riding because the Storm Bee is too heavy and tall for really steep climbs. Or maybe I'm just not very skilful. The street legal Storm Bee (enduro model) is actually ~130kg (not 120kg) whereas the Ultra Bee is 85kg. So it's a big difference.
That sounds amazing! I started upgrading my light bee with a controller, but now I'm thinking of buying a UltraBee instead of a bigger battery for the LightBee.... How is the UltraBee and where did you get it if i might ask? :)
soooooo much better looking than the cake! To me those things always looked like an early prototype they built and went yea fuck it that'll do, just sell em like that.
Sam spinning in that grass for probably not the first time, moment later: "oh, there's actually a little track here isn't it, an outdoor one, let me blast a little lap of that!" Love you Sam.
This is defiantly the bike I need considering I don't register or put plates on anything I ride on the streets. Cops? no problem, just aim it off road... like I already do on my 170Nm bike built on an Iron Horse 2004 sgs pro downhill frame electric bike capable of 60mph, but I have it geared for 40 mph so I can climb super steep hills in Maine! Rocking a 24 inch wheel with a 1500 watt hub motor in the rear and a 3000 watt mid drive, with KKE front forks, 26 inch DMR down hill front wheel with a 20mm axel. Dual throttles, thumb throttle on the left for the hub motor and a full twist throttle for the mid drive motor on the right. Haaang Onnnn!
I’m a purist. Two wheels is two wheels, purely as simple as that. Still prefer combustion engine sounds but if it’s got 2 wheels, by God I’ll ride it and have fun doing it!
yeah that rocks ... how far did you get at this day with one pack ? The new Ultra Bee is the Wheel of Choice hope they get some legal street version , would be epic in the woods
Looks great! The obvious questions are how many miles of trail riding could you get in eco mode? How long does it take to charge? I'm interested in a dual sport bike to take camping and this looks promising.
It drives beautifully but with motorcross there is something beautifully about the sound of a punchy 2 stroke engine the grunt get up & go but this is super quick nice electric bike 👊💨
Can't wait to see updates on this as I've been wanting a Surron for a couple of years, for similar reasons those you mentioned. Would love to be able to do a little stealthy light enduro riding and ride on B roads to reach spots. Was unaware Surron had made a UK road legal bike that does more than 30mph, hence eager for your updates on it.
@@rider65 Don't care, I live in the UK, US prices are irrelevant to me. I want to do some light enduro; if I was gonna buy a petrol engined bike for that, I'd go Beta (or if I had more money, Husqvarna or KTM). But there's almost nowhere you can legally ride enduro in south-east England, so an electric bike - that doesn't make loads of noise and warn everybody within half a mile that you're riding where you're not supposed to be - is kind of ideal for what I want.
@@assortedpov Totally get it as I'm in the same area.. My problem is the range is crap of these electric bikes if you want to ride it somewhere, go off on the tracks and then ride back...the other thing is they are a lot heavier than a Beta or Ktm etc. I think its the future but they still have a way to go.
@@AMSRMX16 Completely agree about the range being shit and weight being heavy. But I don't see the range being such a prpblem for me - obviously there's very few places to legally ride enduro in south/east Kent, but there are plenty of places within 10 miles of my home where very few people go and where I could rip around on a quiet, discrete electric bike without anybody really noticing I'm doing it. That's the appeal of electric for me.
it seems that once again you get to live your dreams.....I can't wait to see what you will have in-store....good for you...and great for us viewers...cheers
Sweet bike but why did they put the brake pips facing upwards ? I take it they have never rode off road and flipped a bike. But ye sweet ride loads of power :)
These came out about 5 months ago they look the business for enduro bit expensive £8600 OTR price you will enjoy it i went for the 260 montessa enduro ice bike... About 45 miles range if you average 40mph in echo mode from 100% to 10% battery 90V 45Ah surron were going to bring out the 110V battery for production model that didn't happen
Storm bee vs cake? Seems like more of a fair comparison than the other Surron was. Looks pretty good wish they made a bike that had a higher weight capacity though. I suspect the range would really suffer with my weight anyway.
Very true. But I'm thinkin about gettin a bike like this because you can ride it anywhere and at any time, especially night time. With a 2 stroke thats impossible! As much as I love 2 strokes but they noisy as hell and theres always some cunt complaining or callin the cops..
Oh you only got the 90v version? I mean it is still fun but now the 104v 55 ah are basically the standard and cost the same as the 90v ones. At least where I live 😅 but nice to see it on your channel, hope to see it return from time to time 😁👍🏻
Can I have a go Sam lol is there anything you aren't good at I prefer seeing u on the trials 2 stroke and now this u look competitive matey awesome ripperoni
Hey Sam, thanks for finally wearing some proper boots. As an ex Moto-Crosser and enduro rider it always made me cringe seeing what you were wearing. Epic toys you have. Keep up the good work.
Love how excited Sam gets when he gets new stuff to ride
