    I hate the racing industry for treating most of their horses like garbage, but harnessed racing seems a little better since you don't have to worry about the horses ever getting shocked with a taser to get 'em to go faster. Also even if the horse really wasn't a racer, you could've always used him in dressage, or casual trail riding, showmanship, and in-hand-trail. Or even possibly western eventing.

      Emmy Harrop no it doesn’t! They are straping that horse’s face down and making him only trot. And how old is he?! Little yearlings and fouls are NOT meant to be doing that! That little girl is basically killing her horse.

    • @echotrash466
      @echotrash466 5 років тому

      @@tailsnatched4642 I didn't know about getting their faces strapped down, even tho it didn't look like that in the video. But to fair, pulling something is a lot easier to do than to have a rider on you, but I didn't know they were also being raced young, I don't really know that much about harnessed racing. I just know that the horses being raced, many if not all, are being treated like garbage and have most likely all been ridden very young.

    • @tailsnatched4642
      @tailsnatched4642 5 років тому +2

      Emmy Harrop hey, I don’t much either, but I think she said the horse was....two? Idk, but he is still young regardless. And that could REALLY damage his back and legs. I’m not saying the little girl is a horrible person who abuses horses, I just think she has no idea what she actually doing and should educate herself before putting her beloved horse through such pain. Thanks for agreeing ❤️🙈

    • @echotrash466
      @echotrash466 5 років тому +2

      @@tailsnatched4642 I completely agree. She might love her horse, but she might not know any better. If anything she's just learning from her dad, her dad might not be the best. Who knows, he didn't want the horse and wanted to sell him because he didn't sport a pedigree.

    It’s important to be careful with the horse racing thing, take the luck you’re given and don’t rush headfirst into anything because you succeeded before. Hopefully our four legged Steve Hartman will win a race sometime!
    The way her story came together though, her little horse and her dream, it seems like it was kind of... pre ordained, almost? She has a very set goal and it fell into place so easily with her horse, and the goal afterwards is certainly achievable. I’m gonna see if I can take a look at Got Faith’s pedigree, commenters are making me curious!

But real estate is very expensive college is very expensive she should have put that money aside for college in real estate especially if she wants a horse farm. Not to mention horse feed is going to be very expensive for the rest of the life of that horse. That’s really sweet. A really nice story. Although, the horse does have “a pedigree”. In fact, he has a pretty good pedigree. It’s just that somebody overlooked it when they sold the mare. They were very blessed to get that mare. The sire and dam of this horse were both pretty successful and won a fair chunk of change too. There’s a long list of really good horses and champions in the pedigree too. But just like many of the great horses, he had a family that people didn’t really notice was good. So glad this young lady was able to get this little colt and make him happy so he would perform really well. It goes to show what happiness can do for a person and an animal.

Green screens cover these scenes up at racing. So yes horse racing can be considered abusive but this depends on what type it is.

    Why do so many people not see how cruel horse racing really is? Thousands of horses are injuried and/or killed every year. Just because thy have no choise because they cant say no or stop it.
    I think it is a very sad video because I know how most of this horses end up after they are not winning any more.
    Just to make it clear, I am not blaming or hating on the girl or her parents, they probably dont know any better.

    No wtf why are you racing a horse the other owners out there are horrible. She’s so sweet but the other owners are horrible. Hopefully we can stop horse racing and have good owners like her but not the others race horse owners.
