FIXING THE PHYLLOSTACHYS NIGRA BAMBOO (BLACK BAMBOO) & PICKING VEGETABLES IN THE BACK TO EDEN GARDEN

The contained bamboo in my yard just needed to be set free so I did just that .I removed the barrier so the bamboo can spread freely . Also at the end of this video I will be picking some of the first vegetables out of my Back to Eden garden. Slowly but surely progress is coming along.

I get all my wood chips, straw, leaves, and grass clippings for free. That is the main foundation for my garden.

I will be canning some. I know I intended to can some okra and maybe some cucumbers. I will have some asparagus beans that are coming of size. Depending on the harvestable quantity I may can some of them too. The asparagus beans are interesting. They should be a foot + in length and purple. It'd be kinda cool to slap some of those in a jar.

Nice Video. However I think you waisted a lot of money with putting the root barrier in. If you mow the lawn around the bamboo anyway the bamboo will not spread. Keep up the good work.

I agree totally. It was my first one in the ground. I have 11 other species with no barrier. Yes I’ll be mowing and knocking them down to keep them controlled. Thanks for the comment
