I been saying the same thing in many other fights i saw on youtube, those electronic sensors are killing the dynamic of the fight...tkd was better back then....people cant take criticism, but its true...shit is boring n trash now...

It's like fencing now, I did WTF Tae Kwon Do back in the 80's, full contact, went for a KO, no mats on the floor, no head guards, no electronic tippy tappy, body armour had only just been introduced. It's like a game of chess, not a Martial Art or even a tournament fight! Watered down beyond belief!
yeah I did TKD in the 90s.....only hard kicks counted not some sloppy slappy tappy looking kicks here....It was fast and it was beatiful....This just looks....awkward...

And the only reason the electronics aren’t responding well with points is because roundhouse kicks are harder and are mor easily detectable
Front leg kicks have lesser momentum which means less force and not so easily detected
The use front leg kicks just to be safe
And TKD is more of a sport than martial art now, so if you want some martial arts go watch Muay Thai or something else and don’t go clicking on a video and hating on it
TKD was meant to a brutal Martial Art. It later transformed into a combat sport. But still an exciting and dangerous combat sport. This shit is no better than bowling. Just a game. No combat. I agree that this is not a martial art or combat sport and that it's just a game. But that's because it's not real TKD. Real TKD is a martial art and a combat sport.

Does anyone know why most fighters now dont have their chest protectors tightened. almost everyone looks like they have loose chest protectors on. im not saying do it extremely tight to the point you cant breathe but most fighters now look like their protectors are loose
It's a trick to make the sensor less sensitive (less chance to match to be precise, as the sensitivity is static). When you wear it loose, the protector will move later than your body. This decreases the precision of opponent's kick because they target based on your body movement.

Actually, no. Traditional TKD had even more flaws with regard to scoring. Not once or twice you see unfair judgement, sometimes done collectively, simply because the judges hate an athlete (or playing money behind the curtain). Paper based or DSS, all the same. PSS eliminates that human driven problems, making everything as objective as possible. It just the system is not perfect, there are calculation holes that are well abused by teams and athletes. But at least it's clean now, much less to no protests at all.
Going back to DSS or paper based is clearly not a solution, if your house has water leaking problem, you don't solve it by moving back to live in a cave, do you?
20/20 armor has made a good progress lately, just hope it would be accepted as the new standard and you can have fun to watch matches again.

Totalmente de acuerdo contigo. Por eso el karate es más visto. Han sabido hacerlo deportivo sin quitarle dureza. En cambio con el taekwondo han hecho un juego de niños
te invito a pararte en una escuela de taekwondo donde haya por lo menos alguien que haya participado en una olimpiada nacional y tu no durarías ni 1 round vs un cinta verde, lee siempre le ha ganado a los mexicanos incluso uno se rindió y no término el combate

Tkd nowadays is so boring, does this still kicking sport?? or touching sport😒😒, I have do tkd for 4years, After any battles im too tired to walk (compare) that’s mean 80%-90% of power i’ve used(after practice many months i want to use all what i got to test myself in math, for worth of times and power.do it not only for scores!!) but I’ve to stop because education(college) in overseas, if not that, people like me may improve tkd to be better than now

The rule changes and the new electronic armors have defanged a once awesome fighting sport. TKD 20 years ago was powerful... today it's just slapping and flicking your feet onto your opponent's armor for points. The gold level athletes look so weak. They're probably aren't but the techniques they execute make them look weak. This Lee guy looks like a joke. So you mean to tell me that a foot slapper like him is the best in TKD?
