Helpful video, thanks Mark
Thank you.
Can I add to just sump (no refugium because sump is to small) and if yes, wouldnt they make their way up threw the return and not have to take a rock out and put in tank that has them on it like he said to do!
If you feed them in the fuge will the pods reproduce?
Do copepods ever appear naturally in a tank? That happened to me unless they somehow survived coral dip and hitchhiked on a frag! I am thinking of adding these for my hawkfish. I only feed pellets and have to throw them down with some force to get to him as he is not a good swimmer and he misses more than he gets! Tired of them hitting sandbed and possibly causing high nitrates!
Ha yes. My fish miss food and it ends up as crab treats. I had a number of copepods hitchhike on some live rock I bought from a local fish store.
If you have them in your refugium or sump and feed phyto do you have to feed corals as well? Is this going to be enough for them? It sounds like a no brainier if it is because feeding corals can be a hassle and also raise nitrates! If it is not then I would fear adding phyto and coral food as well because combing both would seem like it wouuld really raise nitrates!
So what’s the best pods that populate in your tank ?
Apex
And then your nutrient levels start to go up. No thanks.
Things are ridiculously expensive considering the ease they are grown. I'm done getting scammed by these asshats. I'm starting my own pod culture. It's the only thing anyone can do to feed their fish without going broke.
This is why you are not having luck keeping viewers people don't want to buy a product every time 👎
Grow them if you don't want to buy them every time. Just like feeder fish. 🤷♂️
