Hey, so a couple of corrections: 1. Apparently the Library Lizard is in fact called that in the game's files. I couldn't find that info online so thank you commenters for debunking me lol. Now we just have to figure out what happened to him in Deltarune... 2. Don't listen to my talk about real life birds. There are in fact plenty of very colorful non-tropical birds, they just don't live near me lol. 3. Chilldrake is Snowy's "bro" (as in friend) not brother. He's still older though. 4. The demon teen actually mentions Gerson if you talk to her twice, confirming she was in his class with the fire girl.
I always thought that the nice cream guy was around the same age as PizzaPants(BurgerPants). From the classes we see it looks like each class has 9 students right? You would think Asriel’s would be the same,
The library lizard could still be Berdly's dad since even if unusual it wouldn't be first time seeing couples of different monster "species" (like Undyne and Alphys)
i feel like toby fox saying "people think Purple Guy is a reference to *something* and i have no idea what they're talking about" is like. 100% a joke. solely based on the fact that like. who wouldn't know what five nights at freddy's is. especially not Another Indie Developer
I think Toby is joking there but I legitimately think there is something up with Ice-E and the joke for the character operates as a distraction from any importance he may have. I don't think Ice-e's the Knight but he comes up enough a lot and most notable, Noelle seems to fear him and has had sightings of him.
Berdly's colouring is _exactly_ like a real-world blue-jay, nothing unusual or unrealistic about it, a very common bird. And that red bird looks like a typical elderly Cardinal, would be brighter when young but fades a bit to the shade of a Robins breast when they get old, again a very common bird.
You can tell I was in Deltarune brainrot mode because that does sound pretty dumb listening back lol. I definitely crossed some wires in my brain because what I meant to say is that generally FEMALE birds don't have flashy colors like that...
When I saw the "HIS MOM?" text pointing to Berdly in the thumbnail, my initial thought was "Wait, Berdly is someone's mom?" I... may be a bit sleep-deprived.
21:02 oh my god this made me realise that the general consensus is that alvin has pink HAIR, not a headscarf wrapped around his head babushka style 😭. he looks far less friendly now that i can see its hair. upped alvin knight theory by 30% at least
I thought it was a scarf too for a long time, but given the fact that his eyebrows are also pink I think it's safe to say that it's hair. The fact that a pink haired turtle is a potential candidate for the main antagonist is why I love this game so much
I have a bunch of notes and additional information. Apologies if you already knew some of this stuff but didn't want to mention it. If Flannel Demon and Fuku Fire were in Asriel's class, then it was probably taught by Gerson, considering Flannel and Fuku talk about Gerson. He might've been using the abandoned classroom, or just used Alphy's class since she was brought on as his replacement. In the files the librarby lizard is called "spr_npc_liblizard" so he does seem to be lizard. I always saw him as a hedgehog... It's not confirmed that Ms. Boom runs the librarby, in fact I think she probably doesn't considering Berdly says he's late for his shift with Ms. Boom and then he *leaves* the Libarby, never to be seen again for the chapter.
Ah, I was wondering if they had names in the files but couldn't find anything about it. Still a mystery what happened to him in Deltarune at least haha.
2 things I haven't seen anyone mention: 1. Aaron looks like he's wearing some kind of Sherlock Holmes-esque detective outfit(the pop culture one, not the actual book depictions). Anyway that seems to link up with Undertale Aaron's yellow text in the Pacifist ending, where he becomes a paranormal investigator. 2. Whenever I look at Terry, I just can't help but think it's a reference to a UA-camr called Merg. He looks exactly like Merg's profile picture, even down to the shade of red.
I read the part of the comment that said “deltarune theory video” right when he said “deltarune theory video” while watching this deltarune theory video
18:53 Actually we have seen them apart from Goner Kid The donut guy can be found driving the car in 3 places, I forget where and if in Ch 1 but you can see them in the traffic jam and later outside Ice-E’s for Ch2 Ficus Licker can be found within the Cafe in Ch2 And we can find Clam Girl at the spot where you meet Onionsan but only if you did not meet Onionsan in Ch1 (or started a new file in Ch2) They look like Clam Girl when not talking but use the Clam Guy Sprite when talking As for Goner Kid technically Monster Kid could be that but it’s a stretch Actually for all but the bird there is a non goner variant that can be found in Undertale (Clam Girl would be the goner variant so Clam Guy is the not) Now I noticed something strange The Bird who doesn’t have the non goner variant and Clam Girl who becomes Clam Guy (Clam Girl becomes a Goner if you’re on the switch or later so for this comment Clam Girl is the goner), these two are both cryptic while the ones that have not goner variants are like they were in Undertale, fun joke NPC’s The bird is cryptic by not letting us read the rest of the upstairs books that are likely lore relevant while the Clam Girl who becomes Clam Guy is cryptic as they talk about how yesterday (in yellow text) they waited on a weird circle (also yellow text) and something weird (yep, also yellow text) showed up. Then saying “Of course, it’s not yesterday anymore, so too bad!” It hints towards what you need to do to meet Onionsan and about how you need to have done it the day before which while not phrased in a completely sketchy way, is still unusual for someone to highlight Just something I noticed about the NPC’s and Goner Variants
What was unsettling to me by the end was you being kinda freaked over the stare of Purple guy "Barney" sprite that you didn't notice that PG "Suit wearing/office" sprite eye was off center. So hes not looking directly at you... but he is looking towards the office...
While I wouldn't say that Purple Guy is the Knight(mostly cuz it disqualifies literally every character we've met so far), I do think it would be cool if he was some Dark World manifestation/Gaster influence. Your comparisons to IMAGE_FRIEND is one example, but I think he could even be a Goner. His outfit covers every inch of his body, possibly to hide unnaturally gray skin. Despite unnerving the people around him, he is still able to slip into places without issues, which to me implies that when he isn't being focused on he is easily missed, but the second you actually look at him and process his presence you start to pick up on what's wrong with him. If he did end up being a Goner/is a plot point, it could serve as a way to explain what the Goners are. And if I really want to go off the deep end with wild speculation, I could say that his enthusiastic lines of "Ice me up, Boss" and "Put me in, coach" could be him referring to being put into the Deltarune reality by a higher being like Gaster in order to follow his orders.
For the purple guy stuff, William Afton, the purple guy in FNAF, does wear a metal animatronic rabbit costume, which I could see one possibly describe as knight or knight-like armor, as knight typically wear metal armor.
Unrelated, but i just thought of a thing to alvin not having a sprite dialogue. Undyne doesnt have talk sprite all the way until she removes helmet. So what if alvin gonna get revealed, he gonna have cool redisign with a helmet or smth to change face, and then he gonna have sprite.
I think the bottom of the nurse monster sprite is like the bottom of a nurse uniform. Like whatever the equivalent of nurse skirt would be for that kind of monster.
I like to think that the warrior is just a member of ice-e's species or whatever the character was based on. he's able to move his mouth and still looks the same when he's hospitalized
24:22 i love the idea that the mayor can just. Decide that 😂 Like imagine that the mayor of your town was like " i made illegal to wear skinny jeans cuz i don't like them LMAO" /lh
Funny enough, I always assumed the Library Lizard was an Alphys-type monster, i.e. a vaguely dinosaur-esque spiky monster. Heck, they may even be siblings or cousins or something.
honestly i believe that monster teenager from kris’s classroom is goner kid instead of monster kid if you look at the back of their head they resemble goner kid more than monster kid
Could be true! But to be fair it does seem like the other goner analogues haven't been replaced with their goner counterparts. For example, donut guy is still that version of himself and not the goner version, and the same can be said for "Ficus Licker" who is seen in the diner.
As a slight counter point, Alphys is a lizard-ish creature with glasses and she's a scientist, so the idea isn't out of unfounded. Plus, if you want to talk about not fitting into Snowdin's climate, well, just look at Grillby. Also this is going off of pure memory so I may be wrong, but I think the fire girl is named Fuku Fire? Again, off of memory, but I'm a huge Undertale nerd so. EDIT: Another thing I just remembered is that there are multiple different colors of Snowdrake (and maybe others) that you can see after the ending of the game, so it's possible the same thing happens in Deltarune. There are also multiple times in Undertale where you see multiple of the same enemy on screen at once, even though they are different monsters. My guess is that something similiar is happening in Deltarune.
As a side note though, I never really realized until now how there aren't many naked monsters in Deltarune. It's interesting because it shows how they were affected by human culture.
I enjoy seeing new monsters in DR because it also makes UT's world itself feel a lot larger (which I feel that the game didn't do well outside of the showcase of walking past new home while going to Asgore's castle). Especially those implied or directly stated to exist in outside content or later additions to the game like Rudy and his family which only are mentioned in the alarm clock stuff and the xbox version.
The berdly family thing is actually really huge surprised I haven’t heard anyone else talk about this yet Add purple guy knight to the other crackpot theories like ice-e knight. But seriously though I SWEAR Ice-E is important! Ice- e is too important to be a random brand
Your photo explanation reminded me of a prank we played on my father and stepmother. During their wedding reception they had put out disposable cameras on all of the tables for guests to take pictures. There was also another wedding party in the second banquet hall. So my brother and I went over, got some of the guests at that wedding to pose for some photos (they thought the idea was hilarious) and then put the camera back in the pile. When the photos came back we spent a good hour messing with them and asking how on Earth they could have forgotten their own guests. 😅 I should probably explain that this was 1998. Probably wouldn't be able to pull it off today.
Honestly the Fire Elemental girl and the Ghost/Tree girl being out of school is another tiny piece of evidence that Deltarune taking place a few years comparatively later. Monster Teen was already a sign of this, but they are extra evidence and I think it shows that Kris' age in comparison to Frisk's can be used for dating things regardless of whether they are the same person. Frisk was a small child in Undertale, possible elementary school age or even younger, and the two girls were in school. Now Kris is in what seems like High School, and enough time has passed for them to graduate.
19:07 We do see the Goner holding a piece of Gaster in the traffic pileup, and in there he's complaining about how he can't move his car with Undyne blocking the road. He's called Scared Donut Guy in the game files, supposedly. 19:55 The arm can move up and down by a lot, so arm placement isn't super great evidence here.
I think "scared donut guy" is in fact holding a donut in the traffic jam, not a piece of Gaster, given that he's a sprite recycled from Undertale and he holds a donut there haha. There is a goner of the same species as him, but I do not think they're intended to be the same guy.
@@guiltyflygon I messed up my wording here, what I meant was that we see the _non-Goner version_ of the Goner holding a piece of Gaster in the traffic pileup, just in his car and not holding anything. On the topic of your second sentence, I don't think any Goner is meant to literally be the same person as whoever they resemble.
2:30 There might be a comment already saying this but I can't seem to see any; Chilldrake isn't Snowy's older brother, just a friend. Snowy's father calls Snowy "my son" in a way that implies he's the only one, and in the family reunion post-true pacifist Chilldrake is absent. Chilldrake's check text also says "Looking for his friend Snowy." However, we do know that Chilldrake (or some Chilldrakes?) is older, as one of them as an overworld NPC post-true pacifist muses about the invention of new ages like "twenty-teen", implying they're 18 or 19 - which would put them in the same year as Burger/Pizzapants in any case. Ah, also, 3:15 - we actually know those two were taught by Gerson, meaning they are at least older than Kris, as Alvin tells us they were never taught by him. The purple skateboard monster actually has dialogue about it in chapter 1, but most people don't talk to her. The line is "* Dude, remember when we used to skip the first hour of class to come here? * YOU were fine, but I almost had to repeat the year 'cause of it... * Those crepes were MAD worth, though! Delinquency is the best condiment! * Dude, if we didn't bring Gerson our leftovers, I bet I would have failed HARD..." Oh, also, Dess was probably in Asriel's graduating class. Though, probably not when he graduated..
Dess would've been in Asriel's class for sure, but probably not his graduating class as you mentioned given she disappeared before then. I always forget to talk to these NPCs twice in these games otherwise I would have had way better evidence lol. Thanks for that.
You saying Asriel would have to be disguised as the Icee guy to be the knight, reminded me that he and Burgerpants are apparently friends, and he works at the pizza joint. Does this mean anything? No. But it’s something!
Personally can't really see the library lizard as a bird tbh, always looked like Alphys' cousin or something for me Totally could see the red one being related to Berdly tho
11:40 Hmm, IIRC you would get Aaron to leave in UT by convincing him to flex until he "flexed so hard he floated away"... Kinda sounds like his muscles were "inflated" with magic, hence why he could levitate _and_ why he has no "muscles" in DR, he never had them in the first place, they were fakes!
I always saw Nice Cream guy as being a bit older but given the Deltarune school seems to have people of a range of ages in each class due to... lack of funding? you're probably right.
The Big Jaws character is likely meant to be the same between both universes as the Grillby section of one of the newsletters mentions they have a lucrative job in the medical industry
@@guiltyflygon it was the first spring newsletter under the section titled “Grillby’s Rouges’ Gallery” it has some pretty interesting stuff! It even talks about the red bird monster a bit
@@guiltyflygonit’s from the first spring newsletter in the “Grillby’s Rouges’ Gallery” section, it also has some other interesting stuff (alluding to the Holiday sisters, talking about the red bird monster, and the first time Sans came into Grillby’s and ordered “the usual”
After watching a undertale yellow play through i thought about what a hypothetical kanako amalgamate fight would be like and the gaster follower bird guy being a part of it was something i always head cannoned
very cool theories! especially the theory about berdly's family stood out to me, it'll be wild if that's true but i could totally see it! i'm wondering now if it could be of note that the hand secretary's colors changed from red to cyan specifically. it could be an indication that the kris being the patience soul theory holds weight. and now that i'm thinking about it... purple guy's body definitely appears to be some kind of full suit crafted out of purple fabric, and a very spacious suit at that, with the sort of square ICE-E head on top. underneath the purple suit their hands are very glove-like, and the pose that they're hitting in the mayor's office is almost an exact replica of a pose that papyrus hits I think? (if not in undertale, then in the art book at least). purple guy even has sort of bulgy cartooning eyes, and a huge grinning mouth--we've seen papyrus make that kind of expression before! not to mention that he's know to yell, and purple guy is pretty loud. papyrus knight evidence? unrelated, but i think it would be cool to see a video about the similarities between a few of the undertale hard mode enemies & the main party of deltarune! i've been looking into it lately and its quite the rabbit hole to get sucked into
I just realised that Deltarune has a war crime. The nurse at 8:40 has a red cross, which is considered a war crime. (similar to the among us med bay situation)
An interesting thing about chilldrake, atleast as far as I remember, is that you can encounter him multiple times in Undertale even if you already killed him before, unlike Snowdrake where once you kill him he’ll stop showing up. This either implies that Snowdrake has several brothers, or he has one immortal brother.
Right, but unlike the other goners they didn't have another character of the same species in the games for reference until now, which is what I meant 😅
@@guiltyflygon Neither did the goner holding the head, who also appears in deltarune. You also mention maybe getting to see goner kid's counterpart; but monster kid is part of a few major story beats in Undertale… I may need to play through a few more time… or more, because RNG to double check other details.
The purple guy Knight thing is a really funny idea, would love to see it be true XD, my personal theory is that's the CEO of ice'e', yet no body cares enough about their job or position to even realize it. Or better yet... Ice'e himself.
The "Librarby" bird monster feels a bit strange to me because of how they tell us to look at the books while simultaneously blocking us from doing that exact thing. Kris doesn't want to look at the book about how to take care of humans, but for us players it's potentially all going to be very interesting and informative. it could be that they're knowingly making a meta joke about how much we want to find out more about the world we've been thrust into, which I don't think is too unlikely when their UNDERTALE counterpart is a Gaster Follower. Speaking of the "Librarby" I always thought that the UNDERTALE "Library Lizard" is a bird as well!
Apparently the guy is actually called library lizard in the game files, so our head cannon is dead lol. I definitely think the non-goner bird is probably going to continue to be sus for a while haha.
Yeah I think it's safe to say it's going to be a running joke from now on, that the bird is going to move back a space every chapter so we can read an extra book. Toby really knows how to tease the fans
Going through it right now and this was so comforting to pop up in my notifications. Thank you for making long form deltarune content to heal my brain.
I have always had way too much belief in Purple Guy becoming important later on (by which I mean I think there's any chance at all even though it's insane)
10:10 they probably are the same monster, in the official grillby comic that released in the newsletter, we can read that the big mouth npc from grillbys has a career in the medical industry.
We already saw Donut Man in Deltarune and he's as unfortunate as ever. Really it's understated how creepy it is that the Gaster Followers look like almost exact copies of unimportant, pre-existing joke NPCs. What's also creepy is that, now that we know what the blue library bird's normal form looks like, we can see that he appears to be screaming as a Gaster Follower
You should read the dialogue of said npcs you are talking about. Chilldrake is NOT related to Snowy, they are the same species but they aren’t related at all. They are friends of Snowy, yes friends because there are multiple Chilldrakes. The Aaron in the diner’s gimmick in Deltarune is that he is skinny and hasn’t bulked up. If you checked his dialogue he’d mention how he really appreciates how the mouse hat guy has bulked up for the winter, insinuating how Aaron isnt bulked up himself but probably wants too. Terry is a different person from Jerry, once again they just share a species The Warrior is a different character, Oni doesn’t seem like the type of person to mess with childeish things because he is shown to be a stick and a no fun type of person. Toby was joking about not knowing who the purple guy was. He was just joking lol. Also all these monsters WERE in Undertale cause they all lived somewhere else.
I think you're taking this from a different angle than I intended. I'm not so much looking at these changes from the perspective of the universe itself, but rather from a game design perspective. WHY does Terry exist? Why not just subvert Jerry's role in Undertale by making Jerry cool now? WHY is Aaron skinny when that requires an entire re-sprite for the character? And by asking those questions we can come to interesting answers like, for example, people in this comment section have theorized that Aaron's muscles used to be powered by magic, (sort of like an inflatable muscles gag) and thus because Deltarune has no magic he's now skinny. That explains why Toby would go through the effort to re-sprite the character, as it's meant to implicitly say something about how not having magic has affected the monster's lives. You are very right about Chilldrake though, that's on me lol. The whole brother thing might have been from a fan game or something, not sure how I came to that conclusion.
@@guiltyflygonMost of the changes can be chalked up to alternate universe meta-humor. Aaron is a skinny academic type now because it's an alternate universe. Pathetic Jerry is now cool Terry because it's an alternate universe. They're just little references for fans of Undertale to pick up on, I'd be surprised if those specific cases went any deeper than that.
Possibly a correction, Aaron is based on a homestuck character, equius, who's personality is being strong and horses. You pointing out the completely new sprite and bringing up the possibility of an opposite personality just because of the accessories might be incorrect and instead could just be furthering the reference. This is a stupid thing to bring up regardless, but equius also has glasses. hope your day is good... Edit: Holy. my comment got a heart Edit 2: Editing removes the heart :(
30:21 it would be incredibly meta considering that noelle probably searches for any news regarding "December Holiday" 4:48 so- ive always headcanoned that bird as berdlys mother- im assuming other people do aswell- that npc on the left though- i dont think thats a bird- ive always seen them as an alphys lookalike
The green lizard-bird character you were talking about in regards to Berdly actually is a lizard , that's not just a wiki thing. The sprite's name in the game files is "spr_npc_liblizard". so yes, they are a lizard
My favorite thing about bird face is that despite other hometown npcs getting unique names, their sprite is simply named 'spr_normalnpc', like yeah thanks Toby totally nothing going on with this guy lol.
I'm confused about what you mean. That Grillby also should struggle living in a cold place, or that Grillby should stop the lizard from struggling in a cold place?
What's this about a character named Alvin with pink hair? The only pink I see is a highlight in a cat's hair and an old woman turtle wearing a scarf on her head...
what if the game of Undertale was a D&d game where Asriel GM'd a game where Kris is the only other player... and Determination is just Kris throwing a tantrum. the redesigns are just Asriel trying to make characters for the game out of the denizens of deltarune lightworld
@@guiltyflygon we gotta remember, the characters aren’t one-to-one with undertale.. ..gerson’s dead in deltarune, so characters like the amalgams could be alive instead?? Who knows
@@victort2 You're right, but we should remember the graveyard does include several of the other amalgamate parts (Shyren's sister, the head dog, and Snowy's mom) so it's clear some of it carried over. The ones that don't have graves are all generic monsters, so it may not mean anything but... It could imply these monsters never "fell down" in Deltarune due to the different circumstances, or that perhaps there's another larger cemetery somewhere nearby, perhaps behind Undyne's police tape, which could have implications for "Dess is not dead" theories.
Is he? I can't find any evidence of that online but admittedly the Thundersnail area would be my blind spot if I were to have one in Undertale. Are you sure you're not thinking of the square headed green guy who is in the car in Deltarune?
Eh, I never connected ICE-E Barney to FNAFs Purple Guy 'cause frankly they look nothing like each other. Other than being purple literally everything else about them couldn't be more different, and he's the same purple as _Suzie_ who is much more similar to "purple guy" in terms of figure at least (though still pretty far off) 🤷 I figure he's either a relative of Suzie's or at least of the same or similar monster-kind. If he's related she may not comment on it because she either doesn't recognize him with the mask, is too embarrassed to say anything, or simply doesn't actually know him to recognize (we don't really know much about Suzie's family after all or what relation he may even be) Edit: actually, come to think of it, it's interesting how similar Suzie and this guy particularly look like Barney, considering Alphys is already a bit reminiscent of another Barney character 🤔 probably nothing though
I'm not sure if he's a similar purple to Susie necessarily given that he's probably in a mascot suit given the patches on it, but there's definitely room for a humorous connection there later haha.
I think you're getting a little too hung up on the NPC design changes when I think it's just meant to show off that this is another world and the general time frame is a few years after UT, so people look a bit different. I am extremely compelled by purple guy being a character of interest now though.
Eh, the hangup is mostly intentional in order to have something to talk about. That said, there are a good amount that had no changes at all, so it did make these ones stick out when I arranged them all in a row.

Actually for all but the bird there is a non goner variant that can be found in Undertale (Clam Girl would be the goner variant so Clam Guy is the not)
Now I noticed something strange
The Bird who doesn’t have the non goner variant and Clam Girl who becomes Clam Guy (Clam Girl becomes a Goner if you’re on the switch or later so for this comment Clam Girl is the goner), these two are both cryptic while the ones that have not goner variants are like they were in Undertale, fun joke NPC’s
The bird is cryptic by not letting us read the rest of the upstairs books that are likely lore relevant while the Clam Girl who becomes Clam Guy is cryptic as they talk about how yesterday (in yellow text) they waited on a weird circle (also yellow text) and something weird (yep, also yellow text) showed up. Then saying “Of course, it’s not yesterday anymore, so too bad!”
It hints towards what you need to do to meet Onionsan and about how you need to have done it the day before which while not phrased in a completely sketchy way, is still unusual for someone to highlight
Just something I noticed about the NPC’s and Goner Variants
Goner Kid is most likely a version of MK from a timeline where he doesn't exist... aka what they talk about.
@@JadeTheProtogen1nah I definitely think Goner kid might be MK's sister
@@chimuetisbell doesn't make any sense, mk's sister is 100% alive/is mentioned, goner kid talks about nobody remembering him/not even existing.
What was unsettling to me by the end was you being kinda freaked over the stare of Purple guy "Barney" sprite that you didn't notice that PG "Suit wearing/office" sprite eye was off center. So hes not looking directly at you... but he is looking towards the office...
I always thought the rabbit girl was walking her pet. And that was the joke. But after checking it he is her brother. Huh weird.
Afton knight theory is a thing now, it's too late to go back.
@@aimfulRenegade Hell yeah lol
i feel like toby fox was joking in that livestream lmao
Dont forget the goner who has gaster's face is in a car on ch 1 or 2 after the dark world segment on a car on the road with the library and hospital
24:22 i love the idea that the mayor can just. Decide that 😂
Like imagine that the mayor of your town was like " i made illegal to wear skinny jeans cuz i don't like them LMAO" /lh
Funny enough, I always assumed the Library Lizard was an Alphys-type monster, i.e. a vaguely dinosaur-esque spiky monster. Heck, they may even be siblings or cousins or something.
honestly i believe that monster teenager from kris’s classroom is goner kid instead of monster kid
if you look at the back of their head they resemble goner kid more than monster kid
The berdly family thing is actually really huge surprised I haven’t heard anyone else talk about this yet
Add purple guy knight to the other crackpot theories like ice-e knight. But seriously though I SWEAR Ice-E is important! Ice- e is too important to be a random brand
He’s probably going to have to do with Noelle’s arc concidering she’s scared of him and yet uses ice powers herself.
I should probably explain that this was 1998.
Is this a point of contention still? I've been operating off this assumption for a while haha.
@guiltyflygon not a super big one as far as i can tell? It's just extra info to confirm that even more
16:35: Out of context Rudy without the bed looks like he's wearing a wedding gown.
I would love to see more of berdly and his family since i feel he has a little more room to grow

There might be a comment already saying this but I can't seem to see any; Chilldrake isn't Snowy's older brother, just a friend.
* Dude, if we didn't bring Gerson our leftovers, I bet I would have failed HARD..."
Oh, also, Dess was probably in Asriel's graduating class.
Personally can't really see the library lizard as a bird tbh, always looked like Alphys' cousin or something for me
Totally could see the red one being related to Berdly tho
Seems like he's actually named liblizard in the files, so yeah, that's bunk lol.
That could be the explanation lol. Especially seems how he's not flying anymore.
ANCHOR ARMS!
I think the line is "aaron flexed himself out of the room," but that is a fun idea still
I think that for the Asriel classmates thing, I would also consider > Nice Cream Guy
Now this is the kind of obscure knowledge I like to see haha. Do you remember which newsletter that was?
I'm just glad the library monster has a non-goner appearance now, because their art in Undertale looked like they were practicing some "self-love".
very cool theories! especially the theory about berdly's family stood out to me, it'll be wild if that's true but i could totally see it!
i'm wondering now if it could be of note that the hand secretary's colors changed from red to cyan specifically. it could be an indication that the kris being the patience soul theory holds weight.
and now that i'm thinking about it... purple guy's body definitely appears to be some kind of full suit crafted out of purple fabric, and a very spacious suit at that, with the sort of square ICE-E head on top. underneath the purple suit their hands are very glove-like, and the pose that they're hitting in the mayor's office is almost an exact replica of a pose that papyrus hits I think? (if not in undertale, then in the art book at least).
purple guy even has sort of bulgy cartooning eyes, and a huge grinning mouth--we've seen papyrus make that kind of expression before! not to mention that he's know to yell, and purple guy is pretty loud. papyrus knight evidence?
unrelated, but i think it would be cool to see a video about the similarities between a few of the undertale hard mode enemies & the main party of deltarune! i've been looking into it lately and its quite the rabbit hole to get sucked into
Purple Guy being Papyrus? Now that would be hilarious 🤣
when you said "that explains a lot" about berdlys mom maybe being a drunk my first thought was that you were talking about fetal alcohol syndrome
Yeah, no, just abandonment issues... Still and though.
I just realised that Deltarune has a war crime. The nurse at 8:40 has a red cross, which is considered a war crime.
(similar to the among us med bay situation)
is it a red cross? i think it sthe red plus symbol for hospitals if i be honest. also WHY is that a war crime again?
It's not a warcrime. It's more like trademark infringement.
Took me a while to figure out what you're talking about. Because its sprite size is so tiny, that I didn't think it was a red cross.
Everytime im feening for more deltarune, you always come in clutch 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
The blue and yellow character, first on the left in the second row, is not entirely new.
They were a goner in undertale, if we recall correctly.
Right, but unlike the other goners they didn't have another character of the same species in the games for reference until now, which is what I meant 😅
@@guiltyflygon
Neither did the goner holding the head, who also appears in deltarune.
You also mention maybe getting to see goner kid's counterpart; but monster kid is part of a few major story beats in Undertale…
I may need to play through a few more time… or more, because RNG to double check other details.
@@RealmsCrossMythsI think you see them at the spider bake sale? Might be wrong tho
I think Berdly isn’t actually fully blue, since there’s some white lines right after his shirt sleeve
Or it could be some weird bracelets Idk
I need a full theory video on Purple Guy being the Knight XD
We all need :)
finally a deltarune theo- ...
... analysis
Hey, there's like 5 mini theories in there!
Terry is a different person from Jerry, once again they just share a species
The Warrior is a different character, Oni doesn’t seem like the type of person to mess with childeish things because he is shown to be a stick and a no fun type of person.

It could imply these monsters never "fell down" in Deltarune due to the different circumstances, or that perhaps there's another larger cemetery somewhere nearby, perhaps behind Undyne's police tape, which could have implications for "Dess is not dead" theories.

@@guiltyflygon Yeah, you're right I was thinking of that guy. I am going insane
He was there before Gaster made him disappear forever. You've got memories of the wrong timeline. ;)
Eh, I never connected ICE-E Barney to FNAFs Purple Guy 'cause frankly they look nothing like each other. Other than being purple literally everything else about them couldn't be more different, and he's the same purple as _Suzie_ who is much more similar to "purple guy" in terms of figure at least (though still pretty far off) 🤷
I figure he's either a relative of Suzie's or at least of the same or similar monster-kind. If he's related she may not comment on it because she either doesn't recognize him with the mask, is too embarrassed to say anything, or simply doesn't actually know him to recognize (we don't really know much about Suzie's family after all or what relation he may even be)
Edit: actually, come to think of it, it's interesting how similar Suzie and this guy particularly look like Barney, considering Alphys is already a bit reminiscent of another Barney character 🤔 probably nothing though
I'm not sure if he's a similar purple to Susie necessarily given that he's probably in a mascot suit given the patches on it, but there's definitely room for a humorous connection there later haha.
