It's heartening to see India beat Australia finally... after the World Cup debacle... but it's also nice to referee s bein unbiased especially one of them in today's game.. horrifying decisions from the referee s let us down in the Olympics both men and women.. its time FIH does something about this...

Victory is a reason to rejoice and we should because young or old, beating Australia is a no joke, they’ve beaten Germany, Australia and again Germany in the last three games, we must rejoice, cheer up and support our team, this is hockey where we have to compete with developed and sporting nations across the world. When it’s cricket then people over-rejoice against non-sporting nations like Bangladesh and Pakistan and here you are saying that we shouldn’t rejoice?

Very true. They were pathetic in the recently concluded World Cup but I must say they played well in the 2018 World Cup. The group stage game against Belgium was a top-class one.

I think the only thing that India lacks in and needs to improve on ( something they’ve lacked for a long time tbh) is defending, especially on the circle. After the first rebound they are either too slow at clearing it or they are not man-marking strategically and properly in their 25 and circle.
Kokaburras are fielding their junior team and so are most of the European countries participating in this tournament. Otherwise india is humiliated most of the time when they play against full strength teams.
Had it been 10 minutes more , Australia could make it 5_5.

India has still not improved from their world cup form. Defence was weak throughout. Only difference was that Harman has found his form back. Also they have finally understood that without Jugraj, they cannot beat top teams.
Without Punjabi players this team will be nothing.
What was your Punjabi players doing from 1980's to 2014 indian Team didnt win anything in this time period even with punjabi players in it Now they are getting Better coaching and funding from central/State govt they are performing well not all of the players are from Punjab there are many players from outside of punjab
