I had the pleasure of playing this at a local bowling alley before they closed. I definitely recommend it being super loud also just like the one you have. Was such a nice machine, awesome find man!
I watched this a couple of weeks ago on my TV and never got to comment lol. You definitely went BIG! The arcade I worked at had this and it was a huge hit. It was smart to get the movers. I’m sure they were hating their job moving it haha. Nice score!
The movers got a nice guilt-driven tip 😅
Beautiful machine and love seeing it get a whole new second life. Well done and congrats on the great work!
Dude, great vid. I learned more in five minutes than I would have on my own.
That’s cool I have plated that machine as well so many times in OC! Glad to see it’s in good hands crazy I think about it and first video I searched
Glorious!
So glad I found your Video. Thank you for the links!. I'm repairing one of these, Had ram and rom issues, controls platform all rusted up and stick loose etc. Got all in good order, spent ages manually calibrating the CRT projector tubes and got it playing well with everyone wanting a go, only to have the red lens dump glycol on the projector board. So disappointed. Only four days of Starwars. I've now got it directly working on a small VGA monitor, although the clock settings are extreme, so a new hope is to put in a modern short throw projector to keep the authenticity. Projector arriving tomorrow....
Sheesh, love the whack with hammer method. And watching the mover pull while wearing flip flops made me clench
🤣
What a great find!!! I should have asked you to turn it on when I picked up the pinball table from you today.
I could have talked your ear off all afternoon about my toys 🤣
That’s so amazing that it was the cab you played as a kid . I just played trilogy yesterday at a local barcade but I didn’t even know they had a deluxe version . Congrats !
The sit down deluxe is all I knew back in the day. I only ever saw the stand-up version years later
I believe the stand-up is missing the force feedback in the handle and the big subwoofer that this one has under the seat
@@Brad-D for sure because when you mentioned force feedback
I thought to myself
I def didn’t feel that happening
Great video and knowledgeable trouble shooting for anyone with this cab. Love it man.
This is so awesome. I have the sitdown Trilogy as well but the monitor went out so I bought a converter but it doesn't seem to work. I'll have to try the parts that you bought. Any other advice you can give? Are the converters plug and play? Thank You!
Hey Brad, was the converter and scaler that you bought for this plug and play? I have this trilogy game as well but the monitor went out. i bought a different converter but it doesn't seem to display the picture the right way.
Any recommendations on a new VGA to DP converter? That link is showing no longer available. I just picked the bench version up, but the red composite video cable is broken. Considering making the conversion instead of fighting with it.
Also, another OCMD vet here, that machine was very good to me growing up. Glad it's in great hands!!
I’m just looking at buying one of these at the moment.
Nice one and indeed the new TV makes a big difference, what type and model did you put in? While seeing the side by side it looks like going from a moderate LCD to an OLED when judging the black levels.
New Monitor in Star Wars Trilogy Arcade
Great pickup! 🦊👊🏼
It’s my pride and joy 😁
As much as I was a Midway kid growing up, Sega truly was the Ferrari of the arcade world. 60FPS or bust, they were next level. Great pick up!
I was very much a SEGA kid
@@Brad-D in the second half of my arcade exposure as a kid, we had a “Sega City” amusement center, and I would say it was definitely my main play spot before the end. All Sega deluxe cabs, linked, even the 8 player Indy 500 cockpit showcase (converted Virtua Formula) then later to 8 player Daytona 2 showcases with motion. I knew it was magic in there but only realize now how good it really was to see Sega at the top of their game in the arcade world. Good times.
Dude this is so sick! And right on about the gateway drug effect in this hobby…
I haven’t seen one of these cabinets since 2014 when I finally beat it after graduating from high school. And guess where I beat it? That’s right: An arcade at the Ocean City boardwalk. I’m betting that’s the exact cabinet.
Damn, what a small world.
100% the same game
How did you move it? Did you use moving straps?
Man always wanted a start wars trilogy arcade
Man you are dedicated.
awesome!!!
What monitor make and model did you use.
That game deserves an Oled tv.
Hey! How many people helped you move Star Wars Trilogy Arcade?
me and 2 movers :)
we used straps to carry the TV section and we just lifted/rolled the chair/control base
It took up the whole living room.
😂 yeah
Pongo cameo!!
just put in a washer....
I know, right? 😂 I have since put in washers on either side.
