TEMS is a Nigerian princess and songstress. She is phenomenal. As a Nigerian myself I love her artistry so much and I wish her nothing but the highest height in her musical career.
A Queeennnnnn
Temilade meaning is : Mine is the Crown 👑 or The Crown is Mine
Even how she talks its so soothing , I gotta tune into this album
She has found herself. You coukd see she is joyous and happy. Lucky her. Not everyone go through life expressing their true self.
I see my face and hear my speaking voice in hers. It feels good to know and see my heritage represented. Tems, thank you for your artistry.
💯💯💯💯💯
Awww, that's beautiful
She just emanates pure beauty of the soul, body and mind! I love her so much I did a painting of her.❤
What a beautiful motherland woman inside and out. As a black man from Jamaica I love how Nigeria and Africa as a whole is getting respect put on their name right now. Let's keep that up✊🏽👌🏽❤️
Ah we’ve been getting respect put on our name for some time now people don’t just want to admit it
Ahayi Ahayi!!
We hear you Island Brother!!
God bless you too!
👊🏾🇳🇬👊🏾🇳🇬!
Amen. 🙌🏾
Yh that's right 👌🤞
❤❤
I love this woman 😍😍 “no one can compete with me” ✅
That's nigerian lack of humility lmfao

This is exactly what I needed to hear. I’ve been told my voice is a gift but my parents also are the more traditional type. I’m 27 with a degree but struggling with work bc it’s not what I really want to do
Well I hope you are able to achieve your goals. You should record yourself singing covers of your favorite songs. I'm sure people would love to hear it!
Same ship, different crew
listen i’ll tell you rn baby girl pleaseeee i’m begging you leave the job
honestly leave it
follow your passion if you feel sad working a 9-5 now and u stick to it in the next 3-4 years you’d have wasted more time and you’ll feel much more miserable
so please leave it’s better for you to chase your passion and do what you love than for you to work a job just to make ends meet yunno.
like me i’m 20 i want to be a basketball player and i don’t see myself working a 9-5.
i’d rather spend my time chasing my dream doing what i love and not succeeding than work some 9-5 every single day 5 days a week for 20-30-40 years
DO what makes you happy!! DO what feeds your soul!! I don’t know you personally, but I pray for you, all the joy and success that your heart can fill!! ❤❤
You can keep your job and work on your music, until you no longer need the job
She’s so Nigerian, feel my heritage in every essence of her 🇳🇬
Oh fr? I thought she was Zambian fam 😭
@@storeroom1503why did you think she was Zambian??
@@truethots3088 she looks so
She's a little British 😮
@@bjrnthebootybandit how is she a "little British"? She was born in Nigeria then left for the UK and was back to Nigeria at age 5 and lived and schooled in Nigeria since then.. I doubt her toddler hrs in Britian would have had an influence in her craft and life.
She is so for the culture. Love her music and attitude.
She is SOOO GORGEOUS 😍😍😍
TEMS.... She is the voice in my head which stops me from going left.....
I like her sense of humor ❤ very beautiful
I love Tems
Patiently waiting for her new drops
She's is so beautiful, down to earth and so calm, love her so much 💜💜
I love her personality so much 😂❤
I'll be honest I didn't expect her to be so joyous in real life lol because her music sounds so serious all the time
Yes didn't you hear her say her music is personal?
I love Tems soo much. She is a true queen. I have a unique voice too. As a true born artist Tems inspires me alot.
Tems so chill keep it up blessings
It's nice that she wants to create music for the soul and not the money
Only music for the soul become timeless
##ALWAYS BE "U" (HIGHER) ❤❤❤❤❤
I love her first EP “For Broken Ears”. No skips.
Omg the Ep hit my soul
Especially the keys
The most beautiful woman ever. Such a beautiful soul
I love that Tems is unapologetically herself! When she talked about trying but not wanting to stick to the standard plan (robot/zombie plan lol) that African parents want for their child, I felt that!!
Yea, our generation is breaking that cycle
##THIS IS A ( PEACE) THAT U CAN NOT "BUY"!!!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
“Zombie plan” 😂😂😂 that’s deep🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Love you Tems
Bro.... She's amazing. Great music too!
Tems is one of my favorite artists and I'm glad to hear she also freestyles when she sings. I do the same thing, everyone keeps telling me to record something but I'm scared and use to being in the shadows. Hating my job and finally done with school, tired of life, but this interview gave me a great perspective
You always have to start somewhere, go for what you always want to do and don't stop for anyone! Spread love ❤
Go for it, your passion. Your life's fulfillment will come from it.
True girl me too
She looks like she smells so good and rich
She’s so fine😍😍😍
Proudly Nigerian 💪💪💪🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
😂 oh Tems who else noticed that she switched accent from Nigerian to British at 12:39 . Nigerians are just too great 👍 🇳🇬
That's because we were colonised by the British with British spelling and Curriculum.
@@dayosonictv I know I be Naija too ,🇳🇬😃

Lovely interview , we were here ❤🇳🇬
Love herrrr and her singing and speaking voice is soothing
Its not a zombie plan ... its not just your plan & its all love ❤ in the end
It's a zombie plan. The same old boring stuff day in and day out.
@@azeezedo-omozuwa1820 zombies dot have a life alot of us were born from parents who followed certain similar programing you might think you have it all planed & figured out cause it worked for you, it didnt rwork for so many ... at the end its choice, you do what suits you as an adult
Divine essence 👑💜
Proud Nigerian here. My country of birth got it all, from the talent to the best coochie
12:10 Ebro caught The code switch 😂
Her skin is effervescent!!
I'm supporting my baby with whatever she does 🖤🥰🇳🇬
I can't wait to go see her and Brent Fiyaz perform "Found" live (Manifesting*). It's my top 3 favorite songs ever!!!
I need a vinyl or cassette for If Orange Was a Place & For Broken Ears.

I love you TEMS ❤❤❤
Thanks for having my friend Tems on here!
They both love each others❤️❤️
She is so fine i love tems❤❤❤❤
All the greatest musicians describe their secret the same way. Rick Rubin did a good job explaining it in his interviews and his book that I'm currently reading. About how the ideas just come to you without your input. Interesting stuff.
What book pls?
@@alaodemilade1235 I tried not to advertise some else in their comment section but it's called 'The Creative Act'
Tems
Protect Tems at all cost
Thank God for Tems
I AM SO in Love with this Woman!!! Honest to God. If I were allowed just ONE wish granted from God, one more Blessing, it would be to have Him grant this Woman to me in this life as my Wife. 😍🥰🥰
Lovely lady
omg tems is back
What a beautiful successful story ❤ I love this for you 💚💚💚
The British accent was 🙌🏾
Where are you guys hearing British accent? This is the way well-educated Nigerians speak.
@@TheNgchick it was a impersonation, couldn’t you hear it?
She’s my only truly loved Nigerian artist…can she come back to South Africa, this time to perform. she went to university in SA😀Like her so much…so unique and talented. Her sound reminds me of Rihanna but made Nigerian without sounding afrobeats which I’m not into. Look forward to her collaborating with our Tyla one day
Edit: like her even more after listening this interview, so chilled but major confident and comfortable with who she is “My life is a moment”💕
@Bluebubblesxx no I didn’t . I was starting high school when she’d have been going to university, I think. I’m still at varsity in South Africa right now. She went to another university different to mine but in same province of RSA
I love her😫❤️🔥, girl is on fire
these guys didn't even do a background check.. it's so disappointing! you only had one job to do.. c'mon
They never do
Yes…. This what I tell my brother.
Artist are heros

I just love her

She made super eps a thing damn 🙏🏾💪🏾💥

Nigeria and Africa as a whole have several genre's like anywhere else in the world
We have afrobeats, afrobeat, gengeton, amanpiano, zouk makossa, afropop and 100s of local sounds in addition to international imports like the regular R&B ,Rap, reggae , .. so we shouldn't be put in a box we have many R&B and jazz singers that can compete with Americans anyday.. and reggea artists that can compete with the Jamaicans but we can give you a pass cos you are only just discovering us. But you cant just lump a country like Nigerian into a box. Much less Africa that has 54 big ass countries. Or maybe the powers that be dont want to compete hense shoving us in a box😅😅😅 😅
This part right here!!!!! We appreciate the world waking up to us now but we need them to not dismiss ALL of our sound or put everything under an Afrobeats umbrella.
Spots on! 💯
Amen ❤❤❤❤
Enjoyed it❤❤❤
Loveee Tems!!
My fave ❤
EXACTLY what the artist Flavour speaks on about the genre labeling of why does the beat of Nigerian and other Afrikan music have to immediately be categorized as Afrobeats? Flavour's music is consider the old school of Nigerian music, KNOWN AS HIGHLIFE. It's a fusion of several beats such as; Jazz, Clypso, R&B, Afrobeats, Reggae, and in my opinion, Latino included, recent sounds of new music I heard Indigenous Indian, Native Amerikan pfunk. Best of the Best Tems and don't allow any one to group you or cage you.
Thanks man🇺🇸🇳🇬🇯🇲🇯🇲🇳🇬🇺🇸
Wow she and I are so much alike. I'd love to collaborate with her.
Tems 🤗
She is from Nigerian of course she has a degree. If you know Nigerian people, they are all about studying and have some sort of degree. And very intelligent also. Everyone i know from Nigeria is confident and ambitious. Most doctors, engineers, some like that

You deserve it beautiful
Get Tyla to Hot 97
Where is @Cynthiamorgan ??? Just asking 😊😊😊
She definitely but that economics degree to use when creating her music career. She created a differentiation for herself and her music. She refused typical afrobeats beat and created her own unique sound.
