John Deacon was on fire on this song. Thanks for the video, sir. Amazing playing as always
I have to play this at a show
Very funny to play :)
@@LeftyBassman I am 9 yo to.
deacon has the weirdest bass lines i've ever seen.
Yet the best ones
This is literally the best thing my ears have ever heard
I love how this bass line changes slightly every time. Good job lefty
Also could you please do let me entertain you, it’s my favourite
I’ll do it!
Lefty Bassman thanks so much
that's what I hate about it.....
(when it comes to learning it at least)
right,i tried to play it, i almost did it corectly but only John Deacon & u can do it
Could you do Sleeping On The Sidewalk from the News Of The World album?
I used to know this one a few years ago. Totally forgot it. The timing is super tricky, possibly one of the hardest Queen songs on bass to play really properly! (Haha, and I remember I popped the strings with a huge attack when it came to those vibratos...)
What a beautiful and perfect playing!
Makes me happy all the time when I'm hearing your QUEEN bass-lines.
Thank you again Rotislav!!
One of the most underrated bassline
Nice video lefty! Thanks for the tabs. Can you do "no one but you"?
Accurate💯
Thank you!
this is very nice! this is one of my favorite bass lines in a queen song
Sad that Freddie didn't like Star wars

what strings are you using in this video
Don't remember but I think Elixir or Ernie Ball Slinky, roundwound
Hi, which type of bass strings would you recommend me to play queen songs?
I usually play with Elixir (very expensive but durable) or Ernie Ball Slinkie. But I recommend you to have a P-bass, this makes the sound
john used rotosound 77 flats.
For playing Queen songs I would suggest using flatwound strings, it helps with all the slides that John Deacon does. His bass sound is essentially a P bass with flatwound strings. He initially used Rotosound 77 strings, but switched to Rotosound Superwound 707 flatwound strings from the mid 1970s to late 80s, but they are no longer made. They differed from most strings by having the core exposed at the bridge. Apparently this improved sustain and increased the brightness of the sound.
