I find that profesionally speaking, Romania is easier than Germany when it comes to English only speakers. In Germany for example you go for a PhD or some other post grad program, taught in English, but you can’t stay in Germany for a job unless you’re fluent in German. In Romania we accept that people are slow in learning our language (it’s a hard language to learn) and are less fussed about communicating in English. We have plenty of students and professionals from Africa and the Middle East who usually studied here too (it’s cheaper than Western Europe).
