I was 8 years old when The Fugitive premiered. My siblings and I loved it, watched every week. Dad took me to a local discount store to buy gym shoes for school. There were some greaser dudes with their girlfriends hanging out in the lobby as we left the store. "C'mon, man, let's go. I gotta get home and watch The Fugitive", one said. I thought how cool, greasers watch what I like. Maybe that makes me cool, too! Well, no, I wasn't. Thanks for this first episode.

With pipes like that, William Conrad was a busy voice talent at the time. Like "Route 66", this series did most of its filming on location. The final episode of the series had the highest rating of any TV show before it. Wrapping up the story in the final episode also killed its value as a syndicated series.
