I’ve had a 2015 Passat TSI Wolfsburg edition for 2 years now and for a 4 cylinder with 184 ft pounds of tourer this car does not have “sluggish throttle response”. It’s actually pretty grabby with the amount of torque it has. Gets great fuel mileage. 26-28 on normal roads and I’ve gotten as high as 42mpg on the highway! Car has a great audio system and a huge trunk for its size. The seats are very comfortable and the back seats are more roomy than a lot of SUV’s I’ve sat in. My only complaint is that the headlights aren’t the best.
I have a 2014 SEL TSI and I LOVE it. I came from a 2007 Lexus IS350 and I like this so much more. Its so much roomier, the Fender audio system is the best audio system I've heard in a car and this is coming from a previous Lexus owner and the Lexus had premium sound and Navi... My only complaint is the rearview camera.. It displays wide, but the height is not as good. It looks like I'm staring down at the ground. The TSI 1.8 does suffer from a little turbo lag, but the pickup is good overall. The fuel economy is what gets my heart. The Lexus had a 17.5 tank taking premium.. this has a 18.5 and gets 30MPG. So thats a little over 500 miles to a tank compared to 280 on the Lexus. The ride and comfort on the SEL is amazing. SO quiet and so roomy. At times I look back at the rear seat and imagine my friends sitting back there enjoying themselves. ITS A GREAT CAR!
The one gripe I would put forward is the incessant recent harping on pointless technologies like blind spot warning, forward collision warning, and lane monitoring. If the driver isn't aware of how far they are from the vehicle in front of them, or if they aren't coherent enough to stay in their lane, or the best one, too lazy to look over their right shoulder when changing into that lane, then that driver shouldn't be on the road. I understand that a lot of newer cars have horrible rear visibility, but you can't tell me that that is the case with the greenhouse on the Passat. I drive a pickup, and somehow, I've never had a problem. The best safety feature is a safe driver, not a technology that can fail that people will start to depend on.
Camerons Car Reviews why did VW skimp out on LED DRLs for the passat but was able to put them on other models? Why did they skimp out on driver assist technologies but was able to put them on the Jetta?
Does this have the driver assistance extras such as park and emergency assists? Mine just says tsi on the rear. Does this one have those features? Please respond. Thanks.
It wouldn't take much improvement for VW to blow this segment out of the water. But like every other mid-size sedan, it has stuff that just makes it too unappealing to buy..
It's a perfect car in the eyes of those who prefer simplicity and hate all those techno assistance.

I like reviews that give information, pros & cons, etc., but not personal opinions.
bought one of these in wagon about 3 weeks ago and i love it.the model sold here in australia looks different and yes it has dsg.
Only the 6 cylinder and the diesel have the DSG, not the 1.8
Not boring, harmonious
Is this really a 2015? Doesnt look like other 2015 on the web, but i may be looking at the euro model?
Sort of difficult to call the video a "review" when you don't even drive it.
i didn't film myself driving it, but i did drive it.
It should be called "OverView"

Super Duper video 🐕
Wrong! The 1.8L does not come with the DSG transmission!

The new 2015 JD Powers survey of reliability is out- VW's rank below average, as usual, coming in at 21 out of 30 major major manufacturers.
That's not a DSG gearbox.
This is not a 2015 ass hole
Ahahahahaha
