I looked out at this view somewhere from the army hospital at fort. This side for 6-8 weeks in 1957. I got gangrene and they were trying to save my arm amputation. Arm pool bath from 60 to 90 minutes each day. In the beginning twice a day. I was seven and had nothing to do look out at the window. Never seen that side thanks for the memories. My parents were in NW corner Ramey AFB. Was 4-5 hour trip in those days. Love the kitty stop. And you been to place a few times find some out of the norm for surprise adventure. Man the enjoyment meter skyrocketing in this day already.

Was there Jan of 2020, they were going through the earthquake series. A lot of things were closed and they didn't have power so they were working on generators. If you go to San Juan Tourist site you can get their recommended walking tour. Cat sanctuary. My friend Melissa goes there every year and donates toys, food, money.

I am thinking the portions are small due to the restaurants being complimentary for this inaugural season. Hopefully when the upcharge happens, the portions will increase.
We had fun, as always! We’ve been several times before to explore San Cristobal, do a walking food tour, and things like that. We just decided to wander around this time and see what happened!! :D
We’ve been holding out this trip because there’s another family on board that wanted to meet with us one morning to have burritos, and we haven’t coordinated it yet, ha ha… But I’m sure we will have one by the time this cruise is done, and probably another one next week at least… :P
Hi Jay and Dee. Question: I am going with my mother and 2 kids in December to San Juan. My Mother uses a wheelchair or could use a rollator. How far is it from the port to get into San Juan and do you think it would be different for her if I pushed her in the wheelchair or if she used her rollator? Thank you.
It’s a good half mile to get into the touristy section of Old San Juan, and we went about a mile one-way on our trek to the plaza, umbrella street, and the cat place, then about a mile back to the ship. The streets and sidewalks don’t seem friendly at all to wheels of any variety, sadly. The further you get from the tourist zone, the more they can be very broken up, pretty hilly, and requiring transitions on and off the street, over curbs and things.
Is that actually the flying scotsman singing or is he lip syncing? I dont mean to be rude, just the range was extraordinary. Also he streams on twitch when he can (obviously not on the cruise ship) him playing games! Such a cool guy!
QUESTION: which nights are formal nights? I board Mardi Gras the 14th for 1st Carnival cruise and only my 2nd-ever cruise. Just booked on Saturday so haven’t had a lot of time to research!

No, you don’t typically need a passport on a closed loop cruise. The only islands that we’ve heard of that do require them for you to get off are places like Martinique and Guadaloupe. But most others, you should be fine.
Jay, yesterday in the news from Puerto Rico they reported that there was an outbreak of infections in the Mardi Gras, that The ship have a yellow flag and this would affect the visit of other cruise ships on the island. Is this true? What do you know about that?
When a ship or boats approach a port, a yellow flag(AKA quarantine flag or yellow jack)is flown, it is an international signal code. If yellow quarantine flag is flying by itself, there is no disease onboard and the ship is awaiting clearance to dock, disembark. If there is disease onboard they would also fly a second signal flag to indicate that with the yellow flag. This is standard, all vessels must do this and we did this on our boat from Florida entering Bahamas. Not sure if they had an outbreak all those people would be allowed off the ship to wander around. Or maybe they did lol I don’t know not there to know if cases onboard. Anyway just some nautical info about the yellow flag.

Hello I just heard that cardinalHorizon an outbreak of covid on the July 24 sailing. Do you no anything about this we are schedule for the Aug 7th sailing we are concerned.
I haven’t heard anything about it, no. But I know Carnival did update the mask guidelines today and say that they are going to be required more and more on future sailings for now.
I do appreciate you putting out your videos so quick and sticking to what has worked for you. Voted most consistent cruise vloggers in my opinion

Cat park is so cool. When i was in Lima, Peru they have Parque Kennedy which is a huge cat park. There were about 100 running around. Love them.

I haven’t heard anything about it, no. But I know Carnival did update the mask guidelines today and say that they are going to be required more and more on future sailings for now.
