- Harley Streten, known to the world as Flume, sits down with Zane Lowe to discuss his third studio album, ‘Palaces.’ The album is deeply emotional, and Flume explains that one of his goals as an artist is creating dance music that is just as evocative as other genres. When Flume moved back home to Byron Bay, he rediscovered music in ways he never predicted. The album is aptly named ‘Palaces’ in reference to the home he built in Australia, where music comes easily. yep really cool to hear the meaning behind it. And cool to hear flume talk about nature in general cus its been clear the last few years hes obsessed with it, a bird being the cover of this new album and the Skin cover was a type of flower I believe.
I interpreted it as music was organic and the trees and birds and stuff and how it became about charts and numbers until he moved back to his “palace” of Australia.
