Hi James. Great presentation. Accuphase amplifiers look amazing and Japanese build quality is always up there. We have a pair of Il Cremoneses coming. How would the larger of the Accuphase amplifiers go powering the SFs😎
Would you get E5000 or A48 and pair with tube preamp like McIntosh ? Speakers are Harbeth 86 db. I don't listen too loud and room is fairly on smaller side. Any advice here? Thanks
Recent review by Accuphase dealer in Canada claimed that 4000 has better detail than 5000. Likely due to AANC distortion lowering feature on 4000. Sucks for 5000 owners who paid much more.
It depends very much on a couple of things. How how loud you are going to listen to your speakers at and how big your room is. If you are going to listen LOUD or have a large room or particularly large speakers the E-5000 is going to be the more suitable amp given it is more of a high performance powerhouse than what the E-650 is. I personally own an E-650 and I power Sonus Faber Nova IIs off of it in an open plan area and have plenty of power, so the E-650 is not weak or anything, but my speakers are easy to drive, and as far as floor speakers go, they are what would be considered small to medium in size, and I don’t really blast my music. So overall, I think the E-650 is a ‘nicer’ sounding amplifier due it being Class A, but the E-5000 is there if you need the power. If you really want the best of both worlds and were considering the E-5000, just go for the E-800.
Next time check what "COMP" button do instead selling lies!!! COMP. in previous integrated models is =+6dB Bass boost at 100Hz - it's like loudness without boosting trebless - it's better than loudnes in my taste. Besides that there is a standard tone control +10 dB at 50Hz in fluid contoler in potentiometer.
Incredible quality !
I liked this E-5000 better than the E-800 Class A Amp ! 😇
Could you specify why?
@@klaverro Apparently not 🤔😆

in the USA they jack them up 40-50% becasue the importer is greedy.
So, over $33,000 or more? 😮

Which one would be better for silent listening music ? E650 or E 5000 ?
