●Another animal cafe video↓ SHIBA INU Cafe in Tokyo☆ Why do Shiba inus all hate me? ua-cam.com/video/PryHavfyikY/v-deo.html ---------------------------------- I went to an otters cafe called “HARRY Harajuku Terrace”! You can interact with otters, hedgehogs, squirrels, rabbits, and chinchillas♪ It was a great time for me. I'll go back when I’m having a bad day😂haha Feeding the otters is once every 2 hours. If you want to see the feeding, you should inquire at the cafe before you go! *You can feed treats anytime you want to♪ I shouted too much "Kawaii"( °_° )haha
As cute as these animals are...these cages are way too small. I couldn't quite figure out what animals lived in the tiny cages behind the Chinchilla. The wheel is far too small for a Chinchilla, since wheels always have to be big enough so the animals back doesn't bend too much. Not even a hamster would be allowed in a cage that size in Germany. The minimum is 100x50x60 cm or so. Looks like the Chinchilla and Rabbit can at least hop around a little, but who on earth thinks keeping otters in such a tiny cubicle, with barely any enrichment is a good idea? And the hedgehogs where a very sad sight. Obviously these are white hedgehogs, but in the wild these animals run kilometers....
@@kameo360fan They shouldn't be in display cases of that size for the majority of the time/ at all. I also doubt they have a lot of space in the back areas. In Germany standards for animals are better from what I could observe. For example cat cafés in Japan rarely have rescue cats, while I think the famous cat cafés in Germany only have rescue cats. The cat cafés I know in Germany all have a back area the cats can always access to get a bit of piece, but even in Germany those rooms are very small and smelly because they have the litter boxes in them.
Chinchillas are absolutely the most fun pets! They are curious & explore their surroundings when outside a cage. Like Guinea pigs they enjoy having their own cage. Unlike Guinea pigs they make 0 noise. & If a pet, you know you've saved one from a Chinchilla farm where they're bred & killed for their fur. Nothing cuter than a Chinchilla taking a dust bath. All of the animals appear healthy & happy being handled by humans. No chance they could be returned to the wild. Japan is famous for their animal cafe's & their "Cat Islands" & a "Rabbit Island".
They have so many different types of animal interaction cafes in Japan where you can interact with all sorts of animals. It's really cool. I'd like to try and experience all types one day, but for now at least I can watch videos of them. Like others have said in these comments, it does not look like the animals have enough space. It definitely seems like they need some stronger animal protection laws in Japan. I remember seeing a video of a Japanese pet store with a swan swimming around in literal circles because it had such little space. Not only are swans not meant to be pets except maybe in cases in animal preservation with people who really know what they are doing, but they are larger birds and clearly need more space. I know space is tight in Japan, but they still need to make more of an effort to take better care of animals there.
@@megbeg759 If you got a link to the video, i'd like to see. While i'm fine with those like LOUTRE that have plenty of space and toys, and care deeply for their otters, idk about this one but on sight it's not a good impression. At least Loutre has good reasons for some otters being seperated by transparent walls for a time: Otters like their Bob can sometimes be sensitive and very psychologically complicated.
Japan's own otters have perished long ago. These otters come from Asia illegally. International trade of the otters is already banned. Shame on you Japan.
Yes these are wild otters taken from their parents from the wild, undomesticated and stressed so much they'll live only 2 years and die from stress related illness
The animals at the cafe look very cute. I occasionally see otters in the river near my house, they're very cute, there are lot more otters in the UK then there used to be as the rivers are cleaner. Sadly hedgehogs are a lot more rare then they used to be. I used to see a lot of hedgehogs when I was younger, but now I very rarely see them.
@@miki_japanMy hometown's not that nice, I'm on the edge of it so we do have lots of countryside around, but the best thing about it is probably that we're really close to London.

Oh maybe cause it's illegal. Otters are wild animals and are actually protected by the law. So yeah maybe you should visit a country that doesn't punish cruelty on wild animals
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh otters............................... I melt with them. I wish I had tons with me and a big swimming pool. Love otters. Ok Miki, you totally made my day, and today was kinda sad day as I had to move back to Spain, so no more Switzerland. Thanks for the video, ども ありがとう ございます!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *bows*
I dont recommend to come now...... we are quite bad here, but definitely, if you come, let me know, i will be working hard on my Japanese :) and would be an honor to bring you to eat tapas... maybe will warn the owners about buying more food ;)

Agreed
I think these might be the 'display cases' and maybe in the back and other areas they have the full thing

these animal cafe's are getting more and more abusive for the animals.
there I said it.

but the thing is ...are these animals rescues OR money making machines
Lol you’re soo excited! I would be dying myself! Looove the otters! Wish they had more room though 🥺
I think so, too😢
愛らしいカワウソや他のかわいい動物たちと一緒におやつやお茶を飲むのはとても夢のようです!
You are a gentle and beautiful Japanese angel! The heavens love you because you are a beautiful light to this world!🙏👼❤️
Thats way too less space for them.
And as long as there is not a minimum space, water etc. given i cant support the idea of a cafe
Worry not! In another comment she says there are proper facilities for them outside with a pool! This is only a showroom
@@not2quid How long are they in this showroom usually?
I watched other video about how badly they treated these animals,It’s all business .
