Underinsured is an understatement. That defies all logic that someone would have a few hundred grand in watches and NOT have the proper insurance. THe allure of this channel was always that the pontiff, a normal joe - was able to amass this collection of expensive stuff. Poof gone. The whole asset basis for the channel gone. Tragic stuff. I hope some of this stuff is recovered, this will make a feel good story. But seriously, not insuring that... is just beyond an oversight.

Paint and oil everywhere b/c they tried to cool the spinning blade which flung the paint and oil all over the room. Check your nearby hardware stores in case they broke a blade and had to send a cohort to buy a new one to finish the job...

Ultimately, what was stolen was his lifes work and savings. Can hear the quiver in his voice.

I'm not unsympathetic to his situation as the invasion of his home & privacy is disgusting and obviously very traumatic. But for years he's been spouting on about his financial struggles and - for want of a better word - begging. Wasn't his LV watch box paid for by donations to the tune of over $10,000?
Despite years of holding out the digital begging bowl, it now transpires that he has investment rental properties, a new BMW, money for nice holidays and evidently sufficient savings to fork out thousands of dollars to deal with the aftermath of the robbery. Add this to the estimated (from what he's saying) $250,000 of stolen goods and it appears Archie has not only been duplicitous but also immoral in his pursuit of materialism. A con man by any other name.
Despite his apparent deception, I hope he gets his stuff back and office rebuilt, as it's clearly his life and very important to him.
But I also hope people wise up to these antics and that he reflects and realises that it's time for change.

I would not rule out someone very close to you being behind this as they knew your schedule etc. This seems to have been more than a routine robbery and has a level of personal animosity in it.

Very sorry to hear about this. I can understand how upsetting it must be. Having a channel and posting expensive watches has its inherent risks. That being said, having the best safe you can afford, a security and camera system is the best line of defense along with keeping your whereabouts secret. And in the countries and states where you are allowed to protect yourself, that kind of protection is reassuring. Crooks will go for an easier target if you have all of that especially if they know you are ready for them. I hope you get your stuff back.

I started watching your show when my boss’s house caught fire and only a month earlier I bought him a safe for 600 to house his watch collection. I was so nervous they’d be ruined and so I started watching videos to see if they’d survive a bad fire and watched your episode about your collection in the basement of the CBD. Took my anxiety away and a I had a great chuckle at the way you were describing the situation I was in.
