Man what a blast! The first of my many Metallica experiences and still the best in my opinion. The atmosphere was electric, the heat was epic, the beer was heavy in quantity and my ears have never recovered!!! 😉🤟🤟
An awesome day was had. I was 17, pissed stoned n full of adrenaline. My main memory was when we all started shouting "You bald bastard" to Jason. 😂. Such a great gig n nothing but friendly passionate people living in the moment..I still miss Jason. He was the perfect fit for Metallica..
I was there with my friend. It was unforgetable. Around 60 tousand people and all like one. We were two jung women 19 years old and two long hair scottish men ,that we didn't know, were protecting us from the crowd❤️🔥. We never saw them again so i wan't to say:"thank you" greatest gentleman that i ever met ❤❤❤
Fuckin ace gig, i remember having to wait over nite for train to stafford n then had walk all the way to knutton, because i misd the coach after the gig, good times tho, 🤟🤟🤟🤟
I had this bootleg from the early days of the internet. This is one of the worst nothing else matters performances of all time. James really couldn’t find the key 😂
I found the radio broadcast versions on Enter Sandman and So What and put together a 2 CD full version of the concert! Finally I have the full concert!!
@@ginajames4564 I don't think they did on the BBC radio broadcast. I still have my tape cassette somewhere which the last 2 tracks are not on. I found the last 2 songs on a different radio broadcast. The audio for the last two songs needs to be changed to the broadcast versions and this would be the most complete audio version.
I remember seeing I think what was the BBC cut of this back in the day and they were specifically asked not to swear at the start as it was going out pre watershed and of course James obliges 😂
@@Nathwaan yes I remember listening to it before the watershed live on radio 1 lol. Very funny when he chanted fxxk you motherfxxkers! BBC box tickers but have had had an emergency meeting after this lol
Hi - you've done a great job here with the sound quality compared to the other versions BUT James's guitar is too loud in relation to Kirk's and drowns Kirk out. No problem with James being a bit louder - but it's too much and the harmony parts don't work if one guitar is too loud. Any chance you could balance that out a bit?
I was there. What a day. Boiling hot day. Diamond head were on the bill. And of course megadeath were co mains. Was with my best m8 sprog. Memories. Take me back

Jason always thought he was lucky to have Metallica, but it was Matellica who was lucky to have Jason.
They should have played at the Wembley Stadium on July 7th of that year.

They broadcast Enter Sandman and So What on the radio. The broadcast stopped after One.

@@girishpatel5366 sorry I meant they DIDNT broadcast Enter Sandman and So What on the radio, at least not on UK Radio one.
Enter and so what were the rarest material ever recorded.

Die Power damals der Wahnsinn. Gott sei dank durfte ich es miterleben
Thanks very much!!
Metallica en su esplendor
The best .
mtv asked them not to swear:)) james started with a swear, great middle finger to mtv
Or rather the BBC as it was being broadcast live on Radio One.
But now Metallica has become very cultured and polite. And James doesn't even drink. He must have realized something.
