Wow what a project. That’s overwhelming. I won’t complain about fixing a couple tiles in my bathroom or kitchen again. That was really interesting to see.
If you swerve JUST ONE FOOT too far on the road when driving, your whole life would also end. People are careful and they often understand risks. It also only takes half a cup of water in your lungs to drown and die. If we let our lives be led by fear, then they will be pretty small and meaningless, hiding in a cave all day.
Use your legs to kick against the bottom of a pool, go straight up and half way use your arms to push you out up. I'll make a video about it when they open the big pool.
2:24 quick correction: the total capacity of the pool doesn’t define the pressure. It’s the depth of the pool and the density of the water that determines it. Let’s say, the formula “P” = p g h where P is pressure in pascals, p is rho, the density per cubic metre, g, the speed of gravity, and h is the height (depth).
I wanted to say the same. I’m a scuba diver. Pressure(bar) = depth (m) / 10 + 1. So at 5 meters depth you’re at 1.5 bar. Another way to see it, is 1m3 of water = 1000KG. Stack 5 1m3’s on top of each other and you get 5 tonnes per square meter.
Those drains are long way from the top. Most pools like that aren’t direct suction systems. The drains and gutter system goes into a surge tank then the pump pulls the water from there.
