Thank you Bro Phil! I was saved at the age of 5 Christian School and a Baptist church brought me up to fear the Lord and stay out my the hog pen. But, sadly like you said about those youth, I was on the fence and went into the hog pen and in my Christian nature I knew I was in the slop. I got out of that mess. And now putting Jesus as my Shepherd my Herdsmen my Lord. I’m 27 years old. There’s things I wish I hadn’t known. Thank you for your faithfulness to preach the truth!!

Amen! Another timely sermon and The Holy Spirit used Dr Kidd to answer a question I had. God is good....too much easy believism in the Congregation today. Repeat this prayer. No message of real repentance or real discipleship. The only discipleship I got was in the Marine Corps, but, once my Brother in Christ went back home, I was left by myself. Churches that I have attended over these many years have never thought there was a need to disciple someone after leading them to Jesus. Isn't there a clear example in the New Testament where that was given? You can't lead someone to Christ and expect them to fend for themselves the other 6 days of the week. I always felt The Holy Spirit was leading me to tackle something like this, but, I never acted on it because I didn't know how. Suicides in our military are at an all time high and as a Retired Veteran that causes me great pain. They need to know that Jesus has the answer. Help us Father.
You just lost me - Deacon's are extremely important for Church life and ministry to have complete leadership, we also need Bishops Prophets Pastors Evangelists, etc. I ask you one question: Is it because you are unwilling to be under God's ordained authority?
