- Sawyer was joined by his talented musician cousin, Arthur Lee Fredericks, 19 years old, at all of this week's farmers markets. They really gelled on this original song by Sawyer- you can see how much they enjoyed the jam session. Arthur Lee has amazing improv skills!Such a treat for the listeners!! Wow that was Fantastic both of you! Sawyer I first saw you a few years back at the Acoustic Coffee House at the Methodist Church in Fultonville. It was so go I told Tom Staudle " I would buy his CD right now if he had one" since then I have relocated to NC, but remain fans. We watched you on The Voice and were so impressed . You just don't think a sound that genuine, that REAL, could come from someone so young but you cannot judge a book by it's cover.

Yes, he has the mature sound of someone who has been singing for years. But I'd compare him more to Steve Winwood, who was also a child prodigy, rather than Janis Joplin. Winwood joined the Spencer Davis Group when he was 14, and always sounded like a much older musician.
I love the analogy! Sawyer is reminiscent of all our old beloved down and gritty singer/songwriters but he is new and unique and I'm thrilled beyond words that I have a new idol

Sawyer now has a band put together for the West Coast tour and they are in rehearsals getting ready. Arthur Lee is in his newly formed group. When I read about him getting a group together I was hoping that would be the case and Sawyer just confirmed it in a new interview with Brad Coony. Very cool. I hope someone periscopes the West Coast shows!
This is a really cool version of the song. Arthur's guitar playing just makes it all the better. I would like to hear more songs with Arthur adding guitar parts, they sound really good together.

Sawyer would need a band when he plays bigger venues and longer sets, to add variety and texture to his songs and sustain audience interest. I say bring cousin Art in to start the ball rolling. Art takes Sawyer's songs to a whole new level! I did not even notice the performance lasted more than 7 minutes. I really enjoyed their videos together. My favorite is 4 Pockets.

You are both fantastic to listen to! Love the way you play the guitar Art, you don't try and out play Sawyer. You guys seem to be so in tune with each other, Sawyer I first heard you on Fox News in the breaks, there summer concerts by memory and I did a search on Sawyer Fredericks and spent the next 4-5 hours engrossed in your music. I tell and show everyone about you, I just can't get enough of your music Sawyer. Personally I think that your music is absolutely fantastic, and also that you are maybe a new young John Lennon, actually there is no maybe about it. You are a once in a generation or even two generations a true natural musical artist, you will rise to be a superstar, that I have no doubt about at all, and thank you for letting us into your heart and soul, all the best my friend, love you and Art together. You don't need anyone else in your band, just the two of you sounds absolutely fantastic. Anyone else in the band begins to take away your simplicity and begins to over complicate your music and sound to ones ear. Love to see just you two together, even though Sawyer is magic by himself, Art adds that great electric guitar sound without being overbearing. Again thank you, thank you, thank you to you both. 😃

Always jealous when people so young play the guitar so easily... Arthur plays those licks so beautifully and crafted into the song, and they are so atuned like they have been jamming for ages... I bought both albums of Sawyer, and the album of before the Voice is already so grown up! I enjoy his current voice more, but the kid rocks! Would love to see a redo of his first album with his grown voice and soul. Accompanied by Arthur, two souls on the same beautiful page...
Have you seen youtube videos of live performances on Newyorker9 channel? Sawyer and band do a rockin' version of Not My Girl with Arthur on bass. Some of the other old songs have been videoed with Sawyer's adult voice, though they're solos.

Sawyer just announced the West Coast leg of his national tour in support of his soon-to-be-released album. Art plays bass guitar in Sawyer's touring band. It's amazing to see how far these cousins and pals have come in such a short time.
