Birds, see them sitting on power lines, same principal. Notice how you don't see them sitting on high voltage transmission even though they could is because the initial discomfort of landing or bonding on as you see the lineman do it causes a slight discomfort which scares them off. distribution voltage serving homes in the alley or street does not cause this and the reason they land on them.
Is all line work done on live wires ? Stupid question probably, but do some energy company’s just de energize lines so that their employees can work safely? My boyfriend is in lineman school and I’m nervous about this.😞
Do these high-risk-of-death/injury jobs like working on power lines, climbing radio towers, and SCUBA cleaning water towers pay much, and do people need worthless degrees to do them?
Not my lights. My lights go off all the time but I am not as demanding as some say. I usually fix whatever is wrong myself so don't have to deal with anyone that could make it worse.
These are apprenticeship entry jobs. Hard as fuck to get into one, at least where I live. The journeyman lineman around here make 45 bucks an hour. No worthless degrees needed.
Thanks for your work and God bless you
I bare-handed yesterday, I should have used lube because I got friction burns on my Dong
Hello! Your video is great! Thank you for sharing! 👍👍👍🤝🤝🤝
Who was the first person to experiment doing this?

The powerline bust
is there any way i could get inot an apprenticeship at this company?

No all line work is not done energized, but if properly trained live line work is done safely all of the time.
The guy didn’t see the deer that day Siri shit the powerline the powerline burst
Who's tested on the field? 280 What? I don't know how to read mine. All I know is that it beeps and flashes red.
Id like to see them do that in the rain
Wait i have always thought that the suit and the gloves are insulating rather than conducting?
Their suit and aerial bucket act as Faraday cage. The insulation is the fiberglass boom of the truck which prevents current flow down to the ground.
The suits are only needed for transmission voltages, for the lower voltages like 44000 and below you don’t need the suits.

@jameswitt47
Go to Uni, then send them your CV
No university need, just a 4 year internship

Only 45 an hr? I wouldn't get out of bed for less than 55 nowadays
